this month I am creating 4 special tutorials, where peope who have been following me could send me references they would like to see as a tutorial and I chose 4 of them to interpret with my own style and techniques.
for this one I have been asked to show how to do one of my own setups.
it adapts some of the stuff i showed in my blob track instancing tutorial and interprets them in a different way.
in this tutorial we have a look at creating some audioreactive pseudo scientific overlay which we also use to displace our input.

For anyone folllowing this tutorial and your text wasn't lining up with your points, I was able to fix it by making my resolution 1000. I'm guessing it was because of the resolution limitations in free TD. Great tutorial

The best part of any turorials is randomly picking up on something I didn't know and you very casually did, in this case the specification DAT on Text TOP, which I never used for some reason!!

TO FIX CLUMPED TEXT ON BOTTOM FOR NON COMMERCIAL VERSION:
Change the multiply in the math for the r and g selects to 1280 by 720 (math2>mult-add>multiply=1280, math3>mult-add>multiply=720) hope this helps yall

I was running into an issue of misaligned text and this was the solution.
Just had to change the resolution of the "text" TOP after the DAT to match 1280 x 720 as well!

@larissaloza5039 you may be able to change the scaling of the font to fix the stretching as a work around!

Hi Panik, I'm curious how you come up with all the ideas for your tutorials. Do you start building an idea with an empty space and try to figure out what operators you use? Or do you take bits and pieces of built in operators from previous work and try to connect them and make them work?

I'm currently facing an issue with the blob tracking (I'm using the non-commercial license so that maybe a factor) though where the boxes won't show and only the numbers do while tracking. But when i bring the blob tracking input up over the comp it shows, sad thing is when I do this my displacement color effects gets hidden behind. Would really appreciate if you know a solution to this!

Hiiii I just followed along to this I made something really cool . I would love to show you what I did, instead of flower I made some really cool glitch art with people faces. This is was my first time using this software. Because I have good understanding of Cinema4D I found most of the stuff pretty handy to figure out. My only question is how do I render this as a Video Format so I can throw it into Resolume and use it on a show :D and what is most difficult thing to accomplish any suggestion on something more difficult

does anybody know if its possible to change the text of the numbers to customise it ? i have an idea to write out a poem with one word on each point

you could create a text, with 1 word every row, convert it to a table, then merge your position table (x,y) with your text table. you need to make sure that the intersections/resolution of your noise (the one that generates the lines) is the same number as your poem has words. hope that helps :)

@@reburnstuff3200 yes I did - I did what panik said in the reply and put my text 1 or 2 words per line , and found that u have to keep the 1st line in the column as 'text' or else it won't work
I want to track videos with those lines but literally don’t know how to explain it
The points on my point shape are really close together and look like a solid line except on one side where they're more spread out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and why they're not on the corners like yours? great series of videos tho! :)

@@pppanik007 Hi - great tut. I am having the same issue. Output Aspect on the Text TOP is 'Use Input', however all the text is clumped together in one line at the bottom. Any ideas? Thx!
I had the same issue and found a fix. Are you using the non-commercial version? If so, change the res in constant1 to 1280 (the highest we can go with non-commercial).
