@@theloganshowpodcast I might be getting one of those old-school transcibers on my podcast this week. Should be a fun discussion. hehe.. Thanks again for the mention, I'll share on my socials.
Having listened to the final part of the interview, I thank you for asking the hard questions about Brit and I'm literally in tears hearing Charlie share how the band reacted to Brit's illness and passing. Thanks for that. And throughout the interview putting up stills or clips of all the bands that are discussed made this one heck of an outstanding conversation. Thank you isn't quite strong enough to say how touching, informative, interesting,... all superlatives for 90 minutes of pure gold with Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke. Merci.
Bro! You did a really good job having a conversational interview with Charlie. He is one of my favorite people on the planet. I expect your subscriber count to skyrocket, and i hope it does. Great job!
Not only are they great performers, songwriters, recording artist, and seemingly great guys, but the best part for me is how authentic it all sounds and feels.
April 2015 saw BBS at the Ryman and it is 1 of the best sounding shows I've ever seen/heard. In an age of all digital, in the box recording, this band cut a Rolling Stones tribute album..DIRECT TO ACETATE! Let that marinate a second. The level of musicianship required for that is incredible and they pulled it off like it was just another day at the office. Long live the Smoke!
Thank you for this interview... I'm only in about 20 mins. It's refreshing; it's up to date; it is Charlie, as always, just full of stories and knowledge and love for Blackberry Smoke. On to the rest of the "show".... but wow, thanks for this so so much. From France, merci. 3 Aug. 2024. Seeing them in Sept. 2024 in Brussels, Paris and Milano. Then I'm flying to Portland, Oregon for their concert in October!
Charlie can craft a song as well as any of the greats. Great hooks, both guitar and melody. Always catchy lyrics and harmony and he is the absolute MASTER of the best bridges. Put that Blackberry Smoke straight into my veins!
This was a really cool interview. Thank you Sir! Shout out to Charlie's sister who loves Ratt ❤ The 80s will always be the best, especially Southern Rock jams.
Now half way through this excellent interview. Showing a pic of the artists you're talking about is so well done; I'm listening to two music "geeks" with such a shared experience/love of the rock 'n roll world. Will get back to your tomorrow for the final 30 mins. of a excellent, intelligent, original, simply knock my socks off interview. Thank you The Logan Show. Wow! Merci.
SMOKE IS A BADASS BAND . I know what it takes to have a good band. Until you have the right group of people that can read each other when playing together you aren't going to get where smoke is. My opinion is that BLACKBERRY SMAOKE is the best southern rock band since Ronnie Van Zant died. My bans rocks about 4 of your songs Charlie keep it rocking and never stop.
BBS is the real deal,Growing up with the Stones ,Zep and LS, and real Country Music ,I love the southern music style they have latched onto and never let go of ! I saw them in St.Augustine last Fall maybe one of the last shows Brit was still with us. So sad.
Saw Blackberry Smoke years ago opening for ZZ Top in Nashville. Definitely caught my attention as the real deal. Had no idea Charlie was such a cool dude. Thanks for this interview.
Charlie is a great artist,so down to earth . and a guitar monster . BBS's Version of You Got Lucky with Amanda Shires is amazing so pretty played . That song is my wife and I 's song .. When we met that song was played in the background at so many different places we would go it had just came out back in the day. so it feels like its on our lives soundtrack .
Has anyone ever seen Charlie and the drummer from the Kentucky Headhunters drummer together in the same room?? I love Charlie. You can tell he loves to play when he keeps picking between songs
I was at the Metallica tour with Queensryche and Savatage. Motorhead is Loud.. John Entwistle solo at the Cubby Bear in Chicago a long time ago was probably the loudest..
Spectrum in Philly 79 Ted Nugent looked up to the bed sheet that said "Turn it Up You Pussy " They kicked into The song Turn it up for the encore ! A week later my hearing came back to normal 😅
Logan, thanks for the mention man! My subscriber just told me about it. Much appreciated! :)
Haha that was me that sent you the note about it. Thanks so much for checking it out man!
