Absolutely agree. The ties with the first game are so amazing for people who played it first. The strongest emotional reaction I had in the entire game had to have been when trying to enter the white tower with 9S and the Twins showed up. As soon as Song of the Ancients started playing, I just lost it.
I remember when I reached this place the first time I just exploded 2B's skirt before so I felt I don't belong to here, then I loaded the save data to make 2B be complete and finished this quest again and just stayed there because of the beautiful music and view. Real beauty is worth it. I'm surprised that Risu know how to sing this song, has she played Replicant or Gestalt?

Route C Spoilers when 9S put 2b's sword down here, I didn't cry, I just had this strange, bittersweet sensation. I just stayed with 9S and 2B's "grave" for 10 minutes listening to the music. This area has such a cathartic feeling that I'll never forget.
@@dafaqu694 The activities can be a chore, but the impact of the story when you did do them makes it all worth it. The quest givers in pascal's village for example. Which reminds me, even the questless NPCs have distinct outcomes to them. The gossiping NPC in the resistance base who kept whispering on her own even after her friend died, the big dude in pascal's village trying to protect others by hugging them, etc.
the true final boss of the game apparently is inside of a side quest. which to complete it, will require the player to upgrade all of the collectible weapons in the game. and to make that easier, completing sidequests will inevitibly give seemingly random items that will help upgrade the player's weapons

Otherwise nothing can explain how she was able to make people, who have never listened to her singing before, cried only just by singing one song. Ofc im not saying that Risu is the best singer in hololive rn, because there is suisei who has been doing this professionally for much longer and has more experience overall. But when it comes to base talent of voice range, clarity, volume she holds the biggest rough diamond amongst all holomem considering that she has always been self taught until now.
50+ hours of playtime, and for me, at least 5 of those I spent here with my headphones on, then another 5 just sitting around in the Resistance Camp. Truly, something I can´t really say other games have done for me.

I couldn't watch it, I really love the original dub, so the eng kinda turned me off Tho it was a very good dub, it's just the original japanese dub is already perfevt for me
Spoiler.. Kaine died of old age and if you finished the emil bos quest, you will got a cutscene where emil and their replica gone for good. Before death emil reminiscing of the past about nier and kaine.
I’m pretty sure the Replicant/Gestalt gang are all dead aside from Emil’s clones. If memory serves, theres a large time gap between Replicant and Automata so they died in battle or old age.
Imo just me I guess, kinda turned off by the english dub I really love the cast of the japanese dub, hanae natsuki (kaneki) as 9S, ishikawa yui (mikasa) as 2B, it's so perfect

There is no side quest in Nier, those are skippable main quests
