The items I tend to keep going back to Dollar tree for are: Greeting Cards; Gift Bags, bows, tissue paper, craft supplies, Party Supplies, foam plates, cleaning supplies, Seasonal home decor (I decorate for EVERY HOLIDAY). Also, boxed milk, quick oats, seasonings etc! I’m a huge dollar tree shopper since 2014. I became single in 2013 and dollar tree helped me economically. It’s one of mine, and my daughters favorite places! Loved this video! Thanks Bethany!
I learned this advice of reading to your kid in a very young age and my daughter loves to read that's why she wants to be an engineer.. or in my case the teacher came up to me and said they want to test my kid and find out she's gifted because I read to my kid in a very young age.. so every person I met that has a child always said read to them even if you're tired read to them..

Hey Cass! If it means anything the Dollar Tree that is closest to me is horrible! lol I have to travel to the good ones. I will say I'm lucky to have at least good ones in within 30 minutes of me! :D
Hey there, I'm an American living in Canada for over 20 years now and I never appreciated my American stores as much as when I started really shopping here looking for things and not finding them. *this is at all types/kinds of stores, not just DT.* I have to say though I do like our Dollarama stores, but DT here is okay too.
I agree with your list whole heartedly! I shop our DT quite regularly for tons of stuff. Interesting story: a friend had a co-worker that was getting married and my friend knew the relationship wouldn't last, and that the girl would leave & let the guy have everything. My friend wanted to buy them something useful, but not something nice that the ex would end up with in the end. I recommended DT kitchen items and she thought that was a great idea. So she bought them just about everything they needed (it was $1 at that time) and she was glad she did, because they split up a year later and yes, the girl let the guy have everything, so my friend was happy that she went that route.
Thank you, little girl! Great video! I am a super supporter of DT and go every week for craft supplies. I hate that NC distribution is about 6 - 8 weeks behind and then it is limited quantities....but that still does not keep me away. The funny part of this video is when your husband was lifting you up to grab items! **** I applaud and appreciate you for NOT belittling Walmart (I LoVE that store and shop at least three times a week) What I find is that Walmart does carry a higher-end quality than DT....and when I hear TH-camrs 'trash' talk Walmart, I lose respect for their words. Your supporter from NC. 🌸🌸🌷🌷🌺🌺🌷🌷🌸🌸
Fellow NC gal here! I didn’t know we were 6-8 weeks behind and I used to work at one! The workers definitely buy things up before they even hit the floor.
I agree with you on all the items on your list. If I had to pick favorites, I can’t choose just one. My favorites include organizing, crafting, cleaning supplies, and of course cards, wrappings, and gift bags. Great video.
Favorite item is the scrub pad with soap handle. The additional pads come in a pack of 2. It's THE perfect shower cleaner! Also plastic cups the ones that come In a 4 pack for $1.25. Nail polish the small ones that come in a 3 pack they go on smooth and have beautiful colors. The purse pack hair ties comes in handy, oh the 10 pack of disposable shower caps that's what we use at parties for covering up bowls, condiments like mayonnaise to keep the flies away. There's lots more but those are my staples.
I absolutely loved every second of this video. Loved how you showed similar products at Walmart and Hobby Lobby and their pricing. One of my favorite things are their kitchen shears and those (I call them to go containers), the foil ones with the lids. Agree with everything you mentioned. Again, great video!
I love the foil containers with a lid too! I buy them for holidays so I don't end up with days worth of leftovers. That way the family/friends don't feel pressured to return them.
I swear by the dollar tree blue and white broom. I have had it 15+ yrs and 3 different houses/moves. Its still in great shape and we use it all the time!!!
My favorite item, cereal containers! They are so much more online and in other stores but they seal well and the quality is surprising. They arent as large as some other containers but you can buy more containers and still save a bunch.
Hello beautiful genius! I do love their cards, gift wrap, party supplies, some craft and organization items, sometimes the quality of their material causes it to break easily, so I rather invest in a heavier/ better quality items. Their dishware and books are awesome for the price!! But you are right, not all DT are created equal, so you have to be really lucky to find everything! In all DT's. Give yourself some credit girl! Cooper is doing good because of you love and motherly care and of course he is the son of a genius!! 😂 😂...
Actually on the foam board, for the same piece u get from dollar tree I have paid over $3 for at Walmart. This was before dollar tree sold them. So the foam board really is a great price for what u get.
Yes so true Amanda! I showed a clip at Wal-Mart of their foamboard. It was $3. I will say it's sturdier but if you can get away with using something less sturdy, I'd go with the Dollar Tree foamboard! It's not like its flimsy just not as strong but does what you need it to for the most part!
I have to say I agree with all your pics! The reality is when you buy items the quality may be less than other stores, but your right, it gets the job done.
My favorite things from Dollar Tree is the hand garden tools, pots, wildflower seeds, metal garden stakes, solar lights, coconut liners, basically I love their Spring garden items.
I absolutely LOVE the Crafters Square section, and it just keeps getting BETTER!!! Another thing that is sooo inexpensive are their helium balloons, particularly the foil ones!! My neighbor is abit of a snob and insists on going to Party City for decor……but silly wabbit, she should be getting about 90% of her stuff at DT!!!! ❤️
I always look at books. I have found some gems. Also, cards and dishes are staples for me I just bought a full table setting for four people with the lemon dishes.
ooops I forgot to answer your question from your video.. I love the crafting section and the mugs and dishes. I like to use the mugs on tier trays. Also the coasters. I grab one when I go and I have a nice collection of them all around my house. As far as the housewares section, I like the glass rounds with the feet on them, I guess you would call them trivets. They are so fun to personalize for gift giving or an inspirational quote!
I love the greeting cards that are 2 for $1, the gift bags, and the party bowls. And I love some of the crafting things so that I can do them with a granddaughter so that it fun, decorative, and teaches her things without breaking the bank.
My favorite item is everything you mentioned in the video. My Dollar Tree in Los Angeles never has a large selection of shirts, but I do buy them when available. Especially like the polo shirts when they have them.
This video has helped me immensely! Our dollar tree is much closer to me than any other place to shop! It is one mile away! I am going shopping and getting things I love at a price I can afford now! Thanks a million to you!
Favorite item: the aluminum cookie sheets that come in a 2 pack. They are a bit thin but they make the best cookies. You can cook a crispy frozen pizza.
@@lateknightcreations I have not done that yet but want to for my back fence. I see the DIYs. In my area this is the first time in 6 months we are getting them back in stock.
I go to Dollar Tree and buy all my cards to keep in my all occasion card file I keep on hand. I also buy some of my crafting, kitchen, tableware and storage items there.
Favorite thing is the school stuff! I did preschool homeschool with my daughter and got so many workbooks and flash cards! And there's plenty in the craft section to make sensory activities and such! To me the extra 25 cents is fine... the quality of many things are worth that.
The one item that I buy over and over again is the clear thicker cutting mats that come 2 in a package. I LOVE makings my own happy planner dividers, dashboards, bookmarks, reusable clear to do lists etc and that’s what I use. It’s absolutely fantastic 🥰🥰 On a side note, i LOVE how big your DT’s are. Here is Ottawa Ontario Canada we don’t have anything like that. I should video tape a walk through for you one day so you can see the difference lol Keep up the heat work, LOVE your channel
In regards to the books, the adult non fiction books that I have purchased from there have always been some of the best books. You really have to dig through them but there are some real gems hidden in the book aisle.
I love all items you mention . It’s to hard to pick favorite. There is so many things I like from dollar tree. But there are those items I would never purchase again to, but lots more that I just love than not.
Good afternoon beautiful Bethany! I love new crafting stuff and any new things that I can create into decors and most of the time DT up here never get any new stuff. Love the cleaning stuff. The containers are great for organizing for sure. The chargers are awesome at the DT. Thank you for sharing your time with these amazing tips. Have a blessed week.
I love the party and serving supplies. I also bought the cake decorating tips and disposable sleeves that are very handy for my kids to use when decorating cookies and cupcakes. Thanks for keeping us informed!
I like the DT brand of breakfast biscuits (Belvita style), especially when they have the bonus packs. Perfect for breakfast on the go or a quick snack at work.
I have so many things I like at Dollar Tree. I get the Kind pints of ice cream. At times they carry family-size name-brand cereal. I bought some dulce de leche cinnamon toast crunch not too long ago and elsewhere it cost 5-7 dollars. Also great for socks at times. I bought 3 pairs pack of gold-toe socks and they normally retailed for 18 (the old price was still on it) I bought for packs of them.
Happy Fourth of July Bethany! I love that your husband picked you up to get items on the top shelf! It's so nice to see your family in your videos and your trips to DT. I was in DT one night and I was trying to reach something on the very top shelf and this man came by and asked, can I get that for you, LOL. Gotta luv our dollar tree community! As far as the sesame street books, I bought them for my boys when they were Coopers age and they loved them. I also read them a bedtime story every night and I will cherish that time with them. Now they are all grown up and they are great readers! Thanks for a wonderful video!
My favorites are the cards, too! Plus, a possibly odd one, but I LOVE the "Hot and Honey" cheese puffs, WHEN they actually have them! 😁 Thank for your always fun and helpful videos! 😍
yes, greeting cards, i get all mine there, gift bags, bows and ribbon, metal trays and wood items for crafting and decoupage, for the garden, plant hooks and zip ties, solar lights, clippers. containers, jars, vases, file folders, composition notebooks, index cards, artificial flowers and greens, all the seasonal things. books, crossword puzzles. tea lights, candle jars. birthday candles, cupcake papers, decorative paper straws. pretzels, candy. the really exciting part is finding name brand items. can’t live without DT!
I’m so glad to know that your favorite items are my favorite items!! I love getting the greeting cards, wrapping and party accessories!! I always get books for a baby shower!! My Dollar Trees don’t carry a nice selection of books for adult reading!! Although one time I got an awesome crafting book. Their crafting supplies section is greatly improved. The seasonal decor is always great!! I loved everything you highlighted in this video!! TYFS I greatly appreciate EVERYTHING you do on your channel!! 😊❤️👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I agree with the entire list and have bought it all! I can't pick one item cause I buy a lot from there, and I shop at least 1 DT/day! Party supplies are the best deal by far, bought game controller decor for my son's 8th birthday Sunday, perfectly matched the cake and he loved it😉Your Fall sign model cracked me up🤣❤🙏🏾
I feel like the foam board is a “depends on what the need is” basis. DT foam board WILL get the job done, but it is thinner and smaller dimensions and the paper that lines it is thinner. I do use it a lot, though!
Dollar Tree is my first go-to place for school supplies for my daughter's classroom (she's a teacher), drawer organizers and SOME of their cleaning products.
#1 item I buy at dollar tree is: the pre-cut aluminum foil sheets. I don't get the Reynolds wrap ones because they are smaller and you get less of them. They have another brand there and the sheets are larger and you get more of them. I use them for wrapping up breakfast burritos or tortilla wraps or sandwiches are basically anything that I might want to take in my lunch. I do my other things from Dollar tree but those are my number one go to item at Dollar tree. Other things I get that I find a great bargain are also as you said Bethany the greeting cards. Two for a dollar is really the way to go. I also get the generic form of Neosporin. And so so much more. I have stopped by and some things there because of the price increase but some of them are still worth buying.
My favorite items that I buy from the DT are greeting cards, gift bags, party supplies, seasonal items, crafting supplies and cleaning supplies. Thanks for the great info.
I have to agree. I pick up a lot of the items you mentioned. I just wish my dt's had a better selection. It just seems like when I get to my dt's they are picked over. Thank you for sharing.
Cards, bags, seasonal items, battery operated candles, plastic food storage containers, organizer containers, wire baskets hold a lot of great things in the garage making it easy to see what’s inside, Carpet Fresh, glassware, my mom loves their Word Search Books, my list can go on and on! I shop Dollar Tree at least once a month!
*Great list, Bethany! I agree with you about everything you mentioned. The other thing I ALWAYS BUY at DT is the 2-Roll Pack of Scotch Brand Clear Tape. I haven't found anywhere else that has this name brand tape for less. I always buy 6 of the 2-Packs whenever I stop in, so I have plenty on hand at all times. I never run out wrapping birthday and Christmas presents, that's for sure! 😉*
My favorites are greeting cards, plastic containers and certain snacks. If I’m there and something is a little bit more money than elsewhere I pick it up anyway because in my world that’s cheaper than going into another store.
Couple of Dollar Trees 🌳 by me even carry organic bread 🍞 with decent expiration dates. I usually grab a few loaves and toss in the freezer. Great deal 😁👍
So yes I do love the books at dollar tree however they're are hundreds of very expensive and old books for 69 cents to a dollar at goodwill. I know goodwill isn't everyone's cup of tea but books are cheap and the selection is incredible. Great video!
sadly my DT has no shirts! I live in a small town...I may have to take a trip an hour away to a larger city now that there are so many more things rolling out at DT. I think there are 5 in Gainesville!! I have seen you on so many colabs on utube lately...so fun to watch!!
Love your videos. I add to the cheap cards. I use things I have in my scrapbook supplies box. I try buy things here and there to use just for those cheap cards.
I feel that I see pool noodles sold at Dollar Tree year round with the seasons verses Walmart doesn't which is another great reason to get them from Dollar Tree🥰
T-shirts?!?! That's so cool! You and your husband are adorable! Love how passionate you are about reading to your son, too. Super excited for your Christmas decoration videos!
I love all the education\teacher section I was able to decorate our study room with lots of great things during the pandemic it was a great way to stay learning. I wish my dollar tree had more crafty things I can never find the things I see on TH-cam or reels . Thanks for sharing a recently new fan of your channel
Hey Bethany! Thanks for the list of what to buy at Dollar Tree. I love to buy crafting items, the plastic items in the party section and glass ware. I noticed that your D. T. have the plastics in different colors, whereas my D. T. only have the clear and they sell out fast. Thanks for sharing, be safe and bee blessed.💕💕
Cards and gift bags are my go to at dollar tree. . . this past mothers day everyone was shopping the higher price bags at walmart I went around to the other side and the 98 cent ones were there. . . most weren't fitting for mothers day but if you know a party is coming up in the next couple months just grab a few.
The items I tend to keep going back to Dollar tree for are: Greeting Cards; Gift Bags, bows, tissue paper, craft supplies, Party Supplies, foam plates, cleaning supplies, Seasonal home decor (I decorate for EVERY HOLIDAY). Reading to our children is so powerful; those books are helpful but it's YOU reading to him and teaching him that makes the impact! Keep it up, momma.

I LOVE this idea! For a friend's 40th I bought and wrapped 40s presents all from DT.

yes, greeting cards, i get all mine there, gift bags, bows and ribbon, metal trays and wood items for crafting and decoupage, for the garden, plant hooks and zip ties, solar lights, clippers. containers, jars, vases, file folders, composition notebooks, index cards, artificial flowers and greens, all the seasonal things. books, crossword puzzles. tea lights, candle jars. birthday candles, cupcake papers, decorative paper straws. pretzels, candy. the really exciting part is finding name brand items. can’t live without DT!
Party supplies are the best deal by far, bought game controller decor for my son's 8th birthday Sunday, perfectly matched the cake and he loved it😉Your Fall sign model cracked me up🤣❤🙏🏾
The cards are #1 and than seasonal items! I’m a DT shopper for almost everything 😊 thank you for sharing and stay 😎
I feel like the foam board is a “depends on what the need is” basis. DT foam board WILL get the job done, but it is thinner and smaller dimensions and the paper that lines it is thinner.
I do use it a lot, though!
I agree with your list. This is My list, Parchment paper, sandwich bags, candy and reader glasses.
Lot's of lovely items and ideas. Thanks for sharing 🥰 👍
My absolute favorite is the 25 count of Reynolds wrap aluminum foil. I'm a lefty and have trouble cutting it from a roll. So pre-cut is my savior.
Hello Cynthia, how are you doing?
Thank you!! Very useful video!! Some of my favorites items are the multiple sizes of ziplock bags!! and take out foam plates!!
I love the books and cards storage tubs
Dollar Tree is my first go-to place for school supplies for my daughter's classroom (she's a teacher), drawer organizers and SOME of their cleaning products.
Hello Shelley, how are doing?
I completely agree with you 💯
Greeting cards
Cleaning supplies
Snacks
Pepsi
Organizers
Paper plates

So cute your husband lifting you up to reach the good deals 🤣🥰
BETHANY..... I just read an online article about you. "The Sun" says your a DT super fan & it showed your ideas for ways to use cooling racks
My favorite items that I buy from the DT are greeting cards, gift bags, party supplies, seasonal items, crafting supplies and cleaning supplies. Thanks for the great info.
I 100% agree with you on your choices! I love the stemless wine glasses too! Great quality and they are made well.
I have to agree. I pick up a lot of the items you mentioned. I just wish my dt's had a better selection. It just seems like when I get to my dt's they are picked over. Thank you for sharing.
Talk to the manager. They can tell you what day of the week they receive deliveries for what you want. Hope that helps!
YESSSS ON THE FOAM BOARD! DG IS $5.00!! ALSO THE WREATH FORMS GIRL! Cant find um any cheaper! Also the dishes are GORGEOUS for the price!!
Hello Karen, how are you doing?
Gift cards are expensive! We can all glam them things up! Love the dollar store and you to Bethany, keep up the great ideas.
Love dollar tree for party planning for every occasion. I sometimes double the gift bags one inside another to make them sturdier.
I love all the education\teacher section I was able to decorate our study room with lots of great things during the pandemic it was a great way to stay learning. I wish my dollar tree had more crafty things I can never find the things I see on TH-cam or reels . Thanks for sharing a recently new fan of your channel
Hi Bethany I love the wrapping paper along with the cards cause wen u go to other places for wrapping paper and cards are so expensive
Girl! Your DT rocks! Mine never gave the colored party ware!
Cards and gift bags are my go to at dollar tree. . . this past mothers day everyone was shopping the higher price bags at walmart I went around to the other side and the 98 cent ones were there. . . most weren't fitting for mothers day but if you know a party is coming up in the next couple months just grab a few.
I always get my cards and wrapping stuff At dollar tree. This is a great list and I so agree!
One of my favorite items at Dollar Tree is the pink makeup remover cloths. You use it dry. It takes off mascara better than wet makeup wipes.
I love to buy the Dollar Tree Stickers♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
A way to secure the gift bags is to tie a knot on each end, and the handles will stay put🤗
My face at DT is the Campbell’s Classic Han and bean soup!!!
YUMMMM!!!!
Hello Deborah, how are you doing?
