I remember I was playing badminton with my friend, Cheryl when the announcement of the death Elvis Presley. Cheryl's sister came outside bawling because she loved him, and even had tickets to see him in concert that night.
Fun video! For the stained glass parrot, it's easy to glue a little metal jewelry connector to the top of his head and attach a piece of clear thread hanger.
I made one of the cloth nativity sets that I made years ago when my kids were small. It was for them to play with. They loved it and now my grandkids love playing with it.
I made one too that had rice in the bottom. It was in an article in Woman’s day or Family Circle that came with the pattern . I remember the article saying kids were always told “Don’t touch” nativity sets. That struck a cord with me. I do think the Fisher Price sets are cute. But there’s something about handmade ones that are memories just as you said.
Just thought I'd throw my guess in the pot... I believe the "This is not a dry dock" plaque means it's not "dry" as in a "dry" county where you cannot buy alcohol. I think the sign is saying liquor is available on the dock (at a marina). :o)
Funny llama fact…I spent over five weeks in two trips to Ecuador. The first trip I saw one Llama tied up on the side of the road just out side of Quito. Even with extensive travel throughout the country never saw another one. A few years later I moved to Ohio and a farm had three of them. One black one brown and one white. They were in walking distance from my house!
My husband has been to Ecuador many times and brought us jackets made from Alpacas. I thought they were the same as llamas. He never saw any either because he said they’re up in the highlands, not so much where he was. I’ve seen more here too on a friends farm
Sadly I agree with you on the dolls. Just the other day I found an old composition doll at the Goodwill. She had to be from the early 30’s/40’s. Just picking her up you could feel the history of the doll. I e-bayed her and the similar dolls were only $8 & that was the top price. I actually felt really sad when I put her back. I don’t collect dolls so better to leave her for somebody who will really appreciate her, hopefully.
Questions, questions, questions... oh my! The idea of what you do has been in the back of my mind for some time, and when I happened to fall upon your video while watching an artist the other day, I immediately watched it (and many others since!). I am a retired teacher with illnesses that require me to keep an open schedule because I never know how I'll feel on a given day. As one of my hobbies, I love thrifting. Although I admit that I can afford to buy new once in a while when something needs replacing or I would like to have a new... sweater, let's say, over the past twenty years, I have chosen to often clothe myself and some of my family members through second-hand, good, brand-name clothing. In the past five years, it is 90% of the time that I find myself leaning that way. Over the past number of years of shopping for Christmas, birthdays, etc., I have also chosen thrifted items, in addition to the new, as I ease others into a new and important mindset. I believe the concept of your work is important. Bravo! While reducing our consumption, I think it's critical for all of us to seriously consider giving Mother Earth a break by learning to reuse and recycle. In times like these, I assume there aren't that many people who don't need/want to save money when buying necessities, gifts, decor, etc. In the end, whether it's Facebook's Marketplace, Craig's List, and the like, or consignment stores, yard sales, and a variety of stores with used merchandise, I believe there is money to be saved by the buyer, and money to be made by the seller. May I please ask a few pertinent questions that keep rattling around in my head? 😉😆 1. Do you place your items for sale on eBay in the "Auctions" category, or do you price items for sale? If you put them in the Auctions, do you ever put a reserve price on any extra-special finds? 2. On what websites do you research today's going value of individual items? Do you use eBay solely or are there names of certain others you are willing to share? 3. You made mention (in one of your other videos) that you had just picked up eBay packing materials. Are they mandatory for eBay sellers to use, or are they mainly chosen by sellers for the sake of convenience? 3. What approximate percentage of your total earnings do the packing materials absorb? 4. At the end of your videos, you kindly share the current value of the items you choose in that day's treasure hunt. Is the dollar amount you post the going rate and what you expect to earn, or does it represent the amount earned when the item has actually sold? Thank you so much for sharing your shopping trips with us! How wise of you to film your hunts. 😊 I thoroughly enjoy the surprise and intrigue of some of the items you choose, and I'm learning from you some of the popular names to look for, which I appreciate. With gratitude and a healthy dose of curiosity, yours truly, Linda 🇨🇦
Lol I thought you had added a ship fog horn sound for emphasizes after finding the "this isn't a dry dock" sign. (Furniture being moved). Adapters are fairly cheap for that record player
Danni, the clear glass dome or cloche could have been the dome for the apple cheese board you put in your cart. I have several vintage cheese trays I’ve collected over the last year that came with the dome. I’m pretty sure but the dome cloche are used now in vignettes as I also have many cloches that I add to my decor.
My mom made that cloth nativity for my kids, including adding glitter highlights. She didnt finish the base of the stable and I’m currently sewing that up. Congrats on your new discount!
Hello Dani, I wish you and Rachel and Noah a very merry and blessed Christmas, and a very healthy and happy new year. i know you don't like comments about your looks, but I have to tell you I love the frame of your glasses. I have the same frame so I'd better love it, LOL.
The grandma and grandpa shelf sitter is a fast and easy 30 dollars together . I wish I could had grabbed for my mom also the wooden ducky. Thank you so much for your content
The flying pig reminded me of youtuber reseller Dagney w/ Flying Pigs. When you picked up that boat thing & someone moved furniture across the floor, it sounded just like you put in a soundtrack of a boat's fog horn 🤣 & I wasn't looking @ my screen when you matter-of-factly said, "there's poo(h) on the shelf" & i thought, surely not & why is she so nonchalant about it & looked up while you were picking up a pooh bear figurine 🤣🤣🤣 Congrats on being in the old girls club. As my dearly departed British mum used to say, "age is just a state of mind".
"And they call it puppy love!" 🎉 "I've got you🎉 Babe!"🎉 "Hot stuff!"🎉Fortunetly I absolutely "Dig" your over-the- top- "Fun"- Video!😂Thank you for this awesome- fun video! I know I will have to watch it several times over and over! So many treasures you found "Garage Sailing!" Thank you for your cheerful, kindness, making-it- fun! Enjoyed shopping along with you!🎉😂 Learning more every video! 🎉"Thank You!"❤
Love watching your videos my friend!! You always find cool things!! Love you and your channel!! You are a very sweet person!! God bless you and your family!! Much love!! 🙏🙏💖💖💜💜🥰🥰❤️❤️💙💙🌺🌺🌹🌹😊😊🐢🐢🐢🐢🦜🦜🦜🦜🦜🦜🦜🐢🐢🐢
Great finds! :) loving the discount! Also that clear glass cover you said was too heavy probably goes to that cheese board you got. My grandmother had one and it had a cover like that.
@The NICHE Lady the cloche only covered the ceramic area, to keep the cheese (or cheeseball) fresh. Some of the ceramic pieces are removable so they can be refrigerated prior to serving :)
Hi Danni. Hope your birthday, and your party, were both terrific! And " Congrats!" on now being able to use the senior discount at Goodwill! Which reminds me to tell you how lucky you are that the Goodwills in Vegas have senior discounts every day, and that they're 40 percent off. Here in Baltimore, the senior discount is only 30 percent and only on Wednesdays. Also, Baltimore area Goodwills no longer have daily color tag discounts. The only discount offered at all is the once-a-week 30 percent off for seniors. So count your many discount blessings, my thrifting friend! :o) Oh, and... Merriest of Christmases to you and yours!
If you go back to that Goodwill soon and the blue and white vase at 22.41 is still there, pick it up and I will buy it from you. (just before you get to Pooh on the shelf.)
If you can send her an email asking that it would be better because she sometimes doesn't get to read these comments for a day or two. Also This is a day old too. Instructions are in the description. I don't think though she will go out tomorrow being Christmas eve, but who knows :
Happy holidays! You passed on the Pooh letter L. I wonder what your Goodwill charges? I pick them up whenever I see them as they sell well and are bread and butter for me.
If a piece I like (example-the small rectangular grayish serving plate that had flowers painted on at about 20:35) I’d happily buy hobbiest or studio pieces during one of your live sales.
Husband says a lot of the framed pictures are cycled out from the Casinos but now and again you can find that Needle in a haystack, like I did and nearly tripped over my own foot to get- its a framed Hawaiian gal by known artist Pegge Hopper called " Apricot Summer", love it especially for 50% off blue tag sale! Happy Thrifting!
We had a garage sale years ago and had antique dolls that sold fast. We figured out later we had probably “given” them away for nothing, but we had zero idea of their worth. My MIL had passed away suddenly so she couldn’t tell us anything about them
I made that cloth nativity set for my children about 30 years ago. When the boys were elementary age, they started yelling "Baby Jesus football!" and tossing it back and forth. They have their own children now, and Baby Jesus football is a great story. I still have the set.
Rights of passage. At 21, it was getting that first legal alcoholic drink. At 55, it's the Senior Discount. What a great Goodwill to give 40% off! Here in mid-PA it's 10% off! Not much, but I'll take anything I can get. Though, it's not as exciting as when I turned 21, getting that little bit off always gives me a little thrill. Oh, by the way, Happy Birthday, Danni!
The Somayaki mug is worth about $25. It's larger than most. I have quite a few pieces of this Japanese insulated cut out china... tea cups, cookie plates, tea pot, cream and sugar and an ashtray [I don't smoke and neither does anyone I know... but hey, it's pretty]
I remember I was playing badminton with my friend, Cheryl when the announcement of the death Elvis Presley. Cheryl's sister came outside bawling because she loved him, and even had tickets to see him in concert that night.
Maybe that Dry Dock sign was wall decor for a home/boat bar area for someone who likes nautical decor.
It was also a play on words. If someone was serving cocktails while their boat was sitting at the Marina
Fun video! For the stained glass parrot, it's easy to glue a little metal jewelry connector to the top of his head and attach a piece of clear thread hanger.

those glass domes are so useful for covering other things. I have a couple of different sizes.
I just adore your happy and sweet personality. I love upbeat people. You have so much knowledge. Wishing you a healthy and happy life.
i loved the baby doll. reminded me of my great grandma. she knitted lots of doll clothes.
Just thought I'd throw my guess in the pot... I believe the "This is not a dry dock" plaque means it's not "dry" as in a "dry" county where you cannot buy alcohol. I think the sign is saying liquor is available on the dock (at a marina). :o)
The Fresca doll is amazing!!

Dry dock is where you pull your boat from the water for repairs or to store for winter.
I'm in love with the turquoise pig... that's so 🥰
Happy Birthday, and welcome to the 40% club 👏
20:19. I think there was a 2nd pixie just to the right of the one you found.
Dry dock is when the boat is removed from water and prepared for winter. Also used for repairs
As a boater, I'd say this sign was a tongue in cheek reference to the boat being fully stocked with wine and beer.
I was screaming at the TV. When I saw that stocking with the letter F. Never find anything with my initial on it. Great haul!
Aw poor you, ya it's hard when you can't find anything for you!
My granddaughter, Quinn, feels the same way...
the pink flamingo butter dish JEFFERY!!!
Purple base glassware could be used as vases
Sadly I agree with you on the dolls. Just the other day I found an old composition doll at the Goodwill. She had to be from the early 30’s/40’s. Dannie. Did u forget about the cups to go with tea pot & sauces

I wish I knew how to mark this so The NICHE Lady will see it!
Is anyone able to assist me? Thank you!
Another enjoyable video. Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas. 🥰
That dome probably fit on your cheese and cracker tray. Mine did.
Wow! I sewed that same nativity set for my boys in the late 80’s!
Happy Holidays to You, Carrie and all you families!
❤ Owl picture. Piano desk said it’s real cute even though it is plastic it’s still real cute.
👍 good show,. This GW. Has good prices,. & Super staff to keep shelves organized ,clean. The coyote-cactus picture is soooo pretty 😍
Merry CHRISTmas!
Lol I thought you had added a ship fog horn sound for emphasizes after finding the "this isn't a dry dock" sign. (Furniture being moved). Adapters are fairly cheap for that record player
Funny. I did, too!!!
I love the yellow temp-tation dishes!
I really like that Black & White Chair Portrait! So cool!

Nope it was not the same size or shape - sure wish it had been!
Loved the Flamingo butter dish
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 to you and yours
My mom made that cloth nativity for my kids, including adding glitter highlights. She didnt finish the base of the stable and I’m currently sewing that up. Congrats on your new discount!
I actually hand stitched that exact nativity set a few years ago. It’s a fabric pattern
That wooden pig!!! 🤩
Hello Dani, I wish you and Rachel and Noah a very merry and blessed Christmas, and a very healthy and happy new year. i know you don't like comments about your looks, but I have to tell you I love the frame of your glasses. I have the same frame so I'd better love it, LOL.

Hi Danni, looking forward to getting shop done!
Thank you! MERRY CHRISTMAS! ☺️💐🇬🇧
the yellow happy face mug is probably vintage and goes for $50 on ebay.
Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!
Merry Christmas let's get shop done ☃️🎁🥂🎄👍
LOL when you looked at the dry dock thing the noise was perfect. Like, here comes the boat it was attacked to, blowing its horn.
Love the Flamingo Butter Dish! I have a lot of Flamingo items that I have collected. Merry Christmas!❤❤❤
The colorful pastel cup with stripes on it, beside one you picked up looked just like a Vicki Carroll that could good for pretty good 💕
The turntable was a good decor item I liked it.
I really enjoy your lone shopping trips, love hearing your wisdom nuggets. It’s always fun to get a discount.
I love your GoodWills … So many items i see in your videos I’d love to buy for myself lol or gifts. Thank you for sharing.
Llamas are popular with Knitters! My friend received a tall llama cat tree for Xmas!

Great finds! :) loving the discount! Also that clear glass cover you said was too heavy probably goes to that cheese board you got. My grandmother had one and it had a cover like that.
Cheese board was not the right size or shape
It is :) the only part that gets covered is the circular cheese side.
@The NICHE Lady the cloche only covered the ceramic area, to keep the cheese (or cheeseball) fresh. Some of the ceramic pieces are removable so they can be refrigerated prior to serving :)
The red mosaic tile tray you missed under the clam shell serving bowl can sell any where from $60 to 250.00+ dollars.
timestamp? Would like to see what you see!
@@TheNICHELady To help you out, the red tile round tray is at 14:39 timestamp. Go Seniors!
Time stamp 14:53 sec
I was really hoping you found the teacups for the Wedgwood set.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Here's wishing you the 2022 that you choose to create.
I would love to have pink butter dish.I love love pink.
Danni I buy those clear heavy cheese domes and I use them as clothes to start plants under
If a piece I like (example-the small rectangular grayish serving plate that had flowers painted on at about 20:35) I’d happily buy hobbiest or studio pieces during one of your live sales.
I have a mighty need for that Easter Daschund plate!
Merry Christmas
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family
Loved the black truck !!!!!!

Have your self a MERRY CHRISTMAS
Oh my goodness. Do you still have the pink flamingo butter dish?!
I made that cloth nativity set for my children about 30 years ago. When the boys were elementary age, they started yelling "Baby Jesus football!" and tossing it back and forth. They have their own children now, and Baby Jesus football is a great story. I still have the set.
The doll.... I just want to know why??? LOL! Fun video!
I know you said that they didn’t feel like good quality but I loved those square tall glasses with a bit of purple..💜
I just adored that fruit bowl.
Danni , Honey at The phonograph It usually only spins If you Pick up the Arm to place on the Album 🧐
I wonder if the blue pig is meant to hold something? I noticed the notches in the ears. Happy belated birthday and Merry Christmas.
Rights of passage. At 21, it was getting that first legal alcoholic drink. At 55, it's the Senior Discount. What a great Goodwill to give 40% off! Here in mid-PA it's 10% off! That clothtique thing was worth checking out, I believe you will find they are high value whatever it is. Worth from $ 60 to $100+
Have a very Merry Christmas🎄💕🎅🏻
The Somayaki mug is worth about $25. It's larger than most. I have quite a few pieces of this Japanese insulated cut out china... tea cups, cookie plates, tea pot, cream and sugar and an ashtray [I don't smoke and neither does anyone I know... but hey, it's pretty]
