Its great to be back guys , with our trip to America and Christmas its been difficult to get anything done ( work or videos ) but we are back at full speed and cracking on . Thank you so much for your support with our channel , and can i say thank you to everyone who has sent very kind comments about the loss of my partner of 35 years ,, Beautiful Joanne , Its been a very very tough 4 months since she passed away and keeping going has been hard , but massive thanks must go to Steve for keeping me going and pulling me through the last few months , and im sure a while to come yet .
Hi Paul , Sorry to hear of your loss, our deepest condolence to you and your family mate, I went through a similar situation and as odd as it seems I worked my way through it, stay focused and it will get better with time. our loved ones are always with us as long as we never forget them. Cheer Romano in Palm Beach Florida
Sorry to hear of your loss Paul. Couldn’t imagine what it would be like loosing my partner of almost ten years, let alone 35 an the memories you must of shared together. I know how hard it was loosing my father but your partner the person you choose to share your life with must be extremely hard
Uncle Paul & Steve thax for showing us how to repair and preserve our blue blooded rides. The content your putting out is for lack of a better word priceless. Hope you Gents both realise that the knowledge and experience you are sharing not only inspires a love and following for these vehicles but also inspires many to want to learn how to repair and preserve these pieces of history and memory.if by any chance you have not read it or heard it before, thax so much for sharing your knowledge and experience .
I hope so mate, love watching ur content on these amazing cars. If I was to ever own one I know exactly who to go to for work even if it was the opposite end of the country. Best of luck for 2024 bud
Stunning and a phenomenal job. These cars must be maintained. So few you need to preserve to make it last. If I had one it would definitely be a good weather user. You wouldn’t lock away.
Mate been away 4 a bit so sorry to hear about your loss Mate, just discovered thing by reading comments on Adam Smith channel. All the best frm a appreciative Cosworth lover. 😎✌👍👊
Nice to talk about the Australian Touring cars with you at the NEC Paul. You've done a super job on the Barn finds RS500, a stripped back Sympathetic recommissioning and preservation job, educational too. Have a great Christmas and hope to see you in 2025.
Keeping it real fellas. Just the way it should be! Best bit for me is the owner wants to drive it and have some fun. Not throw a squillion quid at it then hide it away somewhere!
Paul I have always enjoyed following your projects and had the pleasure of meeting you at the NEC in November, you had time for my wife and I and for that will forever be grateful! Paul I am so so sorry to hear of your terrible loss on Adam Smiths Q&A post, how you spoke about the love of your life was so brave of you and to be honest stunned me. Draw strength my friend moving forward, as I think you know she will always be with! Stay strong & Bless you!
Great channel this and I’m big into Old Ford’s having had a series one escort a while back,I’m not a mechanic but I’m a spark and I enjoy your channel. So Sorry for your loss Paul all the best mate ,keep strong
Every viewer of this channel loves you Paul for your funny stories and your excellent content I know what your going through it does get easier mate but you never forget takecare
Hi Paul and Steve, nice to have an update (with the standard bitching/jesting). The Cosworth is progressing well, all the usual skill & quality being applied. The A team is on it, roll on next video guy's.. Alex.
Love these videos! Got all my mates hooked. Remember growing up and seeing local lads with the motors going up the road sideways! More videos please 🙏🏻
I’ve just sat and watched all the episodes on this, You said it’s not a Full Restoration but a preservation, You Guys have done an amazing Job with the preservation, it’s almost a Brand new Car again . Great Job 👏
Paul really sorry to find out about your loss my heart goes out to you, glade to see your back love the vids takes me back to when i had a moonstone 3dr back in the 92 being stopped every 5mins by the police. a youtuber called imstoke put a vid on over christmas about a mini/metro spares unit over birmingham who has some new old stock sierra front wings might be of some interest to you, stay safe mate and i wish you all the best.
Beautiful work. Think you should describe it as a “costoration” for when working to a budget. Totally agree to keeping as much as original and not building a garage queen never to be seen or driven again.
Just one word for Paul love your inspiration for everyone out there that has lost someone dear to them, I saw your interview a few days ago with Adam and it did bring a tear to my eyes, I’m very grateful that you are such inspiration to everyone to get through these very hard times 🥰
Just watched your Q&A on Adams channel and if I may say that I was so sorry to hear about your wife Joanne, I know what a loss that will be stay strong and positive Paul and know that there is thousands of people who hold you dear to tbeir hearts
Paul, so so sorry to hear of your loss mate. Keep strong in her memory as I’m sure that’s what she would’ve wanted. 😎❤️👍. Keep up all your fantastic work guys 😎👍🤝
Amazing guy Paul watch every video.and always looking forward to next one.my dream cars a black rs500, I whouldnt know what I do about them if wasn’t for watching your videos mate.massive respect to you and Steve.
Paul,so sorry for your loss, how you have stayed so strong & enthusiastic is beyond me but no doubt that’s what Joanne would have wanted. The car looks fantastic guys, superb work, it will be around for many more years to come. The brake pipe straightening tool…genius, 😂 take a patent out and knock ‘em out for 20 quid, they’ll be queuing at the door, thank me later ! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Great to have you back guys need more of revin Kevin lol Paul very sorry for you loss I also met my wife at 17 I went through a lot of medical problems last year she was there busy my side as your wife will be until you meet again ❤❤
Another good tip is to have a some lengths of bar with various fittings welded to them so that you can support the new hose being made by screwing them together, makes putting a tight bend right after the fitting so much easier.
What you dont see is at the end Steve whaps them up his vag to give them an uber straight look. Did you all not know that? ohh dear, there was yous all dishing advice out to someone who uses the vagina method.
Great work on the brake pipe work but copper pipe 🥴 Kunifer pipe is so much better and very little more cost wise and don’t really get corrosion on like copper 😉👍
Great to see you back Paul really enjoy your videos and the knowledge and laughs from you two, cannot imagine how tough it must of been for you and the video on Adam,s channel brought a tear to the eye for me and a lot of others. Stay strong and all the best for 24.😎
Amazing job guys, can't wait for the next one already😊used to work on these back in the nineties, when ford had specific RS dealers, so these are a real throwback for me.
The one I have been waiting for! Top job Paul and Steve… love how you have stuck to customer’s brief and what you have done with this. Paul I hope you read all comments for you over on Adam’s channel with regard to his interview with you. Keep them coming!
Good job, obviously that’s on the better side of preserving, it also looks 👌🏻 and like you said all that would need doing is the engine out, if someone wanted to take it further. Thanks as always 🫡
Hi Paul and Steve, Another great video, Nice work Steve on the brake pipes and altogether on the car she look amazing. I cant wait to see her once the detailers have been Thanks for sharing cheers.
Speak to John at Alloy Art in Rochford about refurbing the wheels, he's done my cossie wheels and others for me and does a top job. Sorry to hear of your loss, stay strong mate.
Absolutely brilliant all round you boys are very lucky doing that for a living!! Sometimes it probably doesn’t feel like it I bet but believe me you are lucky👍
Thanks for the great update both as always. Paul I’m truly sorry to hear of your loss, it’s good that you have good friends to lean on at a time like this.
Hi Paul and Steve loving the job on the Cosworth regarding the 3 door wheel refurbishment would Ric Wood Motorsport be able to help you out he has an amazing machine shop just a thought all the best Les👍👍👍
So sorry for your loss buddy! Keep driving with your passion, im sure she wouldn't want you to stop now, by far the most knowledge on cossies ive come across on youtube infact in life and hats off to you paul. Come across your channel from adam and watched every video love the content and glad to see your still driving forward mate 👍🏼❤️
Hi Paul, another great video from you guys. Loving the progress on this car. It really is a true barn find 👍 Also, so sorry for your loss. Think of all the good memories you had together. I imagine there are plenty. Take care ❤
Think I’ve said this before. All the open cavities like in the front panel and chassis legs need a good coat of Bilt Hamber Dynax S50 cavity wax. I don’t know why you don’t do this now, it’s all easy and exposed. Comes with a long lance as well so you can slip it deep into the cavities.
Blimey, this usable 500 will be better on the underside than many ‘restored’ cars. This’ll make the 80yo owner so happy. I hope when he picks up the car he boots it down the road laying 205 section lines while screaming ‘hallelujah’😂 When (if👀) I reach 80yo, I’llve owned my 46m3 42 years, still doing ring trips in it and causing havoc with the government. Long live I.C.E ( and cosies😘)
Now that to me a perfect way to do it still nice example but can jump in it and take it out agree with pair of you your not after a show car or garage queen but something owner can jump in take for a drive

Good tip for ya, get yourself an off cut piece of 2x4 timber drill a hole the size of pipe and pass it through. Your get perfect pipe each time
Steve just likes pretending he is in the kitchen at home , lol
