I prefer warm/neutral white for EDC and if it has high CRI, that's even better. I used to love the cool white LEDs because I thought the brighter, the better, but learned it's much harsher on the eyes at night. I would use a cool white LED flashlight for defensive situations. I like how the EDC05C has front and side outputs as it adds versatility to the light. I appreciate it having a flood beam with the Nichias and the throwing beam with the cool white LEDs, that setup makes sense. Thanks for the review!

There's a 21700 though. So you could use that with 18650s as well.
Is there a newer version of this? What 145000 battery do you recommend?
I would totally get this if they just changed the clip design so you can clip it onto your hat. It's so close to being perfect

Wish they machined it to flip the clip so you can wear it on a hat as a headlamp. That's so important :( Is there any other flashlight like this with side lamp that's good quality??
You can clip it to your shirt or breast pocket. Would work almost the same.

This is my first time seeing this light. Looks exactly like what I've been looking for for EDC, but I can't find it for sale! Anyone know where I could find this light??

If it has USB-C port and two way pocket clips it would be super good but then again you can always get a 14500 battery with USB-C

Where is the newer model available? How did you find out that it’s AA compatible?

(this one is NOT compatible with AA batteries. only 14500)

This UI is very bad, confusing and stupid not intuitive:( the side light mod compare to Rovyvon, Nitecore tiki it's like a joke!
