Unsure why but very difficult to hear the audio even w/ youtube volume and laptop volume at highest level. Thank you for sharing this information - very helpful in preparing for what is to come!
Survived the impostor syndrome and got the PhD just to face the syndrome again because I could not find a job with my PhD 😥, it's validating my old syndrome.
Not much I can do about that now, unfortunately, but I'll try to adjust the mic volume next time... I did a sound check at the start and everyone said the sound was Ok, but I'm going to record the same talk with a live audience this week and I'll publish that version next week

Thank you James, starting my PhD in a couple of weeks and this is so helpful to be aware of 🙏🏼
Thank you for doing this talk. I found it very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Please let us know next time on a community post when you’re live 👏🏾👏🏾🎉🎉
Omg I can't believe I missed this live 😭
Unsure why but very difficult to hear the audio even w/ youtube volume and laptop volume at highest level. Thank you for sharing this information - very helpful in preparing for what is to come!
That's right. I had the same challenge.
Noted for next time. I'll be recording the same talk in person on Tuesday (and will publish on TH-cam a week later)
i miss this live as well
Survived the impostor syndrome and got the PhD just to face the syndrome again because I could not find a job with my PhD 😥, it's validating my old syndrome.
You'll get through it! I had the same problem and ended up working in a bar for a few months as the most overqualified bartender in the city
I missed it 😥
Sound ok for me
The sound is too low
Not much I can do about that now, unfortunately, but I'll try to adjust the mic volume next time... I did a sound check at the start and everyone said the sound was Ok, but I'm going to record the same talk with a live audience this week and I'll publish that version next week
Also... there should be closed captions available soon (TH-cam is auto-generating them so maybe check back later)
