I'm thinking about getting in the skydiving because I fell in love with the canopy flight after the tandem. I'm not so sure jumping out of the plane is a fun thing to do yet though haha. I should actually try to become a paraglider

When you ground launch skydiving canopies, you take the slider off. Slider assists opening of a canopy when it comes out of the container . Also it restricts the canopy to spread out . Will fly better without, and it gets in the way. Looking at the condition, it is a little bit windy. Proximity flying at high speed is the dope. Ideally, under 7 nots, lay the canopy on the ground grab the front riser and run.
hmm it makes absolutely no difference especially on that canopy and if it did, it would hardly be noticable. it makes absolutely no sense to take it off. it's a waste of time.
I used to jump the same canopy and wondering for years how would it fly in GL. I'm hapoy to see it does! Thank you! So, do you reckon a 150sqf would fly better?

Someone approached me at the plan praz launch in chamonix, asking about the landing site before launching after a prolonged run with a similar jump chute .i still have the ultimate climbing helmet which he neglected to strap on before he left
I can promise you it flies better than a paraglider, being paragliders are bullshit death machines. it may sink but it's not going to collapse on you with absolutely no warning or reason lol. I remember doing that back in 2001 thinking how cool and fun it was.
