One of the prerequisite of establishing a diplomatic relation with China is that a country must acknowledge the One China Policy, which means 182 countries, accounting for 92% of all countries, must have ackonwledged the One China Policy. And yet the lady in this debate says it is not widely acknowledged internationally. It makes me wonder the credebility of these panelists.

There are only two possibilities: either she don't know what she says, or she lies.

Taiwan is a part and province of China China has the sole absolute right to exercise its right over Taiwan its got nothing to do about what system or policy is happening in Taiwan The USA has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of China

What 'aggressive' action. Taiwan is a province, agreed as such by almost every country in the world. The Taiwan matter is an internal affair of China, and is of no business to other countries in the world.

Peking has dropped their movement towards destabilizing the dollar while they now have pushed for the development of tourism in order to have a growing economic growth rate.

Compared to the US military presence around the world, NATO's eastward expansion and Israel's indiscriminate slaughter in Gaza, I wonder what kind of actions China has taken that can be called aggressive?

This is a wonderful contract! It is a civilized scholarly debate on the merit of having deeper diplomatic engagements with a totalitarian regime whose governmental policy is "whatever the Chairman feels like today".

This diplomatic jaw- jaw has worked well....FOR CHINA!! Meanwhile China has built its armed forces, had troubles with India, Philippines, Vietnam and virtually everyone else!! That's was weak diplomacy does.
