      @@SkillTree I just recently subscribed (probably last week or the week before, and I've been watching a lot of older videos, and realized I've seen a few of the older ones, most notably the one about making sound deadening panels. I think that might have been the first of your videos I've seen. (Still not sure why I watched that one, but for like 2 weeks TH-cam kept suggesting I needed to know how to make them)

    I did see one potential problem. When you show a close-up of the lid after adding the Dimensional Magic topper, you can see that the corner of the decoration is peeling up. I would worry about that snagging and ripping the whole top off. Unfortunately, the only way I know to seal the lid and keep the edges clear and smooth requires more tools than most people would want to deal with.

    • @SkillTree
      @SkillTree  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeahn I think that was more a miss on my part. I failed to glue it down properly. I just added a bit of super glue underneath. Seems to be working OK🤞

    I lost it at Maddie's crow popping up at 3:14!! This is such a smart build, the foam clay is genius. Hope I'll get to try this build out some day

  • @krisspeth4946
    @krisspeth4946 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How did you keep the foam from shrinking away from the edges, or was that even a problem that you had when it fully dried?

    • @SkillTree
      @SkillTree  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It didn't appear to be an issue for me. Everything stayed pretty much where I put it.

    I'm an Altoids fiend, so this definitely looks like a cool project I can use one of the multitudes of tins I'm collecting for. (Though I dare say that the Peppermint flavor is the superior one...)

    *GASP!!!* I have those exact Metal dice, I got the Purple and silver because it reminds me of my first character… Miz’ri The Drow Necromancer, Mwahahaha!!!

    • @SkillTree
      @SkillTree  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aren't they great!?! Love these dice. And do tell more about your DROW NECROMANCER! Already sounds super dope.

    • @shaevillas5958
      @shaevillas5958 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SkillTree he was the first character I’ve ever had, he was a level 14 wizard studying the school of Necromancy, he lasted for 4 years till the Campaign ended for some odd reason.. oh and he has the Hermit background.
      He has a Metallic arm due to a Nat 1 incident with a green slime and a 28 in the intelligence stat due to a lot of Lucky rolls when he was studying everything he wanted… he even studied under the First necromancer when the party went through a dimensional rift by accident he learned two special spells that didn’t use Spell slots, these spells had the ability to manipulate Bone and Flesh… however before he left her she gave him a Black staff with a dragon it the top before giving the party a small Florescent Ruby, she told him that he needed it but didn’t know why.
      The party then made its way through the dimensions and back to their world finding more jobs and that’s where he learned that the Black staff had its own Necromatic secrets… however one day the party found a portal that lead them years into the future where Orcs, drow, Changelings, goblins ganged up together to make a Germany like country while the Humans, elves, dwarfs and other races fight them in a 5 year long war [another thing is that There is hardly any magic left in the world]… at first the resistance was sceptical about Miz’ri because he was a Drow but then he proved himself useful as he became a spy for them.
      Once he got there not only was he caught but thanks to the stroke of luck when Miz’ri told the general that he was a necromancer they made him into a general [and thanks to a lucky roll he managed to keep the secret about him being a spy]… once he managed to take down one of the superpowers of the country to give the rebels a fighting chance Miz’ri got his party to fake his death so they could escape through the underground tunnels, in there they found another Dimensional rift.
      In this rift the entire party found Bahamut [the dragon god of life] there he told the party that he was watching us for a long time and decided to ask them if they could take his 6 year old daughter Tiamat everyone in the party decided to become a guardian and as a gift Bahamut gave them each a special gift and weapon.. Miz’ri on the other hand only Seeked knowledge and told the God that he would be Tiamat’s teacher… because of this decision Bahamut gave Miz’ri more knowledge and a staff that looked exactly like his Black Dragon staff but this one was made of pure Ivory, then and there he learned that this Staff had the ability to fully resurrect the dead back to life and it reacted weirdly when it accidentally touched the Black one, once they made it out of the rift they were back at the portal and saw a little six year old human girl with blind hair and a white dress.. confused as ever the party was trying to figure out who the little girl was until Miz’ri remembered [Nat 20 history] that he read that some dragons were so powerful they could change into a human form.
      The party then decided to take Tiamat with them as they used the portal to go back in time.. however something goes wrong and they get teleported so far into the past that they arrived at the time where Dragons once ruled the earth and all races were in their Primal forms/shapes [Elves where fairy like creatures, Drow were more Tarantula-like, Orcs looked more buff with large tusk-like horns and so much more] another thing about this world is that Magic was more powerful then ever…. When a few days go by the party finds themselves in the presence of another dimensional rift however this one was constantly open and the only things that came in and out where Mindflayers, going inside they found their home-world and found out that They possessed technology far superior then anything in the future [also found out that they used to be vegetarians and they hate all forms of magic]… once they made their way through their city a Stray mindflayer comes to Miz’ri and try’s to sell him a Staff that used Nanotechnology, the only thing he wanted for trade was Both dragon staffs in return, when Miz’ri refused the trade the Mindflayer knocked him prone and stole both staffs before running out of the rift.. Miz’ri not only managed to find the thief but chased him straight to one of the Pyramids the Kobolds where building for one of the “Dragon Gods” the Mindflayer then made it to the top and tries to use his technology to fuse the two staffs together, this Caused both Of them to act violently.. the mindflayer disintegrated into ash and with a Huge pulse the entire world’s population turned into skeletons yet there was no pain and nobody died as the next pulse changed everything back, but then it began to pulse more over and over with each minute.. as they continued Miz’ri knew that this was a very bad thing and sacrificed himself telling the party to take care of his student as he climbed to the top of the pyramid, Grabbed both staffs and tried to pull them apart.. the pulses began to become more frequent with each second as people started to turn to ash, then with the final Pulse when Miz’ri finally managed to pull them apart both him and the staffs disappeared.
      Once he woke up Miz’ri was in a place that felt both Dark and light at the same time as he then saw both Bahamut and the First necromancer who also happened to be the dragon Goddess of Death.. realizing the power of both Staffs Miz’ri told both of them to take them back so that way they couldn’t be used in the wrong hands.. in this act of Humility/bravery both the Gods laughed in relief telling Miz’ri that they were testing him to see if he was truly worthy to wield their power they Combined both staffs and created a Dragon sceptre saying that the only thing left to complete it was to use the Ruby that Miz’ri carried, he put it between the two Dragons on the sceptre and the Gods wished him good luck with teaching their daughter how to be a good dragon [however the Dragon sceptre had three conditions.. 1- the Septer can only be Used by Miz’ri even if he gave it to someone else, 2- the Sceptre will come back to Miz’ri if he lost it but if it’s ever stolen he would have to find it and 3- if a man who only thinks about himself touches the Sceptre then it would be split into three pieces all over the world.. and Miz’ri would have to find all three to put it back together]
      Once this was over Miz’ri returned back with his new Sceptre and everything was back to normal… except when they tried to return to the time portal, turns out those Pulses Shattered one of the Time Crystals and they would have to find a replacement, recognizing one of the crystals Miz’ri knew where they could find a replacement, however the only way to get to it is if they Died [the place they had to go was the Realm of the dead].. lol luckily they found yet one more dimensional rift that allowed them to walk right inside.
      And that’s where the campaign ended, hope you enjoyed 😁

    neat little project, I think If I were to do it, I'd probably just cut some holes in some eva foam rather than using the sculpting foam, also when you shook it i could still hear a bit of rattling so I think I'd put a layer of thin craft foam on the top before adhearing the inside image. Pretty neat project though
