Very cool! I love it! I think you should make a new rod for the compression release on that engine! It REALLY helps you start these crank start engines nice and easy! Also wondering if there's some adjustments on that rock crusher? Every time Ive seen one working you just drop the rocks in and off it goes making them into dust, yours seems to be struggling quite a bit... Very cool build though! It would be an awesome show display too!

I didn't know there is a compression release rod. I will have to check that out. I have put a newer type engine on it just for that reason. I removed the plates and the hard weld surface had worn away so a hand full of hard surface rods and it works much better now.

@@kevincrawford2027 All crank start Briggs in the A through ZZ series starting with the model B and up (B, K, Z, ZZ) have a compression release that holds the exhaust valve open. If you look at the shroud on the top left there's a small hole where a little rod went thru and hooked into the level on the valve cover. The originals were quite literally a small steel rod with a 90s degree bend in it as it got thru the cover so I'm sure you can easily duplicate that!

@@colin_5839 Thanks. I learn something every day about these old engines.

I think the crusher plate needs rebuilt.

You are correct. The next day I pulled it apart and the hard weld at the lower end had been worn smooth. Hand full or hard surface rod and all is good now.
