Tromboseph Do you have a strong enough French Horn section? That's usually a deal killer if your Horn section isn't strong enough to hit high notes with precision.

The sound of this is better than the original and they did it all part by part in a tiny studio. Respect for the mixing, recording and playing required to get this to sound so cohesive.
Agree 100% BUT the Original was also recorded like they would in the 19xx (I don't know the exact date) on tape. That doesn't necessarily has to be a bad sign but based on that the second movies soundtrack is way better in terms of quality (and especially punch), I think it does matter. Even so, this is still madly impressive and I listen to it often

@@slock4him115 they’re really easy to fall apart, flugelhorns they are way bigger than cornets, they get smaller, while flugelhorns get bigger and have the wider tubes for that crispy noise like if a low brass horn

It was double c. That would have been insane if it was a triple c, which i doubt either of them could hit. C above staff = high C, octave above that = Double C, Octave above = Triple C, and so forth.
Fun fact, I met Wayne Bergeron's wife when I went to my high school jazz comp back in 2019, and I met her again at another jazz comp my senior year at Wayne's show.

Well, assuming you wanna go pro, and you already have a harmon: go to ALL the gigs, and make sure you'll need to use the harmon. By needing to use it, you're a pro when the dents are in
It would be interesting to know how many separate sessions were pieced together (amazingly smoothly) to get the final recording. Were the trumpets added later? Was the tenor added last? Did Wayne email his recording to you from his home? Did the drummer feel lonely in his isolation chamber? Isn't technology amazing? (So were the performances, BTW!)
