These are great tips! I don't shop HL much but I might have to start checking them out. I have shopped the sales at Michaels and picked up some great deals on some items.
@La vida de Cinthia If I go into Hobby Lobby for a basket and it is made in China I don't buy it. This is how you get the stores to change. Once they see that the stuff they buy from China is not selling hopefully they will change.
@La vida de Cinthia some times it is unavoidable. I usually buy from the company directly if I can. Amazon sucks as do many other stores in my opinion. I will always pay more for American made products. I buy my cleaning products from Melaleuca.

Girl! You learned my tricks! I wait until art goes on sale for 75%-90% off. I paint over them with Gesso and then I have a clean canvas to paint on! I also paint on their wood art as well. I never pay full price at HL!

Especially if we've gotten tired of a particular painting we painted a while ago or there's one we didn't care for as much & some of us couldn't get out during quarantine in 20 so we did that to be able to continue painting.
@@ecbrent2 They can get in trouble with corporate for that. Pricing and signing are legal issues. More than likely what happened was she went in on a Saturday and people were doing clearance markdowns which is not putting things on sale. Markdowns/clearance is a permanent price reduction on items a store is no longer carrying, intended to clear it out to make way for new merchandise. People very often confuse the two. But being the office manager at my store, I have to be very familiar with the audit guidelines sent out by corporate and on every audit, they pull security camera footage to make sure you are not pulling or setting signs before closing on Saturday.
As an employee of Hobby Lobby I have to say that the price adjustment is such a pain as a cashier. I do love that your showing people how to read the tags!
Yes, I've worked retail most of my life. It's insanity that they make people bring everything back! If they had proper cash registers, that show the exact item and price people buy things for, it'd be easy to just scan the receipt and give the difference back to the customer. However, that would mean less money in their Christian corporate pockets! It's such a sketchy system!
3 hrs guaranteed when I go. Have to look at everything lol. Love HobLob! We like much of the same things. Love cruising the clearance aisles. Being a quilter, fabric of course, but love glass, wood, anything textury, baskets and wovens, and more! Also check the dollhouse mini area for sweet tiered tray items.

A couple of additional tips- if you have multiple HL in your area check out the slower store when the 90% off clearance hits. Also one section you missed that I recently found is their kids crafts - great for the Sunday school teacher etc. - larger qtys of wood blanks in a package and they go half off too. So need wood crosses - check that section for pkgs of 6-8 for $2-3. Another tech tip if you sign up for their emails when you stop seeing the 75% off clearance mentioned that's when they go 90% and time to hit the store! Happy treasure hunting! Blessings!

I love Hobby Lobby. It is my favorite craft store. I live in a small town and we are getting one in August! Yay! I also appreciate that they are not open on Sundays. My favorite items are the faux florals, as I make wreaths and they are half-price every other week.
I really appreciate the information! I would never have thought about buying for fall or Christmas in the middle of summer 😮 I really really love all of the wooden blanks and the glass bottles. I really want to get some of the wooden rolling pins and some blank beads and even colorful one!! That area of the store is where I get lost and my dad has to direct me away from 😂😂 I have always gotten my floral and ribbons at Dollar Tree but seeing the amazing selection there……wow! I don’t think I have ever made it to that end of the store because I have to basically choose one section of the store. I have crushed discs in my back as well as Levo-Scoliosis which means my back rooms straight but it actually has a c shaped bend to the left. These things have me using a wheelchair outside of the house. But when trying to shop using my wheelchair is quite hard because I can’t really get much. I wish Hobby Lobby would become more accessible because they would make even more if people who are like me would a chance to really enjoy their store. Not having things like a riding cart is a big bummer. It’s a typical problem in most craft stores and makes me very sad! Thank you for the tips on savings!! 🌟❤️🌟
I have looked everywhere for cutting boards and the ones you showed are perfect for what I want. Have not seen them at my Hobby lobby but will look next time I'm in there. I buy the wood pieces, crosses, horses and I never seem to find them on sale. I paint and resin them and sell them so I need a deal. Thank you for sharing! Also I like Michaels and their Artist loft acrylic paints and sometimes find them on sale, so if you do a thing on Michaels I will definitely watch that!!! Have a great day!!!
Used to be, not so sure stores still do it, but if you buy in bulk you can ask to speak to the store manager and see if they can give you a better price on your over all purchase. Some stores give senior discounts or discounts based on if you are affiliated/part of a club like AARP-AAA- AMAC and others. They do not just tell you they give discounts you usually have to ask. Many things have changed and it may be it is no longer practiced on asking for a discount on a bulk purchase, but some of the others listed should still be in effect. Another way is if you have friends or family and you go to a store and all buy, you can ask on the group getting a better price. Some may offer something off. Can't think of the name they call this type of discounting. Do ask before starting your shopping so time is not wasted and hopes of an even better deal is thearted. But you'll never know if you do not ask the question. Hope some part of this is helpful to you. Best of luck!

I’m not a big fan of the weird owner of hobby lobby. So I give him very little money😆. The corners of the store have the sale items. Some items are outdated or broke, but cost pennies.

I HAVE ENOUGH SUPPLIES TO KEEP GOING AT THE MOMENT , BUT AM KEEN TO GET A FEW LITTLE ODD BITS , BUT MAKING WHAT I NEED IS EASIER THAN GOING TO THE SHOPPE'S AT THE MOMENT.
Woodpile and paper crafting sections are my most favorite, but of course the seasonal home decor is a very close second. Last year a got an 80$ dough bowl, solid wood, beautiful, for only 20$!! Pottery is also a favorite of mine. I just wish I didn't have to travel over 60 miles (rural life is the best though) to get to a Hob Lob, but when I go I make sure I check out every aisle because you never know what you might find. xx
I love hobby lobby and I can be there all day looking at the entire store. I did learn something new…I just got randomly and never really know when stuff goes on sale until it’s 90 and almost gone.
I happened to be visiting my grandkids in California when the Spring shop went on 90% Off! I went crazy! I spent $150+ and that was the 90% off sale! I was driving and had to buy bins to pack the stuff in to drive back to NC! I loaded up on the cutting boards and a lot of wooden, metal and glass items that I would have never been able to afford. Fun, fun, fun!! I'm set forever :)

Actually, not everything goes on sale. My son collects diecast cars and those never, ever go on sale! Since they got rid of the 40 percent off coupon, we have had to pay full price for those! They are not cheap, but some of them can only be found at Hobby Lobby.

I'm always curious about Michael's sales. I have one in my area, bit out of the way, but my HL always seems to be low on everything. So I've shopped Michael's a few times. They seem a bit pricier. Any tips on that store?
I live in a small town and we have to drive a couple hrs. to go to Hobby Lobby or any other big stores. So , I have never been to one. They do have nice stuff and hopefully I get a change to shop at one of these stores. When u live in the country u fine yourself not liking the traffic in the big city. By the way U look so pretty... Love Hobby Lobby . I like their variety of items . Always have great sale selections. I try to frequent there as its a Christian Co and closed on Sunday . Yes , I knew abt the jewelry selection . I found a piece I used on a chain I already had and it became my daily necklace . They also hv nice things for kids to do at Xmas ie: ornament kits , stockings .

You do have to be careful, because not everything goes on sale. For instance, they put Paper Studio on sale every other week, but then they've removed the Paper Studio label from some products. I've had occasions where I went in, grabbed two packages of something, and then discovered the second package is no longer branded as whatever's on sale, so it was full price, while the older packaging was on sale.
This video couldn’t be more perfect!! You have such insight into things I wasn’t aware of, like how they markdown seasonal a week before the holiday so you can actually use it for the holiday but not spend full price. You are just a genius in all you do, your tips and tricks for anything under the sun at this point lol, your hacks and alternate uses for things. I could go on for hours but you definitely know what your subscribers want and need to see, even if we don’t know it yet. I like Hobby Lobby, but this video convinced me that I can find what I want at a decent price if I’m just aware of when I need to shop for them. You restored my faith lol!! Hobby Lobby furniture is no longer 30% off. I just bought a table, so I’m first hand certain. They are also not allowed to mark down furniture if it is flawed or damage per the manager of my store. With that said, it is still my favorite store as eventually most items go on sale. Great store for redecorating and crafting!
Oh wow! At my hobby lobby where I work at our furniture went back on sale for 30% off again a month ago. I’m sorry! And we do give a discount for it being damaged.

HL marks down items for Monday on Saturday. So if you go in an hour or so before closing you get Mondays sale price on Saturday! 😉
No we don't. Sale signs are not allowed to be put up until after closing Saturday.

I love hobby lobby and I can be there all day looking at the entire store. I did learn something new…I just got randomly and never really know when stuff goes on sale until it’s 90 and almost gone.
Thier florals are RIDICULOUSLY priced!!! Always! Even on sale they are crazy priced! Lol. Nice florals - but really expensive

I happened to be visiting my grandkids in California when the Spring shop went on 90% Off! I went crazy! I spent $150+ and that was the 90% off sale! I was driving and had to buy bins to pack the stuff in to drive back to NC! I loaded up on the cutting boards and a lot of wooden, metal and glass items that I would have never been able to afford. Fun, fun, fun!! I'm set forever :)

Actually, not everything goes on sale. My son collects diecast cars and those never, ever go on sale! Since they got rid of the 40 percent off coupon, we have had to pay full price for those! They are not cheap, but some of them can only be found at Hobby Lobby.
Oh no! I don't frequent the diecast car aisle, so I stand corrected! I'm bummed they got rid of their coupon too!

I live in a small town and we have to drive a couple hrs. to go to Hobby Lobby or any other big stores. So , I have never been to one. They do have nice stuff and hopefully I get a change to shop at one of these stores. When u live in the country u fine yourself not liking the traffic in the big city. By the way U look so pretty... Love Hobby Lobby . I like their variety of items . Always have great sale selections. I try to frequent there as its a Christian Co and closed on Sunday . Yes , I knew abt the jewelry selection . I found a piece I used on a chain I already had and it became my daily necklace . They also hv nice things for kids to do at Xmas ie: ornament kits , stockings .

I work there and a great deal of items NEVER GO ON SALE. I would say 60% of store items NEVER go on sale.
Our nearest Hobby Lobby is 65 miles away. But loved the video, Day Trip, that sounds good.

You do have to be careful, because not everything goes on sale. For instance, they put Paper Studio on sale every other week, but then they've removed the Paper Studio label from some products. I've had occasions where I went in, grabbed two packages of something, and then discovered the second package is no longer branded as whatever's on sale, so it was full price, while the older packaging was on sale.
This video couldn’t be more perfect!! You have such insight into things I wasn’t aware of, like how they markdown seasonal a week before the holiday so you can actually use it for the holiday but not spend full price. You are just a genius in all you do, your tips and tricks for anything under the sun at this point lol, your hacks and alternate uses for things. I could go on for hours but you definitely know what your subscribers want and need to see, even if we don’t know it yet. I like Hobby Lobby, but this video convinced me that I can find what I want at a decent price if I’m just aware of when I need to shop for them. You restored my faith lol!! Love ALL your videos and can’t wait for the next. So don’t keep us waiting too long lol 😂

HL prices are expensive even on sale. The weekly sale prices are actually retail. Save your money for clearance sales.
I love shopping there. But I need a mart cat and they do not offer those for customers. So I am limited. Many of us cannot shop for that reason.

Hobby Lobby furniture is no longer 30% off. I just bought a table, so I’m first hand certain. They are also not allowed to mark down furniture if it is flawed or damage per the manager of my store. With that said, it is still my favorite store as eventually most items go on sale. Great store for redecorating and crafting!
Oh wow! At my hobby lobby where I work at our furniture went back on sale for 30% off again a month ago. I’m sorry! And we do give a discount for it being damaged.
