Hi Just recently found your videos. I am not a "car guy" Just picked up a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited 2.4 Liter. I was curious about some temps. It was 35 degrees in PA today. My Transmission Temp 159 Coolant temp between 185 and 220. This was driving for about 25 / 35 minutes on US route 30 with a few red lights. Is this normal? Thank you
Hey I got a 2002 toyota camry 2.0l 1az over 200k it burning gas like crazy I change d mass air flow sensor, spark plugs, injectors, cleaned the throttle body but nothing has worked. What do u think is the issue?
My father purchased 1982 Corolla new and still has it running. It has crossed over 1 million miles with few odometer change since they stopped working 😎.
Easy to maintain and any mechanic can work on it. No need for fancy scanners or sensors. I used it for my college and so did my brothers when we learned to drive.

My 2012 Camry is near 300K miles and still runs like a clock. Never had any issue besides normal maintenance: oil and filter changes every 5K miles with genuine Toyota parts; genuine Toyota air and cabin filters every year; genuine Toyota WS ATF/pink coolant every 50K miles and Akebono brake pads every 60K miles. I have to say that the Akebono pads will outlast any pads with minimum wear on rotors and less dust.
My 2011 nissan sentra made 80000 miles on the factory pads. I have a clutch, and I dont drive aggressive.

We have had Nissan, Infiniti,Honda, Hyundai, and Toyota. Hyundai had to have a motor at 45000. All the other vehicles went over 150,000 without any issues. Maintenance and especially oil (5 to 7k) and trans fluid every 5 years.
436k currently on my 2001 Tacoma and 240k on my 2008 CRV. Can’t beat Toyota or Honda.
Just totaled my 1999 toyota camry yesterday when some guy pulled out in front of me ... I grew up in that car an bought the car from my mother she always started for me never left me stranded once always did what I wanted it to do
I have a 1996 Camry with only 58k miles. I've had it for less than a year and was originally my great-grandma's car
She only put 1800 miles a year and the original owner traded it into the dealer at 20k miles. So she was convinced to trade her Corolla for it.
if you wanna sell it…
My 2011 Corolla has 300,000 kms and other than regular oil changes and brake pads , no other repairs and it still runs like a charm 😊
Parts that wear will eventually wear out. Sometimes the owner is responsible for long serving cars, because proper maintenance and fixing worn out parts is essential.
My '98 corolla has 200.000 kms, the only thing that I changed besides oil , filter, spark plug brake pads, is the slave clutch cylinder due to rust. Also removed some rust and undercoat the rear section because I live in a country that uses salt on snowy roads. Compared to some other cars that I've used over the years, it's the only car I KNOW is going to start every morning when I go to work.

I'm losing on gas mileage given I only get 16 mpg on this car and another GMC Envoy. I have painted it and touch up the paint occasionally given the hot sun in Arizona.
I have a 2016 Camry that I bought with 40k. It now has 150k and all I've done is 5k oil changes, 60k transmission and coolant change, and a replacement battery that's it. Best car I have ever owned, I never thought I would own a car that would be this reliable

Over 150k miles on our camry now. Nothing but fluid changes so far and we hope to get another 150k out of it. Camry is one of the best cars you can buy for trouble free service. I had the same car. 2012. Nothing but problems. 87 thousand miles on it. My transmission caught on fire. Never again !!! .
I love Scotty's videos, I've learned a lot! Keep up the good work Scotty!
I always think that people tend to forget, about repairs they had to make, to these ultra reliable cars. I had a new 4cyl automatic 2004 Accord. Which was supposedly one of those never needs repairs cars. Don't believe it! I took care of the car. But things just broke. I was happy to finally trade it in.
Thanks for the great video Scotty. You are the uncle we all needed.
I drive a '93 Corolla E100 base model with the 1.3L 12 valve carbureted 4 cylinder. Has over 200,000kms on it which is huge in my home country. It got flooded by a typhoon back in 2009, but it still runs and gets me from point A to point B with zero problems.

I have a 2001 Toy Camry with 248,000 miles, had to have the transmission repaired. (It was worth it because the engine is original). It runs smooth and oil changes and tune ups are easy. Oh, the transmission went bad around 200,000 miles. My Toy was made in Kentucky.
Good to see scotty working on a car that actually works for its living , it’s not a show car sitting in the driveway hardly driven anywhere, Toyota is still the one to get if you want a car that lasts
He just checked it out, didn't really do any "work" on it.
2015 Camry XSE 2ARFE here. Approaching 100k miles and drives exactly how I first got it new. Fantastic cars!
I once had a 2004 Echo. I was a courier and put an average of 400km everyday. I ran full synthetic oil and did an oil change every month. I sold the car after many years of reliable service . It had 280000 km on it when I sold it. It never let me down. Other than normal maintenance items . It is still running today. Toyota are built tough. The vast majority were highway driven, maybe 80% .

Toured the Camry factory in Georgetown, KY several years ago. You could eat off the floor in that place.
I'm one of those people who doesn't need or want a bulky, huge, easy to flip SUV. Now, I'm a fan of small hatchback cars, but I do loooooove the new Camrys. I thought I wanted AWD next time since I live in mountainous northern New Mexico, but I only REALLY need AWD about 5% of the time and I think having to maintain one more thing on a vehicle isn't appealing. I had a rental AWD Nissan Rogue recently and hated that the AWD would kick in when it didn't need to and would scare me or make the Rogue actually slip. It was weird and annoying. My neighbor has a hybrid Camry that he loves.
I had a 1996 XV20 widebody. Finally sold it with almost 300K miles. I can't believe how many I still see on the road. When I see someone with one I'll ask the mileage and routinely get answers over 250K.
Got daughters 2015 camry xle. Great car, at 121k miles and it's cvt has held up great with 2 young girls driving it.
I have a 2009 Camry LX with 137,000 miles. I just got my alternator replaced. It also burns oil but just keep checking my oil level like you said in a previous video.
I drive a 2017 Toyota Camry as well but it a SE trim and drive it all over really been a great car!
Had to get rid of my 02 Camry LE only 120k strong running until the knock sensors go bad buying four different sets and other mechanics looking at it could not get it to get out of slump mode. Also did the transmission solenoids. Has changed my thoughts about Toyota.

You need better mechanics.
yep got me a 2007 Camry with the 2.4 w/ 94.000 lucky it’s not burning any oil and yes when it’s time I’m definitely buying me another one but not the hybrid model.
I’m so happy that I had found your channel, because I can know what car to buy for myself

I bought a 2014 Camry with 66,000 miles on it. I put 200,000 on it in 4 years. Drove uber, lyft and delivered pizza on it. I also lived in it too. I only had to change the alternator and bearing on the front passenger side. Changed the oil regularly and had a lot of tires changed. Best car Ive ever owned.
I have a 2015 F150 3.5 V6 ecoboost that just made 200k miles with nothing but 5k mile oil changes and air filter changes, brake pads, and two new sets of Michelins. Only the consumable stuff. It’s been good to me so far. It’s also paid off! So that’s the best part.

G'day Scotty. Dave from Australia here. I have 2002 Toyota camry 6 cylinder that I recently had the break pads changed. Shortly after that the ABS light went on. I took it back to the mechanic but he wasn't very helpful.
In winter when I first start the car the ABS light goes out, but after driving it a while and it warms up the light comes back on again. Can you tell me all the possibilities of what it could be.
It's OK, no ABS light on when it's cold. Light comes on when it reaches operating temperature.
The picture is crisper. Did Scotty get a new camera?
My wife had a 2011 Toyota Camry and that car only one issue with the alignment. But that’s minimal. That car went over 10,000 miles and it didn’t burn any oil.

Say what you want, I bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata new and had 185,000 miles on it before some lady ran a stop light. 40 mpg and drove it everyday. Wish I still had it.
The reason Hyundai has such a bad reputation is most people that buy them don’t take care of them. At least that’s my opinion and my observation I think if you take anything and take very good care of it regardless it will last you a lot longer than if you just treat it likea disposable item. I’m a Mazda girl myself.

When I bought my Corolla 2010, in less than half year the maintenance light was on and it did so every a few month. After cranking the heater to max and rolling down the windows, he drove home at 40 miles an hour all while making sure the temp gauge stayed below the red.
