I had one of these in white bought it for $3,000 from a mate with a fucked trans and needing some paint work and accident damage another mate did me a solid he’s a panel beater fixed the accident damage and resprayed a few panels, I got the trans serviced and sold it to another mate for $7,500 I miss it but I used that money to get a bf xr6 paid $6,000 for it, had 135,000 kms on it when I bought it 4 years ago, it’s got 215,000 now, I love the xr6 done heaps of country trips in it to my father in laws house in Whyalla and back and never missed a beat
@@Getsum-ii gotta say the XR6 is by far better than any Commodore I've owned I had 2 vn's a vr berlina a vy berlina and the Vt SS and the xr6 beats all of them for comfort, driving, especially long distances

11:28 killer advice mate love it! i hope cnts listen. im a painter by trade an is nothing i hate to see more than this. itss like 1 step forward, 2 steps back when ppl try polish their turds an dont know wt their doing. it comes back even after u try rectify cos its alresdy too late !
Another way to fix the front seats in these VT-VZs is to grab the bottom cushion from a passengers’ side seat, as they tend to be less worn, and any wear will be on the opposite side anyway. The bottom cushions swap straight over (I believe they’re same part number left/right, so any holes/cutouts for the switches etc will get covered by the plastic trims) - have done this myself on VZ seats. I think the back cushion of the front seats can be swapped left to right, but only in a pinch, as you’ll end up with the holes for the lumbar & recliner on the wrong side. You can of course cut new ones but you’ll still be left with holes on the trans tunnel side, and these bits don’t get covered by the plastic trim in VY II and VZs. VT-VY I might be ok as they have a slightly different rear trim panel that wraps around the sides a bit more.

Just a tip bro, pixelate the license plate when you’re doing “nocturnal activities “ and featuring it in your video. You wouldn’t want the pigs coming around and confiscating the car and copping a fine. Social media gets screened all the time by these pricks. Trust me

Both are amazing cars was raised around holdens personally the only ford driver in the family 😂 both have their downsides but all cars do
