My advice about meeting up with someone from a dating app is: 1. Meet up when you feel comfortable over messaging 2. Tell family/friends where you are meeting the individual 3. Meet in a busy public space 4. Read information about meeting up online they were very helpful
Since you asked the question very clearly, at the end, about what do we think of your original intention, I will say that for me it showed integrity and insight that you decided to abandon your original intention (the original intention being to go on a date in order to make youtube content, but not because you were wanting to date someone). The reason I say this Holly, is that being treated, unknowingly, by anyone as an "experiment" is really an awful thing to happen. I have had experience of this in the LGBT world, where people want to experiment with their orientation, but do not make this clear at the start. Of course had you been honest from the beginning - it would be entirely different because then your potential 'date' could decide whether they are happy to be an experiment or not. But I do feel strongly that a combination of honesty and integrity is the way to travel. So for this reason I don't think we should ever treat anyone, in any context, and especially not in a romantic context, as an experiment. Unless they are fully aware and happy to be an experiment rather than to be the subject of an honest interaction!
@@tastypinata yes absolutely and I heard that. But right at the end of the video Holly specifically asked us to tell her in the comments what we thought of her original intention. That's what I was replying to, 'original' being the key word. Holly knows I think highly of her and I would only comment on something like this if asked, otherwise I know that she is fully emotionally intelligent enough, herself, to work this out pretty fast!
i met my husband on tinder and we’re together since 2015. we married in january and moved from brazil to portugal, adopted two dogs and yep, it worked hahah
With the first time round, I remember your dad being the ultimate dad and just all round disapproving, which was quite funny because he made the best faces 😂
I met my current boyfriend on tinder well over a year ago now and I couldn’t be happier. I was someone who found it very hard to meet someone ‘naturally’ I felt like I never had the opportunity to meet people in day to day life, so dating apps really worked for me 😊
My friend made me use tinder because I lost a bet. I only had it for about 3 weeks. I got about 2 matches that weren't bad. Other than that I saw sooo many creeps. And also people who were good in the beginning also turned in to creeps later. I only talked with a one person without getting ghosted or without getting creepy invitations. I had trauma within those 3 weeks. Not gonna do that again.
I tried Tinder once. Threw my phone to the wall when first match happened and he send me a message. Talkes for a while, but then my anxiety got so high that I had to delete the app. I did say sorry to the guy before I vanished 😅
I’ve only been on Bumble and Hinge but found the latter really good! I love that it encourages open conversations and genuine relationships - met my first and current boyfriend on there. Depends on the person though, as well everything
Okay so 😭😂 I alsso did this dating app thing few months ago . But I was solo scared to match that I didn't said yes on anyone and I was just looking around and rejecting everyone 😂
I am at university and everyone always say use dating apps, but then I personally know many nice people don’t use dating apps actually 😂 they meet new people through parties
No date apps for me... I was 18 when i met my first boyfriend, he was 17, ended up going to the same university and we are dating since then... 13 years already! I have nothing against dating apps, plenty of friends use them but i think people over think dating this days... You're not going to find the perfect person. You need to find the one that want to grow and improve by your side. The one that look at live the same way as you do!
I think that was in between trying out dating apps and when this video came out. But the Hinge boy is definitely Angelo. It’s funny that this video coincidentally came out just as I was giving Hinge a proper go for the first time. I love how it feels I’m growing up and maturing along with Holly :)
My boyfriend and I met online, but not on a dating app. I used to read his webcomic and we ended up on the same concert of a band we both liked, went for a drink afterwards (spilled mine on him) and the rest is history. 2 years long distance relationship, 6 years of living together and we are going to marry next year 🥲
Hi Holly! 💖 Yesterday I was thinking if I should or not download a dating app. I’ve never been in a relationship but I feel more ready now…I’ve always wanted it to happen naturally but that’s not happening so I though I should try them . But the concept is really weird for me and it gives me anxiety. I don’t know if I shouuuuld 😅 help

I think you made the right decision to not do the original video idea that you had, it wouldn't be very fait for the person eventho you said it in your bio. Plus, maybe someone would have liked you onthe app by interest and not genuinely for who you are:)
@@HollyGabrielle Oh finally the "elephant in the room" got confirmed. Liked it. Im waiting to see "That" side of Yours Holly, Obviously no hurry. We can wait patiently.
I came across your profile!! Didn’t know if it was really you or not 😂
did you still message or no? missed ur chance to hit her up!!

Prepare yourself or your feelings will be played. It's like a game.

The problem is your anxiety not tinder. Hopefully u sought Therapy in the e last year I suggest?
I’ve tried hinge too and it’s really hit or miss. I’m glad you shared your experience 😊
I’ve actually only ever heard good things about hinge to be honest, hence why it was the one I downloaded earlier this year! 🤷🏻♀️

Great video, Holly. Appreciate how you thought about this.
I'm so happy to see you stay so true for your feelings through the process, that's what I should learn , and the reason I like your channel a lot
Holly, I would never look for dates in Tinder nor online because I find that it is not safe and I do not know what the person is like.
You can't know what anyone you meet irl is like either. And it can also be very unsafe.
Tinder is not more unsafe, it's just different.
Holly, are you still reading? And if so, we need a reading update ☺️
yes please!!
Met my boyfriend in 2021 from Tinder and we have been inseparable ever since, and just moved in together 🙈
