Backpacking in the Maldives on a budget, yes that’s right, all thanks to the beautiful local islands this amazing country has to offer! We were so surprised and felt so grateful, enjoying this most dreamed about location! You don’t need to spend all that money on the luxury resorts when you can have such a similar and just as incredible time here! What local islands would you pick? Or would you pick an all inclusive resort island instead? We’d love to know!😁 Check out the rest of our Maldives series here: th-cam.com/play/PLEqYdCbbLZjHvcftR6QlvjYtn38FN13nh.html
Yes you can. They leave every day at 2.30pm from the Henveiru Ferry Terminal in Male. It takes 2 hours 30 minutes and costs 22 Ruffiya each. You can buy a ticket at the terminal on the day of travel. 😊
Breakfast was included in the price here with the room, it was served in the dining area just outside our room in their own restaurant where they also serve lunch and dinner too, all amazing every meal we had and a big selection too! Thank you for watching 😁
Thank you for the video. Could you please disclose the name of tge guesthouse? We are going there in April and trying to find a good place to stay. Thank you!
Meeru is a private island. I was there 2023 and 2024. I'm not sure that they have day trips as its an island for hotel guests staying in the resort. You would be best to contact the island reception and ask. I know that they have started to do a day trip to Dhiffushi. But nothing was mentioned about it including feeding the manta rays. Alcohol is served on Meeru as it is a resort island.
You should talk about the plastic problem on the island, because I chose to visit the island thanks to you and we were devastated seeing the amount of garbage that you can see in the ocean and land. TOO SAD to experience that reality.
What a shame that has happened to such a beautiful island! We didn’t see any plastic pollution otherwise I don’t think it would be at the top of our list!

Yes you can. They leave every day at 2.30pm from the Henveiru Ferry Terminal in Male. It takes 2 hours 30 minutes and costs 22 Ruffiya each. You can buy a ticket at the terminal on the day of travel. 😊

Is there a possibility for a daily trip from Dhiffushi to Meruu?
I’m not sure where Meruu is. If it’s on the same boat route I would think yes 😊
