I’ve seen in some of your videos you go through a boss katana. I use one as well and have a GFI but your tone is nice and snappy. Would you care to share your settings on the katana or anything else in your signal chain? Thanks for the lesson, sounds great!
Nothing else in the chain. I played a friend's GFI thru this Katana and it did not sound as good as my GFI. Not sure why. Left to right: Amp Type: Clean, Gain: very low, Volume: way high, Bass: 4 o'clock, Middle: 1 o'clock, Treble: 12 O'clock, Booster/Mod: None, Delay & Reverb: about 1/4 of each. I have the GFI II pickup, which might effect tone somewhat. I also strike the strings very hard on this GFI as it sounds better that way. Other guitars might like a softer touch.
Always a good time for an Alan Jackson song. Great steel guitar parts. Thank you Gilroy for sharing your work.
