- Make sure to understand the basics of match photo in part 1. Now that you have started your model, this video will cover how to use multiple photos as reference and also how to align existing geometry to a photo to explore different design options.

Wow that's pretty awesome. Im gonna have to give that a go.
is it possible to match the photo to the existing design instead...like they do in artlantis 6...e.g maybe i want to align an existing image to my current project so i render them both?
Does anyone know if you can use this method to import a proposed elevation from an architects drawing onto an existing model?
so what if i import multiple images, but the origin isn't visible on all of them?
For some reason when I import my image it blocks the fill in my model anyone know how to fix that?
Great!
Great video, but I would like to see how you would add a new building to a real world context.
is that a plug in? or is it a tool wich i can find in the toolbar. I use sketchup 2017 btw.
is a tool in sketchup, find it in windows/matchphoto
Awesome!!
why
Is it rendering of 3D Model + photo possible (during last example)?
I would render the model separately, with the photo toggled off. Then, overlay onto the photo using Photoshop. Not sure about the shadows though.
keyword to download this foto like a sample in video?
How did you draw the curved roof
I have a fully drawn house in sketchup with roof and walls with texture from materials in sketchup and I want to overlay it in a photo of that existing house in it's own environment. HOW IS THAT DONE? I just get the model transparent and I don't want to project the textures from the photo. :-)
That's what I was hoping to get from this video as well! But another way I did it was using photoshop, if you have a finished picture of the house/model you're making and have rendered the picture, you can import them both to photoshop and change their perspective angle there. Hope that helps!

im sketchup advanced user
why in any video does it never explain how to SCALE both image and model to real world dimensions. I photo match the model to the image but then the model turns out to be like 30m long when it should only be about 6m. WHERE IS THE SCALING OPTION????
Jay Nsilentbob
You can scale it afterwards, with “measuring tape” tool.
muy buena
Wish I could just take a picture and make it 3d
+Postive Molly than you need something else... theres softwares out there that performs photogrammetric processing of digital images and generates 3d objects... but defo not free, or you can buy 3d scanners which even more expensiver...
!!!
This looks complicated
It's easier if you've watched all the other videos to this point.
