Awesome! It’s 3 am and The last cut is against the tub. You’re video made up my mind. Looks awesome. My bathroom is small. Also I found that sheet metal scissors cut reallywell on these floors, ya know cause it’s 3 am. Thank you.

Awesome! I'm looking at installing vinyl plank flooring into my bathroom, and have been wondering if there was a way to but it up against the tub just like this. Thanks for the knowledge.

Does having the toilet secured on vinyl planks create any expansion/contraction issue?

W0nderful. i don't want to quarter round it either. so you will glue the 3 boards. QUESTION: how is the flooring going to expand if you glue the first 3 boards?

Vinyl plank floors have almost no expansion/contraction. Nonetheless, you can only do this in a small stand alone area, like in a bathroom, with no issues.

Great idea to glue down the vinyl planking so it cant ever move. Forget what the manufacturer suggests "You do it" I just don't understand why stop with construction adhesive? I'm actually going to break out my nail gun and follow up with some framing nails quite possibly I'll set some drywall screws into the vinyl flooring and finish up with my ramset quite possibly ill set some tapcons. thanks for the suggestion

Can you glue like this against the shower and bath if the vinyl planking is connected to the rest of the flooring?

rest of the house? no. only small areas like a bath.

To avoid a Quarter Round molding along the tile wall; floating floors must be secured down along walls/other floors with moldings, such as quarter round :)

Adhesive under LVT voids the warranty.

Crappy job. You are never suppose to glue and caulk the vinyl or laminate floating floors because after a few months the boards will start to crown.

What makes you so confident to post a crappy reply like this?

@@Youdoit_DIY Because I had a "pro floor installer" do it in my floors and it destroyed my vinyl floor planks and I had to redo everything all over again by myself and I did a better job than a "pro floor installer".

@@VersaVoicePodcast Oh, I'm sure you did...
But, as I explain at the beginning, Vinyl Planks DO NOT expand&contract whole a lot, and if you're doing a small area, you can get away with it with NO problems.

@@Youdoit_DIY - maybe I missed that part. We had our 1300 SQ feet basement done and it start crowning and breaking after a few months.

    • @Youdoit_DIY

Yeah, I wouldn't do 1300sf like that. This part of the project was like 120 feet stand alone area
