Yeah Phil. I don't know if I will ever take mine camping but the option is there if I am remote. This is mainly for home after a cyclone mate. Sometimes solar is no good if you get weeks of bad weather. I am getting a plug on the house for post cyclone power outages. Mate if you are remote camping, what is the problem with cranking up the gen set to get the battery back to 100% for night time? I must say, running them at night around other people is for form but it happens.

Good option. We decided to get a generator which turned out to be similar weight (with fuel) to the extra solar panels and fittings we were considering for our camper. We use it occasionally and only require short run time to top up the batteries via ac charger. Generator has also been handy around the house in Qld.

From the picture on the box, it looks like a quality product. Being an Engel I'm sure it is. Although you did mention it I want to reiterate the point. If it fails while you are out camping in some other part of Australia. Go into the nearest BCF and it's dealt with. No bullshit. Under $1400 for a name brand, 2300W rated generator, that has a built-in inverter, a 4 year warranty and you did support a local business in the process. It also looks good in that green. The colour doesn't matter but it almost matches your Ryobi stuff. Portable. No shame in getting the bigger 3500W Engel from your local BCF for the house. If you're happy with your Engel, stay with the brand and dealer. For the previously stated reasons. You nailed it Buck!!!
Hi Buck , I had a 2KVA generator running my kitchen fridge, ceiling fans and the tv with no dramas at all over the Xmas period on the Gold Coast when we lost power for a week.

Looks good buck, im sure being Engel it’s going to do the job they wouldn’t put out something without doing proper testing that would ruin their brand and when it’s half the cost it’s a no brainer
Hello mate. Good choice! Don't worry about all the Brand name jibber jabber you hear, everyone has their OWN circumstances and needs. The Engel will serve you for what you want just fine. For the record, during my week long post TC KIRRILI power outage, a little 2.5KVA powered all the ceiling fans (9), 7 fridges/freezers and lights, including power from power points to charge phones etc. STRICTLY - NO KETTLE, MICROWAVE, TOASTERS! We all know that they suck the guts out of a smallish gen set.
Don't have to explain yourself, everyone does their own research and goes from there, I've got 2 Engel fridges, great product, horses for causes, stay cool (pun intended)😂😂😂
Hi Buck, Ros and Rafa. I feel the same way you do Buck. I Bought Tom an Engel Fridge last year before our trip on the Oodnadatta Track. I couldnt justify additional money for a product either A wasnt necessarily better or B I didnt feel had done the hard yards like Engel had. So Engel it was. My closest BCF had sold out but rang ahead to our next BCF to secure the Fridge I wanted and when I arrived to pick it up and pay for it, the friendly blokes serving me were outstanding and then they carried it out and put it in the back of my car. I would 100% support BCF again. Tom and I are thrilled with our Fridge, and would definitely feel equally encouraged to purchase the Engel Generator! @@Mrbuckaroonie.. Cheers🇨🇦🇦🇺🍻
Hi Buck , I had a 2KVA generator running my kitchen fridge, ceiling fans and the tv with no dramas at all over the Xmas period on the Gold Coast when we lost power for a week.
Ok phill give us a six part rundown 😂
🤣
What do they weigh mate? I remember the 2.5kva gennies we had back in the army days were a four man lift, two if you were feeling peachy.
Kate they are nothing like the Army 2.5 kva's. 24 kgs so one man lift.
@@Mrbuckaroonie.. I love it when you call me Kate 😂😂😂
You diddlydonk 😅
The best thing I did was buy a generator I have 3 car fridges and heaps of solar but I was trying to move food in the middle of a cyclone great move Buck.
Cheers mate
At the start of the video, I thought what's he on about, then you had me sold at the end.
Cheers mate. I take a while to get to the point!!!! lol
Whitelabel products with whatever company name they want to print on it .
Yeah most likely mate but 4 year warranty sold me.
Briggs and Stratton motor 79cc. Should be fine Buck. I do have a Honda EU30IS so I am a bit biased towards the Honda
Hey Bucky, when you gonna get some dirt on your sirocco mate
Shortest Buckaroonie vid ever! Nothing wrong with Engel brand
I think it’s the way to go buck. Now you have me thinking for the caravan setup ha ha
Don't have to explain yourself, everyone does their own research and goes from there, I've got 2 Engel fridges, great product, horses for causes, stay cool (pun intended)😂😂😂
First comment you diddlydonk 😂
Thanks mate. Hey got something coming for Winnie and jasper from Rafa!!!!!
The worst thing I ever did was sell my generator. when ya need it, ya don't have it hahaha
Yeah always the way mate.
Mickyblu is good
Engel make good shit!
It looks the part and we cannot wait to see you unpack it. 😁🐕❤️🇦🇺🦘
