Really enjoyed the bag hunt Ryan. Ended up being a good amount of wheaties in there and that blank planchet find was a good one. I’ve only found one and it was a zinc planchet - yet to find a copper one.
Hi rob. I was watching your stream the other night, I try my best to collect silver and get alot of support from my family in collecting. But the thing is I just cant get those boxes of coins like you do
The pig on the reverse of the Bermudan coin is because of a Spanish voyager who installed them on Bermuda during the early1500s, as he assumed he'd be back, he wanted to have a fresh supply of food. I dunno if he ever got back, but the pigs he left, and their descendants, fed many others coming to the island.
I have been a coin collector since I was 14 in 1972. I have almost every lincoln penny including a blank coin in a bag I got in the 1980's. The best coin in that same bag was a 1912 in XF40+. I also have a lot of nickels including what was known as a racketeir V nickel (gold plated 1883 no cent coin ).
So cool!!! It’s nice to see you posting again too. I missed you!! Hope all is well and that you and Kevin can make another video together soon. Big hugs 🤗 Darlene
Thanks for alerting me on Instagram! Blank planchets are super tough to find and very neat... I think I found a capped die once in a regular $25 box (still have it) but that's the only error I've found outside of the stuff I've found in the coin shop.
Nice of Tennessee to send you that bag. I always know you're on YT on Sat. I'm a day late but you know what they say about that one. I like to see you filling up your book. Hope all is well and you're keeping warm. Brrr here and getting worse on Tues in to Weds. All the Best ~ Shirl
Very entertaining on Sunday morning. I love filling out collections. I fill won I start another. Have to keep the grandkids happy. Do you keep your. Wheats & copper? I do for the next collection. Great video
Nice blank! I think the last time I found a blank planchet was about 1975! I did have a long gap in my serious searching but still, they are not common in my experience.
Nice job looking into them instead of just returning them! That is one of the cool things that you can find when you do, and it's cool because even though it's a blank, you know what the intended date is. That's something that you can't say for most blank planchets!
@@QuinsCoins Yup, I put it in a flip with a coin from the same roll. At first I was bummed to get a box of new pennies, but now I open them and look for blanks, miss aligned dies, off center strikes, super obvious doubling and cuds. They are going into consideration anyways, so I might as well get the first look at them.
Years ago I found a really cool 1957-D wheatie with doubling of the nose, lips and chin. I thought it would be something valuable, but a coin dealer said that particular type of doubling wasn't extremely rare. :(
I found a jewelry box from the 80s and my grandmas old house and a couple 1910 and 1911 Wheaties. About 50 wheaties in all and a few silver dimes. A 1943 Canadian
Where do you get your coin folders? I’ve been looking online and many have bad reviews saying they rip when they put the coins in. I’m trying to look for good ones but also cheap. Any suggestions?
the only blank planchet i have ever found was a UK 20 pence i found it with the detector on bude beach cornwall. the penny you said has "probably been in a dryer", has been on the road and run over by cars, there is a bus stop at the top of our street and you can often find coins dropped in the road there, they often look like that.
I live on the west coast in Washington state, and I NEVER get S mint marks! It’s weird too, because I live in Southeast WA, so I’m a little closer to California, but I have only ever found two S minted coins. They were, California and a North Dakota proof quarters.
Question ; Did you finish the first Lincoln album ?? I see you just start to do second Lincoln album. Those Copper or zinc blank planchets are rare to find them unless on Ebay.
I've had planchets before, but had no idea what it was because I had no idea where it 1st came from. It was in a token box at a coin shop for a nickel.
Hi! I live in Puerto Rico I got a blanck planchet last year. Looking over some penny rolls. I got so happy when I saw it and now that planchet is one of the beautys in my collection. I' ve been saveing coins for 20 years now and I have a penny collection from 1900 to 2018 but I can't fine 4 pennys to finish my cents collection these are the pennys I can't fine 1915,1922,1931 and 1932. I tried to buy them but no one has been able to fine them for me and I don't know what else to do to fine these four cents to finish my penny collection.
Thank you! This bag was donated to me by TNHillGuy here on TH-cam. He purchased it via ebay, although I don't believe the listing is available anymore. If you keep an eye out on eBay, you will see more listings pop up for bags of copper pennies. Good luck!
What brand of folder is it? I would suggest pushing coins in against a hard, sturdy surface. That is the best you can do. Some brands have really tight spots that are difficult to fit the coins into unfortunately!
Nice vid quin.and nice score I love your videos your the best I’ve learned so much from you.keep up the good work and keep dreaming that you’ll get an Indian head cent🙂😂your the best!😝
Yep! There are three more episodes left in the pennies series and the nickel series will start soon! Here's a link to the playlist for coin quest pennies season 2 in case you haven't seen them all yet: th-cam.com/play/PLYnOB-xWrjTUvA1_Hec5P7BlH9NrFTh1E.html

Thanks Rob! It's always weird to find them in circulation. Like...who spends them? And for that matter, who accepts them as payment? Lol
Hi rob. I was watching your stream the other night, I try my best to collect silver and get alot of support from my family in collecting. But the thing is I just cant get those boxes of coins like you do
Do you think you can give me some advice on how to collect
ItsJordansHub It’s pure luck.
You all really know each other, that is no joke.

Nice! You're like me- you only pick out the most obvious errors haha hard to miss a completely blank disk of metal :D

I have 4 blank coppers
Enjoy your videos. Have learned a lot since restarting again coin collecting.

I've been CRHing for about a year now and I've found one blank planchet. It was in a normal $25 bank box. Thanks for another sweet video!
I forgot that you were doing this series LOL

subbed to you
Ive found a black Nickle planchet as well, the larger denominations are fun to find in blanks
Thanks for the video! I have found a blank planchet in a 2018D roll of new pennies last fall.

I received an email from you about the coin mats and I responded right away just to let you know!! It’s been a while since I’ve been on your channel!

I just get them on Amazon! They will break if you aren't careful with them, but if you're careful then you shouldn't have an issue!

That’s a steal! They sell on eBay for between 1 and 5 dollars usually. Pretty easy to buy, but finding them in circulation doesn’t happen often!

I got really lucky last week. Found a 1940D Silver Quarter in my pocket change!

U awesome brother love penny's!

At 8:56 is there another blank planchet on the top right
I would hold on to that blank planchet
I have a penny folder and I don't know the easiest way to put the pennies into it without bending the folder. Any suggestions? Nice finds btw.
What brand of folder is it? I would suggest pushing coins in against a hard, sturdy surface. That is the best you can do. Some brands have really tight spots that are difficult to fit the coins into unfortunately!
It's a Whitman folder
Probably gonna buy the album and ditch the folder. Is it worth the price?
Good hunt and cool wheat pennies but, a blank planchet isn't really an error or is it?
What about the silver one at 12:31??
I found a blank thats only blank on one side the obverse side is blank!
That might be better than a blank!
That coin is worth more then 1c
the 51 D at 18:00. I paused it in a way that made it look like it was a double die error.

I know!! It’s exciting for 5 seconds, then you realize that you already have it haha
@@QuinsCoins just wondering what would happen if a steel penny went though a copper sitting machine

I am sure that it would get thrown into the zinc pile. They weigh 2.70 grams which is closer to zinc (2.54 grams) than copper (3.11 grams)
1943 copper wheat pennies are rare and worth $1 million dollars
We dont get s eeler in indiana

Did this guy just use a copper sorter machine to sort out the copper because there is a lot of nice finds in it
Yes, this bag was compiled using a copper sorter. They are made and sold on eBay to collectors like me!
Cool
