I think what makes Lawson the technically best choice is how he should’ve won DTM when Albon was there and he won Super Formula easily and he’s not far behind Yuki despite being new and he’s a lot more mature than Yuki (see Bahrain 2024). Edit- AND he’s a real RedBull academy driver.
that’s just another thing to say because the data shows yuki is better. they don’t want a honda contracted driver to sit in the main seat, and once 2026 they won’t have honda so they’ll release him. this is their plan. they never were gonna promote him no matter what.

@ not because he is embarking on a dream, but because if Red Bull does what RB so often does, it may not be good for his longterm career. Signed: Superman 🤣
Sounds like Red Bull wanted a cut throat driver that resembles max. If their car is sub par next year it probably won’t matter. I also think Red Bull is searching for the next Max, rookie-ish driver that is raw and can give them success in the future.
If Yuki is to get a better drive, it's gonna have to be with a team that will be affiliated with Honda. Don't put this on Red Bull, the question is will Honda step up and get Yuki a better ride?
It just makes more sense to put in Lawson due to Yuki being a Honda driver for when Ford is Red Bulls engine partnership and with the driver line up in other teams needs a new partnership
If Yuki had given Perez the middle finger the narrative would have been very different. Lawson is "fiery", Yuki has a "temper". It's such bullshit. And Horner and Red Bull forced Yuki into a contract when other teams were interested. Horner is lying. He is twisting things to make it seem like Red Bull would be doing Yuki a favour to let him go, when they created this whole mess in the first place.
How dumb is Yuki? If it was gonna happen it would've years ago. Dan was gonna get that seat had that plan worked before he got the boot. And the fact Liam has come in and been on par with Yuki why is everyone surprised 15:20
At least they could have told him 6 months ago that he wasn’t the favoured child. It would have allowed him to regroup if not for 2025-26. Clinging on to a driver for years after years, then ultimately dumping him when he delivers, and the opportunity arises; is not a class act in my book.
After all the test sessions and internal interviews , I think Max had the final say on who his running mate would be . Max knows who he can bully and it's not Yuki (where it woukd matter on track) . Yuki would have more weight to expose any unfair shenanigans Max would try pulling where Lawson would fold because he has less skin in the game . Yuki will be around for a while in the sport . I just wish for him to be with a team that shows appreciation for his incredible talent before he burns out from the politics . A whole class of new drivers is on the rise so more teams on the grid can't come soon enough . Beep beeeep , Lets go !

How was Hamilton’s driver of the day at Spa controversial? He lead the entire race and should have won on merit had his teammate used a strategy that would have ensured they had a legal car at the end of the race instead of an illegal car.
That comment from Horner on Yuki basically says it all, it’s never going to happen and he should start looking elsewhere. This is beyond unfair to Yuki.
Lawson should have been promoted to Alpha Tauri ahead of Nick Devries and Danny Ric, this would have given him a couple of years testing against Tsunoda for the Red bull seat. to be fair Tsunoda was rubbish in his first two seasons took him 4 to come right, hopefully they give Liam a decent shot.
Don't worry, Yuki. Just do your best and by the time Red Bull notices, the other teams will have noticed you too. The offers will come and Red Bull will be on the losing end.
Why always the comparison to Yuki when it comes to qualifying? Perhaps you know something RB don’t and you should help them out and send them some links to your channel so the penny finally drops for them. I am sure it will be painfully obvious for them once they finally get it. Yuki robbed? Not a chance. He’s had 4 years both in the public eye and behind the scenes to make this a very simple decision for RB and it seems they have made their decision.
Why would Red Bull (who has a technical partnership with Ford for 2026) sign a guy who is backed by Honda? In fact, I think they'll get rid of Yuki after '25.
I think Yuki will prove himself in '25 and things will improve for him. Lawson is interesting; perhaps he will be a Max in the future, I think he has the glass in the heart to do it, but not next year. I wonder if RB will regret their move. Ferrari won't because even if Lewis doesn't perform well, and he will🏎👍, it's all about the combined branding. Well done on the constant output; you are much appreciated. When do you do Xmas shopping😂?
With Yukon and Lawson it is definitely a case of progression. Yuki is basically at his peak and Lawson definitely has much more to give and improve on. I feel really bad for Yuki because he has done everything he could, but at te end of the day F1 is a business and long term Lawson has a lot more promise than Yuki. In terms of a Rwanda F1, that is never going to happen. They don’t have any real Motorsport season to speak of, and without even a Grand Prix circuit, they will never get a slot over Kyalami who already has a top spec circuit and only need to upgrade a couple of areas to be F1 ready.
Yuki is quiet compared to Hadjar. Maybe the team name is still illfitting or wrong. Now Yuki's angry with being used as a yardstick, beaten everyone. Then still been past over and with Hadjars mouth on the radio. Raging Bulls, anyone??🤣🤣🤣🤣
Red Bull doesn't need a second team. Goodbye Horner. Stroll's dad can buy Racing Bulls and have a 2 team system to go for TOP. Drivers can be Drugovich and Yuki.
“It was his mental strength that tipped the scales” So they have some rookie that they have coddled since he was in the womb, vs Yuki, who has been bashing heads in the sport for five years and never got a call to the big show, and they’re surprised he’s mad that they chose the other guy and said naughty words? Holy shit on a fucking stick.
According to the Red Bull management, judging by how quickly Lawson was promoted to the Red Bull team with only a token F1 experience, they are saying that Lawson is a much better prospect than Max was when he was promoted.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 After a year of resetting the bar, for rookies drivers, in a junior car, Max was upgraded to the Red Bull team. After 6 disappointing races, in the junior team, where he proved that he does not follow team orders when he risked everything to block a senior team driver, costing both teams critically important championship points, and then willfully damaged the senior teams car. Try to imagine how Joss Verstappen & Max feels about being 'hogtied by a midfield driver, with questionable F1 experience, like Lawson, and being discredited by Horner's very poor sense of judgement.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 Think about this, Hamilton asked Toto to keep Bottas & Toto shafted him with Russell and we all witnessed the Mercedes teams rapid decline. Knowing that next year was going to be the toughest year to get his fifth WDC, Max asked the Red Bull management to retain Checo & they decided to follow Toto's lead & shaft him with Lawson, who has no experience & performed badly in the last RB20's tire testing. As you know, F1 success is a 110% team effort. Does crippling Max with the inexperienced Lawson, that will hold the team back, make sense to you?
@@midas7394 Please tell me this. WHY would Red Bull want to "cripple" Max? Max is the cork that keeps Red Bull afloat! Without Max Red Bull would have been nothing and have gotten NO prizes this year. So WHY "cripple" him? There is no logic to your words.
Tsunoda can't really complain. RB was probably forced to take on him because of the Honda engine. He's lucky to have a drive considering how much time RB allowed him to develop. If he was that good I'm sure his manager would've shopped him around and another team would've scooped him up.
It's been clear for a few years that Horner doesn't want Yuki in the Red Bull. thinking back when Riccardo was given the 2024 seat over Lawson and there we're rumors that Horner wanted Riccardo and Lawson, but Marko reminded Horner that Yuki comes with a lot of Honda money so Yuki stays. Strange to me that with Horner now making it clear Yuki has no future within the Red Bull family at the same time Honda and Red Bull part ways. yuki has shown especially over the last two season he has more then earned his place on the grid, I don't think he is a top four team driver but there are going to be 7 other team in 2026 and Yuki's management team should be knocking on every door
It's so interesting to know that Lawson's favorite race was Abu Dabhi 2021, I can imagine how it is gonna be this coming season with all those teenagers on the track 😂, lots of cash flying to the sky and principals sitting on the edge waiting to see how much they have to invest on week races...😂
This whole Redbull/F1 situation is like the anime Darling in the Franxx and Max is like Zero Two, when is Max gonna find his darling without destroying them xD
Yuki Tsunoda lost the most places of any driver during the 2024 Formula 1 season, finishing 1.7 places lower than he qualified on average. Liam went forward on average. So Yuki looks like a quali specialist but falls back in the race. Liam tends to make up places.
I wouldn't feel that bad for Yuki if RB picked up Sainz, but RB doesn't want anyone in their 2nd car that's gonna REALLY fight against their golden goose Max. Honer said back in 2017 "We are going to build the team around Max." 7 going on 8 years later... it's still business as usual.
Every team has a change in driver lineup except Aston MArtin & McLaren. wow! ANd I agree Yuki sould have gotten the RB drive, he has done everything better than all of his team mates by a long shot.
All Yuki needed was a British passport. Geri Halliwell-Horner says ‘Scream If You Wanna Go Faster’ and Christian Horner says ‘Goodbye’. In Formula One it is a real honour to have a British passport, even more than a Superlicence. I am ashamed of Horner for proving that.
they understand but they just dont care , f1 is not real world for most peope its a fantasy , drivers arent real for them , they are characters and they should behave like written characters
It’s just politics, he’s a Honda paid driver. Hence his 4 and now 5 years in the bridesmaid team. His attitude has always stunk from year 1. He’s a great driver quite obviously, but he’s lacking that elite professionalism an F1 driver should have across the board.
I think Tsonoda deserves that seat, it's a matter of Optics in my opinion. Maybe Lawson will grow and get faster, but Tsunoda has done everything asked from him? He might just surprise them. I think it's shortsighted or maybe Honda/Japan are out of flavour now with Red Bull and going to Aston Martin.
Why don't you people even put the thought that Liam and Isaac (tests) barely sat on F1 cars, so keeping Yuki might just be acareful step just for not having 2 rookies at Alpha tauri. Also Issac is very fiery
RBR is truly a laughingstock at this point. Yuki Tsunoda, with the experience he has gained from his time on the track, would have been a far more competent choice for them. Meanwhile, bringing in a rookie like Liam Lawson is a gamble that could end up costing the team significantly in terms of damage and repairs. As for Checo, he'll just be sitting on the sidelines, probably enjoying some popcorn while watching the chaos unfold!
What? Lawson had one crash in 11 starts - and it was caused by a rampant Colapinto - and the damage was minor. His track record for avoiding crashes compared with other rookies is outstading.
Yuki is absolutely right. What did Liam do to earn that spot? He drove 6 races and was outperformed by Yuki. It’s not like he is a special talent. Yuki earned that spot. Yuki will go to the I don’t give a F mode at VCARB. He will race Liam extremely hard when they fight eachother on the track.

POV of Yuki now singing “what a man gotta do” to this damn team
(Look up the lyrics you won’t be disappointed)
'Mental Strength' lol Lawson had Fernando Alonso in his head living rent free.
that’s just another thing to say because the data shows yuki is better. they don’t want a honda contracted driver to sit in the main seat, and once 2026 they won’t have honda so they’ll release him. this is their plan. they never were gonna promote him no matter what.
Rwanda, pay to play. Grant the head of rhe FIA extraordinary powers and we'll give you a race to sports wash your country's problems.
Lawson will be Perez 2.0, but if can be a little better and consistent RB might say that's good enough
Surprised Webber is cool with his driver being a number two. Multi 21 still in memory.
Yukon has taken years to get his head together. Liam had it together on day one.
Yeah no! This decision has nothing to do with head space or mentality!
Yeah thats why liam was slower in races and in qualifying when they were teamates ... Lol this is not even me being biased because i cant because literally the numbers are there.
Lawson lost both quali and race when they were teamates together last year
Yukon?

The answer nothing he can do just give hes best and hope another Top Team wants him otherwise its game over
He could drive better…
Yuki got MOGGED by Lawson.
It’s a shame.
Feel sorry for Liam and he’s in for a rough ride
It's the toughest seat on the grid - but don't feel sorry for him - it is what he has dreamed of all his life - now it's up to him to deliver.
Huh?? Feeling sorry for a young man about to embark on a lifetime adventure that us mere mortals can only dream about, and your feeling sorry for him?
@ not because he is embarking on a dream, but because if Red Bull does what RB so often does, it may not be good for his longterm career. Signed: Superman 🤣
Sounds like Red Bull wanted a cut throat driver that resembles max. If their car is sub par next year it probably won’t matter. I also think Red Bull is searching for the next Max, rookie-ish driver that is raw and can give them success in the future.
The captions at 00:28 has it as "very much in TT to your thoughts.." yeah sounds about right
I'm all for races in Africa. We don't need 3 GP in the USA. Miami and Vegas are lame. Keep COTA only.
I agree with miami, but vegas has been pretty good so far.
@@masonkaye5 nah man, Vegas is the most boring track.
Just straight line...
Neither Yuki, nor Lawson deserve the Redbull seat. IMHO. (On a side note, it'll never happen, but could you imagine Alonso getting a ride wtih them?).
Thats my dream team, the most ruthless and skilled pair on the grid IMO.
I could see Alonso accepting that role at this stage TBH
Let's start an online campaign! The season would be epic. Alonso @ RBR
Max and Alo, Lec and Ham, Nor and Pia, Rus and Ant.... a season to end all seasons. Especially before thr rule changes in 26'
If Yuki is to get a better drive, it's gonna have to be with a team that will be affiliated with Honda. Don't put this on Red Bull, the question is will Honda step up and get Yuki a better ride?
I guess it depends if Alonso retires at the end of 2025
It just makes more sense to put in Lawson due to Yuki being a Honda driver for when Ford is Red Bulls engine partnership and with the driver line up in other teams needs a new partnership
Honda dumped Red Bull.
Red Bull dumped Yuki.
Horner punishing Honda.
Yuki is Honda's Protege
Totally .. it really is this linear.
Had Honda stayed it may have been different.
Red Bull= panicked Horner, Dr. No, errr Marko, Max's "stable", pop, & NO Newey🤣
Excellent commentary
Yuki is goated in comment sections. Hes just pandering.
At least they could have told him 6 months ago that he wasn’t the favoured child. It would have allowed him to regroup if not for 2025-26. Clinging on to a driver for years after years, then ultimately dumping him when he delivers, and the opportunity arises; is not a class act in my book.
7:05 anyone remember when the party line was yuki’s maturity was the problem😂😂😂😂
YUKI is HONDA DRIVER and Honda is leaving in 2026 and YUKI leaves then too!!! So ofc YUKI won’t get the RBR seat!!
He shouldn’t of shown RB how fast he would be next to Max
Everyone vote yuki for driver of the day next year for every race
His incredible talent...?
Where have you seen it? Took him 4 years to learn how to drive that Car...
@Andrea-vl6mf Neither us know or can reasonably tell why that may have been . And , I know I don't have a super license .
@@cieloame2705Neither of us was being paid by honda just to drive a car and do it badly.
If all you do in ur life is drive a car , and you cant do it well then its only fair for you to leave the sport and go somewhere else.

If you hire someone who has shown you he can do the same as someone who was given to you with the engine and forced to keep , thne is a no brainer.
Ive seen lot of ppl calling it Racist, but why racist?
Yuuki lost his first year to Gasly, and whenever he has beaten someone, this someone had 1/10 of his experience and got sacked.
Yuuki on the other hand, never did anything good, and for Lawson to be faster or as fast as Yuuki with 10 races compared to almost 100 of Yuuki, he should feel embarassed...
@@Andrea-vl6mf Yes . And we now see who's faired better (from those you mentioned) throughout the changes to the cars as well .
@@cieloame2705 So we agree that Yuuki doesnt deserve anything in F1 right?
He has to earn his spot by proving his pace.
So far in the race he kept going backward...
Thank you!
How was Hamilton’s driver of the day at Spa controversial? He lead the entire race and should have won on merit had his teammate used a strategy that would have ensured they had a legal car at the end of the race instead of an illegal car.

@@louisbeerreviews8964 Your sheet is showing.
They could trade out one of the races in the middle east for Africa.
There's no reason why Africa can't have two Grand Prix.
Yeah there is it's called corruption when money starts flowing the vultures will circle
I hope Yuki's anger fuels his performance in the coming season.
The guys were alright-ed
All Right Guys

🇨🇦❤Lt Gen Dallaire's tale, explains 🇨🇦's Rwanda PTSD.😔
Don't worry, Yuki. Just do your best and by the time Red Bull notices, the other teams will have noticed you too. The offers will come and Red Bull will be on the losing end.
Tsunoda would be a repeat of Perez, trying to fight Max, etc.
Honda should Pressure Aston to replace Stroll with Yuki.
It’s funny that they couldn’t do anything to get Liam in the Mastercardvisavenmocashapp Car but he’s the first choice for the Redbull seat
F1 has become a none sport joke . The first Max Championship was the end .
YESSSSS ISACK AND LIAM 💪💪💪💪💪💪 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 so happy for them BOTH
Yuki is quiet compared to Hadjar.
I hope Yuki qualifies right behind Lawson and drives right around him in turn 1.
“It was his mental strength that tipped the scales”
So they have some rookie that they have coddled since he was in the womb, vs Yuki, who has been bashing heads in the sport for five years and never got a call to the big show, and they’re surprised he’s mad that they chose the other guy and said naughty words? Holy shit on a fucking stick.
According to the Red Bull management, judging by how quickly Lawson was promoted to the Red Bull team with only a token F1 experience, they are saying that Lawson is a much better prospect than Max was when he was promoted.
🤣Max was promoted in 1 year, and won his first race...
@@midas7394 Bruh, my observation is that you have no clue what is going on but that you are very convinced about being right. Good luck.
The current circumstances set the scene for a great Yuki Tsunoda redemption arc……
Awesome LIAM !!
Data backs the best man for the job.
Look forward to Super Max getting back up !!
They should have gone for Bottas, the PERFECT second driver. Good in quali and decent enough race pace
Red Bull doesn't want someone in the second seat to race Max. The second driver is there to follow behind Max and act as a blocker.
I don’t think they are trying to put anyone fast, fastest of them were Ric, they let him go.
He beat fraudstappen and lost his way
Every team has a change in driver lineup except Aston MArtin & McLaren.
Yardstick Yuki is forever bound to his VCARB sit
Anyone who is questioning why Yuki did not get the seat doesn’t understand a single thing about Formula One. I mean come one 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
they understand but they just dont care , f1 is not real world for most peope its a fantasy , drivers arent real for them , they are characters and they should behave like written characters
@@tahasoomro8585 Exactly, this is all going off script and it's not acceptable.
It’s just politics, he’s a Honda paid driver. Hence his 4 and now 5 years in the bridesmaid team. His attitude has always stunk from year 1. He’s a great driver quite obviously, but he’s lacking that elite professionalism an F1 driver should have across the board.
@@timothywalker6465 Because lawson is very professional
As bad as I feel for Yuki, he’s still got an F1 drive at RedBull from the 4 seats they have to offer in F1.
How can they say Yuki isn't going to get any better when he's only in a 2nd or 3rd tier car .
You can laugh, but they’ll gladly take their six championships in four seasons
What? Lawson had one crash in 11 starts - and it was caused by a rampant Colapinto - and the damage was minor. His track record for avoiding crashes compared with other rookies is outstading.
@@wilsonowen1731 yep, has driven in the wet impeccably in 2 GPs, when Colapinto crashed twice and Bearman went off track multiple times.
