I had 5 csection. My Best recovery was after the last one (First at Age of 24, last 36 y.o). The more God in your life the more miricle you experience ☺️ The fourth one was the most dangerous, but trust God and everything will be OK.

I am so so glad you share your experiences!!! I had a paper thin uterus after my third csection. Doctor told me I would die and baby would die if I had another. She said she could see my son’s hair through my super thin uterus. She terrified us!!! She was so alarming!!!
7 years later we had an easy 4th csection!!! Easiest recovery by far!!! And my uterus was NOT thin!!! Hallelujah!!! Maybe God will allow one more for us!

Amen and Glory to God,I too just had my 4th and final csection on July 23,2020,I did deliver it was a lengthy surgery but scheduled C-section,I had lots of scar tissue they cut through my right fallopian tube and they had to remove it,II did have to have a blood transfusion after delivery sat in recovery 4hrs smh....Recovery is not too bad but I did have a vertical cut this go around to avoid scar tissue from previous 3 csections.

I'm 29 and about to have my 4th C-section and really nervous, but I trust what God has in for me. We weren't planning on having anymore biological children after my 3rd C-section, but again, I trust God's plans for our family. Thank you for making this video, it brings me comfort and it makes me feel not so alone in this situation.

Having my 4th c section next year. I’m so nervous but excited. Emergency c section with my first, tried a vbac with my 2nd, and my uterus ruptured, my doctors repaired my uterus perfectly praise the Lord! 3rd was a planned c section because my dr wouldn’t let me try again after that incident. I had a HORRIBLE recovery with my 3rd. I’m praying my 4th will be a better recovery. Thank you for this!

I have a Catholic NaPro doctor who is amazing and well known as a vbac pro. I could never have a vbac because of other medical circumstances, but he was supportive either way. After my third c-section he said I could go on to have 10 more c-sections. 😳 He’s has several Amish patients who have had that many safely. He is a big proponent of natural births when able, but I was able to have a clear drape and immediate skin to skin with my last two. My first C-section was a rough recovery, but my last two were super easy. In fact, a few hours after my third baby was born, I stood on a couch when no one was around to take pictures of her from above and felt fine... but I don’t recommend that! 😂 many doctors will limit C-sections to three because they are not skilled enough or do not value the birth process, they see it only has a surgery.

Two C Sections! The first one was brutal, recovery and the whole mental battle of feeling like a “failure”.. second one was scheduled and went amazing! Night and day difference for all of it! My first doctor was wrenched though, so that set the tone for the whole delivery & recovery. (I was a transfer from a midwifery, so I got whoever was on call.) SO THANKFUL for a redeeming second C section and recovery!

Been watching you for awhile. I have had 5 csections. I had 3 csections, and then we had 2 miscarriages in a row, and then baby 4 we had at 37, and baby 5 at 39. After baby 5 my doctor said the uterus was good with minimal scar tissue, so if we wanted more it should be fine. Not sure what God’s plan is for us, but His will be done:) God bless!

I’ve had 3 c-sections and I’m one of the moms who has asked you about your sections! I appreciate this video, as we are going to try for our 4th child (4th c section). Doctor did say I have a thin uterine wall and not to have any more but another doctor said if I give myself 2 years to heal it should be ok. So here I am at the 2 year mark ready to take this scary plunge again. I so treasure your videos on this subject because it’s important not to fear what god has in store for us..even if that means we have to get there by surgery. There are risks in all aspects of life..even driving a car every day, yet we do that without a second thought. We must trust our doctors but at the same time trust god beyond the scale of science and what is considered a textbook no. I’ve read stories of women being told to never have more kids because of a thin uterus and then they had several more and no comments on the thinness ever again. So you know, who really knows. Maybe during a vaginal birth the uterus is JUST AS thin, but there’s no way of knowing. So thank you for your insight. Of course as always to anyone reading this, talk to many doctors because your situation could be more specific and high risk.

I had a doctor tell me when I was pregnant with my 2nd child that I was basically going to die on the table because I am a bigger woman and she would have difficulty closing me. I cryed and went home devastated and thinking I was going to die, after doing hours of research and talking h to other moms I went back the next day ( i held my tongue very well) but I told that doctor that she had no right to scare me the way she did and she shod change her profession because if she cant close me up with out difficultly, then she shouldn't be doi.g this job, I told her I was going to report her and give her the worst rating on every app ( and I did.) Come to find out she had the worst ratings already. After dropping her, I got the BEST doctor EVER.

I will be having my 4th c-section in a few weeks. My doctor and I have a good relationship and he is a very good surgeon, I have had 2 of my 3 with him. He and I have had very frank conversations before going into the section about him checking to see how things would look for a future pregnancy. We evaluate after each baby, and have spaced the kids 2 years apart to give plenty of recovery time. I am 38 also. My recoveries have been really good, just take my time, and ask for lots of help in those first couple of weeks.

I love this. I have not had a c-section BUT I do have high risk pregnancies and so it’s always a possibility. So glad to hear that recovery can be ok even with littles running around at home, it’s a big fear of mine for future pregnancies.

I only have 1 son and 1 c-section and the pain was horrible. Unfortunately the nurses kept forgetting to give me pain medications so I would sweat 7 shirts just to get up to go to the bathroom, I would be bent over in pain and would have to use the walls to keep me up, etc. My son was in the NICU which was very far from my room. I would bite my tongue and take the pain because seeing my son was more important. About 10 days later my friend told me the nurses were supposed to give me pain meds every 3 hours and to go ask them after 2 hours because it will take them awhile. After that the pain was a lot better to manage but over-all the experience was not the best. It probably took me over a year to fully recover.

Thank you for this video! I have two kids. My second was born through an elective C Section. I never went through labor so my recovery was a lot easier. I actually left the hospital earlier than I did with my first born, who was born 'naturally,' and I never experienced any major pain. I, honestly, loved it and hope any future ones will be a similar experience.

I just stumbled across your comment and was wondering if you have ever had your progesterone or Oestradiol levels checked? I had a miscarriage due to very low progesterone and am currently pregnant again so I'm on progesterone. It's not something they check in Scotland where I live but through Gods grace I found a good private Catholic doctor who monitors my levels all throughout pregnancy. Just wanted to say as that must have been devastating having 6 miscarriages and I really don't think enough is done in Scotland to prevent miscarriage. I'm not sure what it's like in Ireland.

2 c-sections and third will be in April 🙏🏻. First one got infected and the recovery was horrible; at first I didn’t know it was infected so I was feeling that I was overreacting about the pain I wanted to be like the other women walking and feeling “good” days after the surgery but well my second csection the recovery was great! I hope for this one to be as good as the last one 🙏🏻☺️

I've had 2 so far, of course I wish I didn't have any! But it is so reassuring to know others have gone through more! And as for the recovery, I think the after contractions were worse than the actual c-section incision, but you have those no matter which way you have babies! :) No V-BAC option around here either :(

4 c-sections for me. Recovery got better after each one. I did have 3 different doctors tho. My last 2 c-sections were with same doctor. I was worried because we had a 2 story house. He encouraged me to use the stairs right away. He said it would only be helpful. He was right. I had a quick recovery with the last 2.

  • @sarahsunshine78

The worst part of my C-section recovery was having to produce a bowel movement before they let me go home. All the pain meds made me constipated so having to bear down with a fresh incision on my stomach was excruciating. I had pre-eclampsia so my daughter was 38 weeks when I was induced. However my body “overrode” the epidural AND the spinal block for the C-section and so I could feel it when they started and they had to put me under general anesthesia and my husband couldn’t be in there. It was a horrible and traumatic experience. But I can’t imagine life without our daughter so it was all worth it!

I'm from the UK and we don't have nearly as many C sections I think, looking at statistics between our two countries. Doctors here are very reluctant to do C sections mainly because babies receive protective bacteria from the birth canal which helps build their immune systems. Plus there are other huge health benefits from a vaginal birth but of course, if it is an emergency - so be it. It could also be a health insurance thing - since our health system is free to all UK citizens whereas you guys have to have medical insurance and I wonder if that makes doctors in the US a little nervous of being sued?

So my doctor said that I did have a bit of scar tissue when I had my third c section, but at the time I planned for a tubal litigation, however; it was a catholic hospital and would not allow me to do so. Now 2 years later we are discussing having our last baby and I’m not sure if scar tissue is a bad thing. He said he cut me slightly below my last incision to prevent build up of scaring on this one.

My first birth was a c-section and I now realize totally unnecessary. My then-doctor told me my baby was too large and would probably get stuck in the birth canal. I had a c-section the next day and my daughter weighed 9.9lbs. After that I did a ton of research and decided to have an HBAC with my second daughter and she also weighed 9.9lbs! Pretty ironic they weighed the exact same and I had a completely smooth delivery at home! I went on to have two more home births and my last son weighed 12 lbs. even! My heart says I would love another baby, but after a 12 pounder, my vagina says heck no!

I had 3 c-sections. My first was at age 22 and it had to be done quickly so I was cut from the navel down. Rough recovery because I had gone through a lot of hours of labor first. The next was when I was 27 and they didn't want me to go into labor first so they just scheduled the surgery. Same with the last one when I was 38. The last two were pretty easy to recover from. The only downside was that I had to have general anesthesia with all 3 so I wasn't awake right away and my husband couldn't be in the operating room with me. Other than that, all's well that ends well. I'm 50 now so no more babies.

Thank you Heather! I haven't had any c-sections, but with this twin pregnancy, my chances are high. I think I read somewhere that about 2/3rds of twin deliveries are via C-section. My doctor says that if either baby is breech, then he will do a C-section... So it's a big unknown right now and I am honestly nervous about the surgery and recovery. So your video was very timely and encouraging! ❤️
