Where has this band been all my life?! Not only is this tune one of the most danceable pieces in the history of music, but it has nice, subtle touches that musicians can sink their teeth into, like some unexpected and tantalizing deviations in chord progression and a few short but powerful rhythmic flourishes that make the overall beat just a little bit hard to follow in places without creating distracting confusion. You guys are a huge breath of fresh air!
I'm a progressive heavy metal musician and to be honest with you all. I never really got into pop music until I heard these guys these guys. I would consider them to be progressive pop I was really blown away with the first time I heard them and I really like these guys a lot.
This song spoke to me in such a way right now. This was my dads favorite band before he died in September 2018. This song was released 3 days ago when I got engaged. This song being released felt like an amazing reminder that getting ready for marriage without him is still gonna be amazing. I felt like this was a sign from God reminding me that my dad would be so happy for me and everything is gonna be okay. I come from a musical family and my dad was a musician my whole life so to see this was a major comfort. You have no idea. The gift of music goes beyond soul spirit and heart. You feel it in your bones. Thank you dirty loops for being a part of my dads life and mine. You guys are so dope and inspiring.

It’s not music I would normally sing to in my car you know? It’s like so good you just have to listen to it and enjoy it for what it is. The bass, the drums, the keys, these guys have so much chemistry together it’s magic. The song for me isn’t even about the lyrics. It’s purely sound. And damn, if it isn’t a good sound. The video is great too. They’re having so much fun. Their music has brought them together, and they understand each other better for it. They work so well and compliment each other in a way I haven’t heard before. Dirty Loops is here and they’re here to stay. A salute to them, and the art they’ve blessed us with.

Music is something that when you find someone else so dissolved into it, you can't help but feel like you've found a kindred spirit. And ALL music has interesting things about it. Jada was 8 at the time and they treated her like family. i have the picture with them and she wanted to have nothing to do with them, but they loved on her anyway. She loved the concert and they were better live than the videos.
Met these guys in Vegas a couple years ago and they were just stellar human beings. Not to mention insanely great musicians. Funny part was Aron just wanted to talk about video editing and he's getting even better! These guys are just so good, expecting them to break huge any minute now. Keep it up, gentlemen! I had never heard of George Duke before, but, since you put him on the same sentence as Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, I knew he was a beast right away. Then I gave it a listen, and I'm just taken away. Thanks for showing me good music!
These guys are all so good, it just looks easy for them. I'm guessing some people will miss how technically advanced this song is and just put it in their "normal" pop tunes list. It deserves way more than that! As a bass player, I naturally follow Hendrik, but there's exceptional skills at work here, including mixing and engineering.
I can’t imagine anyone will miss how technically challenging this song is. It’s clearly full of crazy musicality, even to non musicians. But it sure is sick and is a brilliant example of how when you’re tight and not sloppy, you can get musically complicated but still have a super deep pocket and a nice groove that’s catchy and enjoyable to listen to. Technical and challenging doesn’t have to be crazy extended microtonal jazz chords in 17/8. It can be in 4/4 and be dancey as hell too.
My favorite Band for many years now. Never disappoint, Always impress, both musically and in talent. The level of dedication to their craft is inspiring on so many levels. This is some of the best engineering on a song I've heard ! The separation of each piece is so amazingly clear, yet the blend is just incredible. Great video on this tune, thx for sharing !
If this had been recorded in the late 80's or 90's I'd agree with you but this type of mix is relatively easy with the availability of audio mixing software/hardware. You can automate the entire mixing process which 30ty yrs ago was done primarily by hand.

I just stumbled onto this for the first time. I am a retired audio Eng that used to tour doing front of house for many big name bands. Im also a guitar player from a young age and studied theory deeply. I am so impressed with the talent of all members. The vocal range is insane. The drummer, bass player are polished musicians not only with theory knowledge but have feel and soul which you cannot teach. The production is amazing as long as the Eng involved. Very impressive and looking forward to hearing more.

Lari Basilio LIVE from the #JammJam at Roskilde" posted 9/11/22 on TH-cam. I was thinking how great it would be to hear them live. The trumpets take this piece to whole new level. Dirty Loops will truly break my heart if they discontinue. I didn't realise how bored I was- musically speaking- until I came across these guys. Their musicianship is superb. As you say, stellar quality enhanced by an equally gifted sound engineer.

Listening to a bunch of Dirty Loops today (why not?) and I'm so thoroughly convinced that these three amazing musicians are an absolute perfect fit for each other. Feel so fortunate to have been listening to them since the earliest videos. Today they are getting the recognition they should have always had. But, dues.

I just stumbled onto this for the first time. I am a retired audio Eng that used to tour doing front of house for many big name bands. Im also a guitar player from a young age and studied theory deeply. I am so impressed with the talent of all members. The vocal range is insane. The drummer, bass player are polished musicians not only with theory knowledge but have feel and soul which you cannot teach. The production is amazing as long as the Eng involved. Very impressive and looking forward to hearing more.

@@fiddlestix3025 Hi there Fiddlestix, just before I decided that I should check my emails and found your message, I had just got home from work and was kicking back listening to "Dirty Loops - Rock You feat. Lari Basilio LIVE from the #JammJam at Roskilde" posted 9/11/22 on TH-cam. I was thinking how great it would be to hear them live. The trumpets take this piece to whole new level. Dirty Loops will truly break my heart if they discontinue. I didn't realise how bored I was- musically speaking- until I came across these guys. Their musicianship is superb. As you say, stellar quality enhanced by an equally gifted sound engineer.
