I just found out about this place a few days ago and am sad to learn it closed in November...hearing you call it the best curiosities museum is like pouring salt in a wound. Great video and it looks like it was a truly awesome place

I live a couple mins away from Gettysburg so I get to go to museums and take walks around all the time. They are pretty interesting.

Wow!!! This is yet another place my husband and I definitely have to visit! Freaky and Fascinating...thank you so much for this Jacob...roadside attractions are a real favorite of mine. I have been made aware of so many more through your videos! It's nice to see one new and/or refurbished rather than old, delapidated an closing down. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!! It's about time that some of the sideshow finds are recognized as being the artwork they really are! (I am betting that it cost more than a dime to get in...lol)

I've lived in PA all my life. Visited Gettysburg LOTS of times. I will have to check out this museum sometime in the near future. I definitely look forward to your vlogs. Very intriguing!

I think Jackalopes are my favorite mythical taxidermied creatures.🐰I imagine they would hop around almost like the dog from the Grinch cartoon after the Grinch dresses him all up. Lol! But seriusly, that mummified head set high up was the creepiest thing!😱

Imagine seeing the process of how all these oddities were made. Just some guy mutilating animal corpses and sticking them together. It's grotesque, but I guess the animals don't really mind at that point.
Actually it’s kind of funny when you think about it - how anyone who went to Barnum’s circus could have possibly believed a monkey sewn to a fish looks even remotely like a mermaid! 😅

Oh hey, Daniel Lambert was actually from Leicester ( Where I live), he only moved to London briefly to perform as an oddity, then he got tired of it and headed back to Leicester. His chair is on display at a museum ( Atleast I think it is... that museum got renovated.)
My town isn't know for much other than making socks, finding a dead king in a carpark and a giant fat guy. But we're proud of our giant fat guy.
It's kinda weird that he's actually the logo on the sign.
And now I have a t-shirt with him on it!
I must say I never watched anything like theses kind of videos before. But I saw The Carpetbaggers videos about Fun town and boom I was hooked. And now all I do is look forward to all of your videos. So keep them coming can't weight to see all the ones from New England. I really can't weight to see the Salem MA ones. Did you go to the all the old houses there?

calf w/no legs was sad. Gettysburg is highly haunted because of the civil war. the music in there was bizarre.

I really hate clowns. I mean I sweat if I have to go near them. Awesome gaffes, some of the best I've seen. I love Homer Tate's work. The fur trouts usually have silver fox fur. Whether the shrunken head is from a microcephalic person or not doesn't matter because they sewed the mouth, neck, eyes, and nose closed and peeled the flesh away from the skull and sewed up the back and boiled until it shrunk down to nothing and they wore them on there belts. Without the skull and brain you wouldn't know if the person had microcephaly. I'd definitely go to this museum if I ever go to Pennsylvania!

There's a dime museum up in Long beach Washington, it's one of my favorites to go to,you should do a meet up there sometime.

Ya it is a great place. The reason why I moved hear was when I was a little girl I would vacation hear and when we had to leave I would be crying my eyes out. And I told my mom and dad I would live in Maine. Where in Maine did you end up going? And is there any place that me and my husband should go and see? And I'm glade you made it home ok.
Now this is a cool place. I love it! The big question is...Where in the hell did he get all this stuff?? I went to school with Turtle Boy...was a great guy I didnt know he passed!
