As many people have compared, The Welcome to Nightvale podcast series has a similar tone of being blase about supernatural terrors, and will apparently be getting a tv series sometime soon.
"I sold my soul for a used dishwasher and would like it back" Definitely written in the same spirit as this gem. If you haven't checked it out already, I strongly recommend it. These two were downright refreshing.

It's almost like it's hilarious for him. Listening to these stoned is f****** comical. It's like the way I feel about everyday life even though I don't have extraordinary things going on. Like I just feel that done with people and the world and the random normal strange crap that I'm just not caught off guard and he's going through things that are ten times worse and is just as tired of it. For some reason it's comical and I love it but yet it's an interesting story as well.
