Brilliant advice. Just one thing though: The manual focal length setting is for MFT lenses with no electrical contacts (like the cheap 9mm) and other adapted lenses.
My main camera is an EM5 mk2, and, although it doesn't have phase detect AF, the continuous AF results are really very good, without any of the nasty 'hunting' which tends to be a trait of Lumix cameras. Keep up the great work 👍
I found colour grading on this with the ninja v worked a lot better since it's 4:2:2 via hdmi. It's been a long time since I took this camera out. Might take it out with me today.

You said about setting the lens size in the camera what do you choose when you a using a zoom lens? thanks
My SCP looks little bit different than yours, when im on video mode. I cant see saturation and sharpness icons at all, and cant adjust shadows/highlights balance. If i use photomodes (A,M,S,P) i can adjust but not on video mode. Any solutions?

Yes, you can set a custom white balance in a photo mode and then you can find it via the video settings. AWB works well for outdoors or you can just use the Sun or the Shade profiles.

Thanks. The A7III is okay for tripod work but I would get something newer if possible - Look into the Sony A7IV, A7C, or FX30. They all are better than the original A7III.
Yes, no matter what I do with the camera settings the internal mic is bad. Connecting any of my external mics helps the quality, but my Sony is light years ahead for audio quality.

Help please. How did you get Auto ISO in Video mode on the EM1 M11? I have tried to replicate your settings but can't see any way to activate Auto ISO for video. I have firmware 3.7.

How can you get the camera not to break into sections? When filming a 10 min video, it breaks up into 3-4 files. Is there a way to have one video file?
@@noahcarter1056 - no solution. It's baked into the camera to break up video files every 4gb or so. The new OM1 does not break the files up. It could be due to a much faster processor in the OM1.
haha! Let her know I am sorry 🤣. I don't use it in my studio at all Mark but if you choose to then give it a shot leaving it flat and see if it can handle the dynamic range fine. :) Peter Gregg uses one of these in his studio just fine but I use it more for Vlog stuff outdoors.

I'm doing now more video work and started working with my E-M1 II, together with the OM-1.
Its now a couple months later and i now own said camera. Got it for a good price used but basically new!

For the autofocus settings of videos, do you just use C-AF or sometimes change it up?
C-AF = continuous autofocus. That's the mode you want to use for shooting video on this.

becaus in flat and om- log, those options are not available (unfortunaly, because i would like to change the sharpness)

Yes, you can set a custom white balance in a photo mode and then you can find it via the video settings. AWB works well for outdoors or you can just use the Sun or the Shade profiles.

Yes. The only Olympus camera without the limit is the OM-1 from memory.
Do a search and there is a video out on how to remove the 30 minute limit on the EM1 II

How do you deal with the 30mins limit? Do you install the mod or you just made multiple clips and edit it on post? 2025 and em1 mkii still a beast lmL
for the kind of stuff I was doing at the time 30 minutes was enough. I've since sold this and moved to the G9II and GH7 for video.

Aperture priority is usually fine for me when outdoors. If I need to I can run some ND filters but A mode works fine for most of what I do.
My camera settings are a bit different. I have it on -3 green and +1 red and more contrast and saturation. I normally shoot photos tho

It's good once you tweak it but it's similar in a sense that it had a green tint to it before I started sorting out the custom settings.
