This is an amazing museum. As a fan of Cryptozoology and Maine native, I've been here twice and am planning on going there for a third time (they actually have a bigger building now!). The first time I went I actually got a guided tour from Loren Coleman (famous Cryptozoologist and creator/owner of this museum) and even got a book signed. Greatest birthday ever.

As an amateur cryptozoologist, thanks for this. Sadly my area of the world is devoid of any evidence of well known cryptids but I keep hoping to discover a new one one day.

Concerning the puffer fish or blow fish shown hanging from the ceiling. I once saw a person dump his dip net into the water Seagulls snatched everything they could get a grip on in a few seconds. They left the inflated fish because it was too big to hold or swallow. When the gulls left the little fish quickly deflated went under water and swam off.

Isn't this Loren Coleman's museum? I heard Mr. Coleman give a speech many years ago at a Cryptozoology conference in Greenville, SC. He's definitely a cool man. In case you're interested, Dan Bell has a video or two on one of his channels on Mothman and Point Pleasant.

I’m in nearby NH& never heard of this place. Not that I’d visit as I have little faith that humans can tell the truth, but cool to know it’s close by.
Also I want to see REAL bones of animals not renditions. And not of an animal with a mutation- a GENUINE REAL artifact of a genuine real crypto. Yeah I’m waiting..........
