Scott is a smooth and seamless player. Hi way of playing always great me a pleasure to listen to. He always careful to play a note he is never in a harry to drive the message home with a note. He plays notes that ensures him control and leadership of his ideas.
Thanks Giorgio for Scotts bio. Have become a great admirer of him through the young band, St Andrue Jazz Band. He I agree, is the smoothest and yes, could have been a regular with Ellington had he been born soon enough. As far as playing with SAJB, besides fun with all the kids(now young adults many), Barcelona not a bad place to hang out (as long as your careful these days). Another great sax guest at SAJB is Luigi Grasso, chk him out. Great piece, thanks again. Hi to Scott
Awesome, thanks for sharing. Just love how Scott plays, he's definitely my hero on tenor sax. Also, very curious why the guitar player has tape over the Epiphone name on the headstock. I'm fairly certain it is the Epiphone Broadway model which is a great guitar actually.
Probably because I'm old, but as good as these guys play and as much as I like On Green Dolphin Street, this one is 12 minutes long, but then if everyone else likes it, I'll just play it in chapters.😀
The Max Gallo group is a very fine group of jazz musicians always swinging and the addition of the great Scott Hamilton makes for great listening. But I guess jazz is just not popular specially with the young who much prefer the easy noise of pop. .

He may have an endorsement with another maker and contractually cannot be seen playing another guitar
Hes the natural successor to Stan Getz....his lines are great ...rarely repeats himself..i feel he could play all night long..just on one tune!!!!
