      @Juanito G What you're saying is nonsense and it's totally biased. Chad never gets the respect he deserves, Dave walked in on the Nevermind recording and basically just re-did what Chad had already done. And most importantly Chad had always been humble about his time in Nirvana and has never shown any animosity towards the band, he always says he's happy to have played a small part in something that became so big later on.

    • @niaboctruk138
      @niaboctruk138 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@rive3051 but Dave re-did the drums and added his touches/ style and then Nevermind blew up. Even Dave at the Rock N Roll hall of fame induction ceremony gave Chad credit. I think it's just preference. I personally like how Dave goes so hard on the drums. But all people that were in the band played a part. Dave also added backing vocals which I think helped nevermind reach the next level. But that is my opinion.

    If we think about it, Buzz Osborne was the one that got them successful. Kurt and Krist met after Buzz introduced them to one another at Aberdeen High School. Then Buzz introduced Kurt and Krist to Dave. Don’t know how the band would’ve happened without him.

    the first time I ever saw Nirvana "Live" was on SNL in '92, you see Dave Grohl just killing it from the get go, I remember being blown away by his intensity and simple setup, dont forget in those days hair metal and 200 piece drum kits ruled. legend has it he broke a drumstick in the first few seconds of smells like teen spirit.....if you never saw it, you gotta see it, teen spirit snl 92

    • @alukuhito
      @alukuhito 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      By 1992, hair metal was definitely dying out, even in the North American white suburbs. Most kids had gone "alternative" by then. You have to remember just how big Disintegration was when it came out, which was 1989. New Order was a huge band. All sorts of electronic music, including Depeche Mode, who were already veterans by that point. For some, this music was too new and strange, so non-Nirvana grunge filled that spot - Pearl's Jam, Soundgarten, Alice's Chains, etc. Nirvana was the band that brought everyone together - undeniable rock for everyone. Somehow fresh, yet keeping the spirit of rock. It was alternative, yet it was classic. It was metal, but it was punk. It was noisey, but it was melodic. They were the last great rock band, and died off just as the internet was becoming a thing. They were the last of an era in rock.

    David Eric Grohl (Warren, Ohio, 14 de enero de 1969) es un músico multiinstrumentista estadounidense de rock. Saltó a la fama a comienzos de los años 1990 como batería de la icónica banda de grunge Nirvana. En 1994, tras la muerte de Cobain y el fin de Nirvana, formó otra banda, Foo Fighters, siendo él en un principio el único miembro y más tarde el vocalista, guitarrista y compositor.

      @The SNES Man Except Mudhoney were already breaking up as Steve Turner was going back to school in the fall of 1990. After being made a fool of by Kurt and Krist who lead him to believe he was Nirvana's new drummer Danny eventually joined The Screaming Trees for a short while. Mudhoney then reformed after Steve changed his mind in early 1991. All of this is covered in the official Mudhoney documentary from a few years back. Peters was none too impressed with Kurt and Krist's lack of honesty.

      Chad was good at creating but not so much at executing ther parts he created. A good drummer makes a band ebb and flow. Chad just wasn't smooth. I say this as a drummer and guitarist myself and having personal experience in the songwriting and performing end of things. Sometimes drummers just don't fit. They're the hardest part of the band to secure. So many issues with drummers over the years. Chad's the Pete Best of Nirvana. Lol. Close but no cigar. I found that drummers who play other instruments write for the song and drummers that don't have a harder time. Really any musician that plays multiple instruments in my experience does better in a band setting. They tend to be well rounded and level headed.
