I'm really not bothered by the fact that it is only 3-player. While it is true that in those moments when you have 4 corridors, a 4th player would be helpful. However, I can't help but like the idea that no matter what, you have a blind spot that you HAVE to help cover. If the game had 4 players, most players would just choose to have 1 of every class and the games would play out very similarly. Yeah you want a weapon with good weak point bonus damage to blast the bigger xenos in the head with. Smartgun is a joy to use on waves of grunts but is lousy on elites.
I prefer the burst mode because Max was a hell of alot more accurate and took down enemy's faster. . .🤔😉✌ 2:07:25 Max just sold me on this game. . .😳🤩😆
Weakpoint damage is no joke in this game. You can easily get close to 300% weakpoint damage where firing a 3 round burst is equivalent to 9. Stuff starts to drop down a lot quicker. The spray and pray approach can also be effective but you'll run in to ammo trouble a lot more often.
There is a huge difference between hot sauce that uses peppers vs those that use pepper extract. The extract sauces taste like chemicals and burn hard for about 15 minutes. Da' Bomb is an extract sauce. The last dab uses pepper X from pucker butt, the farm that developed the Carolina Reaper. The good news is the pain lasts about 15 minutes before letting up.
Does anyone remember that rts alien vs predator game for the PS2? Everyone always talks about the PC AVP game so I'm almost starting to think it was a fever dream lol
It held such potential. Rough around the edges to be sure, but beneath that was a game that could have been great. Can't blame people for gushing about PC AVP2 though. That game was like, the height of AVP gaming. I still have dreams about what it would be like if that game was remastered today.
I think what that game was missing besides a little bit of polish was a skirmish mode, and some multiplayer. The campaigns were fun but limited you a lot. If it had a skirmish mode I would have played it a lot more.
My gripes about this game are very minor. I've seen some of the pathing of basic xenos doing some predictable "magnetizing" stuff. Where you can line up your crosshairs and take em out easy. Didn't happen often though. I'd like to see a teensy bit more weapon variety, but if this game does well I'm sure we'll see content patches.
I think the game has quite a bit of weapon variety. It has some interesting weapons from the books and comics, and the inclusion of Hyperdyne as a manufacturer is an inspired choice. My only complaint in the weapon department is the lack of some of the classics like the M4 pistol. And I would like to see more interpretations of weapons from other Alien games. The M39 was an interesting pull, but what about others from Colonial Marines? P9 SHARP? XM99? M4RA? NSG 23? MK221? What about the weapons from Isolation? Or even stuff from the Colonial Marines Technical Manual? There is a lot they could dip into.
Normal difficulty wouldn't too bad with bots if they wouldn't occasionally get stuck in geometry and die. Having one bot instead of 2 is exceedingly more difficult given you can't have one bot revive the other given they have a habit of standing right in the middle of the enemy swarm. Oh, and if the big aliens even get near, you better have a bot as cannon fodder because once you get knocked down, there's no hope for your moronic bots to save you.
Hahaha watching you switch out of your pulse rifle to the smart gun when you're trying to kill elites fast is funny! XD I feel like screaming at the monitor every time you do it XD
I found out that if you glitch your sentry on top of a structure, the aliens can't target or destroy them. Sometimes by doing this the sentry never breaks and stay glitched out but still working attacking the aliens and the sints. :D
Getting Mass Effect 3 online vibes from this, as well as Left 4 Dead and Gears of War of course. So glad that TOVG is enjoying the game, though with the 3 player limit sadly one of them needs to sit this one out whenever they play a session. Theres something odd about the music in Priority 2. Max missed few hidden items on few places, included where the three room exist (in the valve search mission), and also on the table with lamp 1:32:50 outside the room where Monika the white stripped Xeno first appear. Usually Max's hidden item search instinct was strong. Hmm 🤔🤔🤔
How the game is designed sorta discourages level exploration because it gives more time for aliens to spawn. That said it's usually not that bad, usually only 5 common xenos or so, but when you're first playing the game it does ramp up the tension.
@@w1mark275 Eventhough it would be hard with the alien spawning, but I think me and max would not mind of it. That would more interesting. Searching stuffs under pressure is always my thing because it would be challenging, and i know Max would feel the same. We both have that similarity. heheh

@@lutherheggs451 frightening is also one of the reasons as well for the alien concept, that was until extraTERRORestrial came to play and sort of did that and my god was it a doozy.
3:30 Every now and again, Max needs to let the little kid out. X3
Max, you can place the turret on the top of railing, top of boxes, etc.
when are they gonna make a tremors game
The Doc needs to be the only one healing. In order to fill the Trauma Center, he has to pick up Med kits. But you can only pick up and have one at a time. Solution? Let the Doc heal you with a med kit. Then he picks up a second. Then he heals the other player. Then he picks up a third. Then he heals himself (if needed) and now he has 3 med kits worth of juice to heal all with.
Yeah. It's a bit clunky, especially given that you can't just carry and drop med kits, either. But it's also their FIRST GAME, so I'll live with it.
Everyone take a shot every time Max quotes Alien or Aliens in this video.
You will be dead before the end of the video! XD
Eagerly waiting for part 2! great vod
Anyone else catch cortanas OG voice actor doing the voice of the Lady in the intro cut scene?
This is why I think COD Aliens was better than Zombies. See this action? and aliens all fast and jumping all over the area?? THIS IS HOW IT WAS! And it was THEE BOMB! btw, I want this game
To add to Max's poem
"The sky and the water is wet, Nerf fires foam, while airsoft fires a pellet"
I love how at 1:25:44 the alien's head pops off and the body just keeps standing there.
Please Ripley lives rent free in Max's house.
Why is Simmons using a character that looks like a Karen I'd see at Wal-Mart?
Yeah, no proper females in this game. Well, they call them "feminine" not "female". Whatever that means, I don't speak woke.
@@madfinntech Imagine being mad at an Aliens game for making realistic looking woman soldiers. Aliens, the movie that created the strongest woman protagonist in cinema ever, back in 1986.
@@madfinntech But you do speak " incel " very well i see
@@MarkZeroGamingoutside of T2 Sarah Conor, you mean? Sure.

I know I'm going to sound like a jerk, but imagine having this much trouble in Standard difficulty only to realize the game doesn't start becoming intense until, well, Intense difficulty. (Friendly fire, harder damage, less ammo reserves, less deaths, etc.) Fire discipline, ration your consumables and aid kits, use your abilities and kit wisely, and in general PLAY SMART.
I've moved onto Intense difficulty and YIKES, things quickly get INSANE. And I'm not even on to, well, Insane difficulty.
What will become of Fetty Officer D.J. Bustanutt and his crew? Tune in next time, to Aliens vs Idiots PART 2.
Damn I miss gaming! The last play like this I put time in on was 2 man split screen Halo on Legendary. For what I heard was an indi production, this is pretty sweet... See you space cowboys.
Max may be the least threatening man with a gun I think I've ever seen rofl
Seeing him do that made me think he was drunk.
Love this game, its not as good as Isolation or AvP 2010, but its easily my #3 fav Aliens game. All they need to do is add some chat functions, buff Doc, add more maps/weapons and buff the bots/alpha/beta.
Avp2010 is generally extremely underrated
Don’t you mean “Palpha” and “Brota?”
@@neloverg3774 Love that game so much.
I used to make small models of the X-Wing with bobby pins and Q-tips and lots of tape and it came out perfectly on that note I'm glad Max's enjoying aliens fire Team Elite this game is fun
Board games for aliens:
Nemesis - Basically the Alien movie experience.
Zombicide Invader/Dark Side - Limited resources, space soldiers vs hordes of aliens
Max using the Smart Gun in single targets hurts my soul.
It's designed for large waves.
Yeah you want a weapon with good weak point bonus damage to blast the bigger xenos in the head with. Smartgun is a joy to use on waves of grunts but is lousy on elites.
"short controlled bursts"
Max: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!1
I prefer the burst mode because Max was a hell of alot more accurate and took down enemy's faster. . .🤔😉✌
2:07:25 Max just sold me on this game. .
When you save the doctor, you can say that Hanuka is saved.
I remember how much space was needed just to save your progress lol
It held such potential. Rough around the edges to be sure, but beneath that was a game that could have been great.
Can't blame people for gushing about PC AVP2 though. That game was like, the height of AVP gaming. I still have dreams about what it would be like if that game was remastered today.
I think what that game was missing besides a little bit of polish was a skirmish mode, and some multiplayer. The campaigns were fun but limited you a lot. If it had a skirmish mode I would have played it a lot more.
They should have 4 players so we can get all the doods team members together.
I feel like at some point it will, but for a small dev team they really knocked it outta the park.
Well, I'm buying this game.
Oh my God, a YoVideogames hot ones challenge would be amazing 😂😂 some of my fave videos are the soda tasting ones, so I love this idea
I know that this game is meant to play multiplayer coz this game hard as hell playing solo.
I've done those mall VR things a few times, once for Star Wars and once for Avengers. Both were great and highly recommend if they're still running.
When Kenny started doing the voice for his character my mind went immediately to Shaggys voice :D
ZOINKS! SCOOB!
Just wana say that this thumbnail is a fantastic representation of the Doods running it! :D
This game is so futuristic, the equipment is like technologically advanced, not sure if it's because if the space tech makes a difference
Now this is one videoy-ass-game video game! Already looks like a good game to just jump in with some dudes
This reminds me so much of Resistance 2 Coop mode.
I didn’t want to think that but you just confirmed it; I’m buying this
Lol 43:07 that Arnold yell is gold.
I found out that if you glitch your sentry on top of a structure, the aliens can't target or destroy them. Sometimes by doing this the sentry never breaks and stay glitched out but still working attacking the aliens and the sints. :D
"Guns are expensive" yeah, story of my life haha
Getting Mass Effect 3 online vibes from this, as well as Left 4 Dead and Gears of War of course. So glad that TOVG is enjoying the game, though with the 3 player limit sadly one of them needs to sit this one out whenever they play a session.
Theres something odd about the music in Priority 2. Particularly around 2:56:59 Must be David playing that flute showing off his solo fingering skills.
Also prospector Kenny is the best.
God i hate the legendary collection just cause they killed off the me3 multiplayer...
To see the DOOD that named his daughter RIPLEY finally play this game!! 😊
It’s basically what Colonial Marines should have always been!
I love Kenny's commitment to the bit. Prospector dlc pls
We both have that similarity. heheh
