Hunting for MID CENTURY MODERN at 16 thrift stores!

Yeah, today’s my first day ever seen your videos and I agree with everyone way too fast and you totally must stay what look like a rimini Blue Bitossi Italian pottery lamp. My god, the prices are insane!!! Ive been😢 "thrift collecting" (hoarding, actually) for 30 years. Things used to be so much cheaper, but there wasnt nearly as much quantity of inventory.
I used to pick up Herman Miller fibreglass shell chairs, Eames dcw's, acres of Danish teak, Reglor and Majestic and Laurel lamps, yards of gorgeous barkcloth and other draperies, rugs, appliances, you name it.....those were the days. Thrift stores have gotten outrageously expensive in the past five years. There is still a lot of quality merchandise, esp. Antique porcelain, pottery, glass and textiles... but these items have practically zero value on today's market. In the meantime, i have warehouse space and I can hoard.

I feel bad for you....those prices are total BS. These are donations and cost nothing and these thrift stores are getting incredibly greedy and it's truly sad. I hate what was once a fun pastime has become a blood sport that drains your bank account.
