That shiki player was really good at empty pressure. Just standing awkwardly close and not committing to any options can be a very difficult mind game to deal with.
@@donnie9047 I main her and yes the only good things about her are combos, teleport on recoil and Her super special move is really good but everything else is bad and 1 real bad thing is her overhead is throw punishable on hit i tried everything and she always gets thrown while other characters can just neutral jump or backdash.
Imo, Shiki is a "Counter on Whiff/ Rushdown" character due to the fact that she just running up close on when there is a opening and she has no projectile pressure.
Shiki and Kyoshiro possibly need buffs...then again it could be too early to tell as I feel that I'm literally the only person playing Kyoshiro. He seems good for keep away but not many safe options
On ranked I only played against one Shiki player. I won the 2 first times. Then he/she beat me 3 times in a row. So theres no need to underestimate Shiki.

My actual Sam Sho main is Asura but he's not playable (yet) so I'm using Shiki who has a child with him. She's tough to use for sure as she's a good bit different from her other versions but I'm getting better with this version of her day by day. Oh yeah I remember that stream with Valle. I had the room open but it wasnt showing up on his list. Maybe we'll link up some other time. I also saw him battle my SNK homie KofRomance on stream as well. Yeah Valle is legit in most any fighter. He's got great fundamentals and yeah his Galford is great and cracks me up especially when he disarms someone lol I surely want to go to Evo but time and finances at the moment are the issue this year. Howling commando he’s the best defensive character in the game who rewards patience a lot. He has really good normals and simple execution. You normally want to take it really slow and condition your opponent through walling. Also, as you probably know, if you think this playstyle is lame or whatever you can even try to use his parries a lot which are suuuper read heavy but give a huge reward. Imo his kit is so solid that you can even play him like any other pseudo-agressive samsho character, kinda like how jmcrofts does. What are the other characters you’re considering, and what characters do you tend to use in other fighting games?

The Shiki player seems to be the better game, than he goes and gives the fight away by doing dumb moves. Maybe he was doing it intentionally. Maybe he was trying to get out certain attacks that just weren't happening.
I haven't played SS yet. My question is....how are people getting hit so much by these slow strikes? Most of these strikes seem rather easy to avoid....then again, I have no grasp of mechanics and such in this game.

Shiki was fun to play in "Snk vs Capcom: Choas". If what everyone is saying about her in this game is true, that's a shame.

Yashamaru rated high in japan. I don't think he will get buff.
I wouldn't bush Yasha yet, he just feel like he requires a little effort right now.
Yeah as a Yasha main I can vouch that while he's not GOOD, he's salvageable. It's just a climb. Shiki actually NEEDS a buff to be viable.
