    Do a APR tune on your 2.5 and you now have a beast. It’s crazy what the tune does to that car.

    this guys got so lucky with this deal, and he got one with a very high spec leather interior which isn't the norm in gts usually. different sound than the 6, less melodious but more raw like vintage race cars

    It dances like Baryshnikov and punches like Tyson. I did 1,156 miles in one day 24.7mpg, averaged 84 mph. The 18ways are the way to go. PDLS+ LEDs make night mountain driving a pure pleasure. And yes all Porsches are Porches, who are we to contemplate? But this one is the right Porsche, mid-engined with a diff, as all max performance race cars are made. I have 2 sticks, a DSG and two ZF8s but my Cayman had to be PDK for traffic, track and MaxSpeed, a stick is an erection selection, ask any race driver. Nice to see you smile, I am still mad, Porsche gave me PTV but not Torque Vectoring, it's more like PBS, Porsche Bitch-Slapping at least that's what my rear disks tell me.

    Awesome ! I have nearly the exact same spec, except PDK and heated/ventilated seats in the chalk. He sounds like he’s loving his just how I’m loving mine. Such an amazing car. It’s fun doing anything in it. I basically look for reasons just to drive … never have I done that in a car before

      @MaxSpeedMike  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. We can bitch about the flat 6 sound missing here, or we can focus on the fact that it's a porsche, it still sounds good (different, but good), and it drives incredibly well! Thanks for watching 🤘

    Interestingly, I traded in an S 2000 and a tuned 2016 GTI Autobahn for my 718 Boxster. I also have no regrets. Everything I had in those two cars I have in this one car with the exception of storage capacity in the GTI which I no longer need.

    $67k in 2020 for this 2018 Cayman GTS, w/ only ~5k miles on it?! Was it in an accident previously, or did you know the previous owner or something? A car like this is now, in spring 2023, after the manufacturer's warranty is expired, going for in the mid to high 80s in the States. Are prices really that inflated right now? I find that hard to believe.

    • @MaxSpeedMike
      @MaxSpeedMike  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, no auction. Prices are really just that inflated right now unfortunately

    • @AEMBowers
      @AEMBowers ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. From what I see from Fourwheel Trader's price history, prices for GTSs today are maybe 5k more than in 2020, not 20k more (87k - 67k). Most of these vehicles, once optioned, have brand new retail prices in the mid to high 90ks. At $67k for a 2020 with 5k mi on it, that represents about a 31% decrease in price (assuming a retail price of $97k). That decrease/depreciation seems significantly too high to me, suggesting that it's more like a very good deal was had.

    • @MaxSpeedMike
      @MaxSpeedMike  ปีที่แล้ว

      @AEMontoya he did get a very good deal lol. When these were first released, no one liked them. But as time went on, ppl gave them a chance, realizing anything porsche makes is fun to drive

    • @arr0gant1
      @arr0gant1 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A $67k car in Nov of 2020 would cost over.$79k now. Inflation is real.

    What would you pick between a 718 GTS 2.5T and a M2 competition?

    • @MaxSpeedMike
      @MaxSpeedMike  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have not been in an m2 competition yet, but I have been in an n55 M2. Great cars. The competition has the S55 and while that motor is amazing for performance, it just sounds like crap. And sound for me is a really big part of the driving experience. If I were to get an m2, it'd be the M2 with the n55. Not as fast as the s55 but sounds amazing and still has a lot of room for power.
      Between the n55 m2 and this, I'd take this. Porsche makes their cars drive like precision instruments and this car is no exception! The m2 will be more of a "let's get sideways" car whereas the 718 gts 2.5 is a more direct feeling driving experience. You can also make amazing power on these with a stage 1 tune as Sam mentioned!

    • @mregfx5308
      @mregfx5308 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive had both and id pick the M2 all day long. The GTS 4 pot sounds terrible imo, i had a 2019 with OPF / particle filters - no good sound from exhausts, engine. Handling of the Porsche is amazing and better than the M2, but i guess its what you want from a car.

    • @lolowong439
      @lolowong439 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      718 GTS hands down. Transmission responds way faster, the LSDs are of two different classes.
      Sound-wise, the M2 comp also doesn't sound good.
