Fantastic quality build...I can only dream of affording the Moki Radial...like all new planes the maiden can be interesting as you are not sure how it will initially behave...a lot of Pilots at our club will never do a maiden and will always pass it onto someone else...I always do my own...great flying and landing..
Beautiful aircraft, and possibly nervous first flight with the now disputed MIG15 killers name on the fuselage. However he did fly, was I in 802 Squadron at the time of the MIG kill.... I believe this squadron knocked bits off other MIGs in the same Korean engagement..Just goes to show what a fast and effective Fighter this was...the last of powerful piston engined fighters...
The Seafury was a beast. 2,500 HP 18 cylinder engine, 460 mph top speed - and a beautiful design. Your remote control 1/4 scale model has an astonishing level of detail. I'm not sure you did a full-power climb and dive fly-past - even though the fly-by's were sweet with the Moki giving a bit of a howl. I'll keep watching. But, well done!
My 1/5 scale to Roy Vallancourt Plan with Olympic 54 cc flies beautifully too. Enven better than my P-51. Well done guys. Get those flaps up on landing roll out helps prevent nose over.
It does like to take a sniff on that grass luckily it seems like nothing broke. Nice flight even if it is/was tail heavy! Nice safe at the end I saw it was intending to take another taste of mother earth lol
I had that same plane as well as a Mits Zero and a Corsair. They are all taildraggers and you have to give full up elevator on initial run-up from the start and then gradually let off the elevator once the airflow increases across the control surfaces as the plane picks up speed. Otherwise the power from the engine will pull the nose and prop right into the ground. It took me three props to learn that lesson with the Corsair. It seems the pilot is slightly inexperienced with warbirds. Great landing though.
Actually, the pilot is highly experienced. One of the best pilots in Western Australia on all types of aircraft. This was a maiden flight of a very complex model. You have to remember that you are not flying a proven air-frame during a maiden flight.
It wasnt tail heavy .. I took of with take off flaps . A big mistake on my part . It took of with too much drag hence the wing drop just after take of it was going too slow . Once it was up to speed and It trimmed it out all was fine .. I dont use flaps now for takeoff. Only landings 😁
Thank you. I'm the owner and builder . It was tail heavy to begin with.. I balanced it with the help from my mates on pivot points . For its size it was very close , my main issue was taking of with takeoff flaps .BAD IDEA it wouldn't accelerate fast enough that's why it dropped a wing ..other flights have been fine 🙂
The guy in the gray shorts was initially blocking the left wing, but after it starts he just faces the prop arc providing a great target for any failure . How about a little situational awareness.? 39kg is 86lbs, isn't that just a bit heavy? She's a hangar queen, your asking too much from the wing. Unless you put her on a serious diet I don't see a long life for this plane.
Congrats on this prime tutorial on how not to maiden. Engine running, ready to take off, discovers the flaps are mixed with throttle. Takes off and 'discovers' it's tail-heavy... CG is measured in the workshop, not in the air.
@@clementgoetke2385 Absolutely. I don't even recall all the maidens I've done over 25 years of RC. So you can start rolling over and play dead. If I were to witness the "flap incident" before a maiden, I'd jump in my car and get out of there. btw, I think you wanted to write "they're a f------g expert". And yes, I'm a flying expert (I presume that's what "f------g" stands for).

What a fabulous noise. I live near Goodwood and regularly hear the Spit & Harvard tourers overhead, this is just as compelling.
Don't you dare crash it. !!!
Beautiful workmanship !!
GREAT BUILD, NICE SOUND AND LOOKS. CONGRATTS ON THE MAIDEN FLIGHT OSSY.

Beautiful model; perfectly flown; excellent photography 🎉
There should be more comments on this and likes for such a beautiful plane. Well done from the US.
PS. Smoooooooth!!!
Thanks ed .. it's a pitty there idiots on here that make smart ass comments with no idea or the skills to back them selves

Love all the detail on this bird. thanks for posting.

Wow beautiful work. That much fun should be illegal. Sounrs like a Radial 5 cy Moki maybe a 250cc
She's a 300cc. Built by a fiend of mine and it is way more stunning in the flesh. Work of art and still in one piece.
ABSOLUTELY BLOODY BRILLIANT WELL DONE
My god that was a sketchy take off. Those fly buys are fantastic. Beautiful aircraft. Great craftsman’s ship.
Thank you I'm the owner builder .. I shouldnt have taken of with the flaps down to the first stage . I dont use them now only for landing
Very nice built and beautiful airplane, Congrat's!
A thing of beauty, AWEDSOME....great build...congratts.
Nice one vinny and good filming too
ONe of my favorite airplanes. Fantastic model!
Brilliant.......the relief on landing!!!!
Well done fellas.
Beauty plane. That engine sounds like a beast.
Brilliant masterpiece 👍👏...understand your relief after a safe landing. What a beauty 👍👍🍻all the best from Munich
Thank you very much
Well done!! Nice to know KAMS is still going strong. 👍
My arse cheeks are too clenched Nige 😅 pure gold
Great looking plane with great engine sound.
Good job. What a stresser!
That sounds amazing.

Well done!!! Nice landing!! Great flight, she sounds great!
Congrats, nice bird!!
Nice build. Wish she had a 5 blade prop.
Me too bernard .. unfortunately that's another $6000 aud from seidel props
I'm the owner builder . Vince

33 years experience thanks .. flying scale jets ...giant scale warbirds .. gliders . Pylon racers . And I'm also a MAAA inspector 😉
had to comment so amazing plane
Hi there absolutely stunning model I am building one myself would you possibly be Abel to tell me the paint color names if possible cheers jonny
Hi Jonny. I will let Vinny (The Builder) know so just look out for his reply.
dark sea grey and light sky green or sky green.
. Great looking plane
Why were your flaps going up when you advanced throttle?
It was a preset flap setting in the radio. It was re programmed and corrected before the maiden flight.
Anyone know the top speed for this model plane, same engine, etc Sounds and flies awesome.
Please don’t stand in the arc of the propeller. Beautiful build, well presented.
Excellent!
fantastic!
Excellent Plane
So cool!!
Like they say down this way. Your a good stick!
Very nice !
Was it tail heavy? The take off was sketchy ...great job...takes a lot to maiden your own build.
Not tail heavy. I believe it was just trim issues. Vinny will be able to fill you in here.

I know very little about this type of remote controlled model but how dangerous is it to stand that close to those props like that ?
Stand behind the prop is OK. Never stand in front at high RPM.
@@staples919 look at the guy in the gray shorts during start up, facing the prop arc.
That’s fantastic! I wondered what country this was in till I heard “Oh you bitch! “ then I knew 😂
Nice maiden- nice model. Way to stick with it.
Another tail heavy scale model.

Spoiler: Not a model - the real thing.
I will take that as a compliment. It was all model.
@@staples919 You're welcome !
🤟🤟👍
Oh, and the landing was perfect. Just greased it on.
Not really, she wasn't gliding she was falling.
Wow
Way to go keeping a nose down attitude all the way to touch down! A heavy low wing bird is not forgiving!

it amazes me how people that have never done anything like this in their life think their a f-----g expert on such things!
