Who is playing Disney Lorcana? [Release Event Review]

- Disney Lorcana released this weekend! We wanted to know if it lived up to the hype, so, we went to a Lorcana release event at Game Kastle in Austin to see who showed up to play. New players? experienced TCG players? Disney fans? We have to say...we were a bit surprised!
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend. We can't wait to see what this game has in store!

Thank you all so much for attending the Disney Lorcana Launch Party at Game Kastle Austin! We had an amazing event and it was wonderful to see players of all ages come in an experience the game and community!

This is the general vibe I'm getting from the shops I've been in: People of all ages and walks of life stepping into a space where they're not familiar but becoming a part of the great community and enjoying hobbies! Are there things that could've gone better? Sure! But I won't let that take away the joy and excitement this weekend brought many people including myself. Well done on this video and I hope to see more content like this!!

When people started describing this game as a threat to MtG or Pokemon, well, that’s not the right way to look at the game. It’l could actually enlarge the TCG player base by welcoming so many new players into card games.
We would argue, it actually helps other TCGs - it doesn’t really hurt them 😊

I've been following Lorcana since the beginning while also stepping a decent bit away as not to get caught up in too much of the drama and controversy but i'm glad that it's finally here. I've been waiting for so long. I know Lorcana is gonna go places with how many people across the world are Disney fans and TCG fans. I can't wait to see the next chapter of Lorcana and see where this amazing Disney card game takes its players.

Loved seeing this! Such a good mix of people at that release. A TCG where women and children feel comfortable showing up at locals and enjoying themselves is what I'm personally using as a success metric for Lorcana. Off to a great start ❤
