Holy smokes. This is absolutely amazing, you went above and beyond making this a whole new experience beyond just an audio drama. The SRW-esque dialogue boxes are great. The background CG's are a stellar touch. Super evident that a bunch of love and respect for the series went into this, even if it's such a niche thing. Subscribed and wishing I found your channel sooner.
@@riverpuddingYea, although it was actually sort of a breath of fresh air that they didn’t. (Especially since not a single gag about that sort of thing lol) But the drama CD’s having it makes sense at least.
Finally done, this was an absolutely fantastic construction you did, even employing some SRW classics with the pictures next to the dialogue boxes (as well as the art, of course). And there’s a limited amount to go off of in terms of imagery, too. I wonder if the source of the drama CD material you got it from had scans of the booklet with the scripts written on it. (Just one thing though, don’t know if you’ve noted a correction but the director’s name is actually Yoshitomo Yonetani.) EDIT: My question was answered at the end of the video.
This is incredible to finally have translated. Hope you do the other three drama CDs someday, they have some really great storytelling and obscure lore in them!
Don't you worry about that haha, the other three are planned but first up is the second of three VampireHunterD dramas, some Macross 7 stuff and the first Megaman Zero CD
There is also more drama cds od GaoGaiGar and GaoGaiGar Final as well However the drama cd version between GaoGaiGar and GaoGaiGar final had to buy online or had to go buy in japan and edited into like this , There still had in niconico however it got deleted
Yes, I had a hard time finding this one, but luckily the kind people over at Pyroxene Scans have uploaded all four of the main ones and have partially translated the Final ones. They're also translating the GGG vs Betterman manga and have already completed the novel so I recommend checking them out!

@@kuraux56s59 Hmm I don't know if I'd go so far as to call this vital information. In my opinion this is less of a "must have" and more of a "nice to have", like the show and ova function fine without having this piece of media in your overall GGG experience, so it's not essential but it is a really nice addition to the total story. In my personal opinion! And I agree that it sucks that this sort of thing is usually hidden away for anyone who isn't Japanese until someone dumps a summary somewhere but what can you do, they're focussed on making money off of the Japanese market and sometimes they make business-decisions that aren't in our best interest but in theirs. All I can so to that is at least I'm here dragging some of these out from behind the veil.
@@riverpudding I will say, I know this specific Drama CD may not be vital information. But there are other series where quite a lot of vital material is hidden behind side-material that does not have a translation. ...And your efforts are much appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words and the sub, chief! What can I say, I do love me some Gaogaigar, so stay tuned for the rest!
Gai and Mikoto are my favorite couple in anime
They almost never focussed on that part during the anime itself so that's what I personally really like about this audio play.
