illneas its sad to know that films like these never get nominated for oscars due to disturbing content..

Chris Antoniades well that is true but we can hope ... Lanthimos deserves an award

Chris Antoniades it will be a huge honor for Greek creators αλλά δεν πιστεύω στην εθνική περηφάνια καθε ταινία είναι κληρονομιά της ανθρωπότητας και όχι ενός έθνους 😁

i fucking love the way that they made the movie! camera angles reminded me a lot of the shining tho. and this type of music is just perfect for this movie!

Lanthimos is the closest thing we have to a modern-day Kubrick. TKOASD is his The Shining. The Favorite is his Barry Lyndon. I absolutely cannot wait for Poor Things to come out.

    (and just remember, u can't screw up - it's never surgeon's fault)

The surgeon in the beginning , does it have any meaning? i love the film because of the atmosphere it creates but however i dont completely understand it.

This tape knows how to make you uncomfortable at times, some may find it boring but it's great.

Cinematic score superb. The blend of Schubert with contemporary (in good taste, I typically dislike contemporary repertoire), a perfect blend. There is an emptiness/cold nature to this film similar to the likes of Salome or Lulu. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

The first time I saw this movie, the music of its first scene reminded me of the beginning of A Clockwork Orange. I want to know if somebody is agree with my opinion.

A lot of people say that Lanthimos's filmmaking resembles that of Kubricks. So yep, I do agree with you.

Barry Lyndon (one my fav Kubrick Films) even uses Schubert as well in the soundtrack. No coincidence.

Very nice, I liked the music more than the movie itself. BTW this would make a great Dark souls boss theme imo
