If you suffer from something like the impostor syndrome, I hope this short video helps you. First, by recognizing what this is, then by realizing that all kinds of people have the same feeling at some point, and then, finally, how you may overcome it. I'd love to hear your story in the comments, if you have similar experiences.
I was delaying watching this video because I thought that there is nothing you could say, that I had not heard before. Now, that I am preparing for my postdoc interview on Tuesday the imposter syndrome hit particularly hard. So, I watched your video and I have to say I am so glad I did. This image is so eye-opening. Thank you so much for sharing it. I never thought about it this way but it actually makes a lot of sense. I know what will be on the first page every notebook from now on.
Thanks so much for writing this note; I am very happy to hear that you found this to be useful!! When I saw that cartoon, it had an immediate effect on me....I'm really happy I came across this explanation.
I’ve finished my master study last September, first class with honor degree, and also have got the same position in my B.Sc study. Although that, I kept telling myself that it’s nothing and you’re a fraud. But it ended up when I coincidentally found that I have imposter syndrome that was all reason why I don’t have a feeling of satisfaction. Thank u prof! It’s really helpful!
Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you came to the realization that you suffered from this. A lot of people have struggled with this, myself included.... 🙂 Glad you found the video helpful!
