  • Welcome to my TH-cam channel! In this video, I will be sharing evidence-based insights on how I counsel my athletes when it comes to addressing ulnar collateral ligament tears at the elbow, specifically focusing on platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
Ulnar collateral ligament tears are prevalent among athletes participating in baseball, javelin throw, or any throwing sport. These tears are classified into three grades - 1 to 3. Grade 3 represents a complete tear, while grade 2 indicates a partial tear.
The main question we will tackle in this video is whether PRP therapy can potentially eliminate the need for surgery in cases of grade 3 ulnar collateral ligament tears. Furthermore, we'll explore whether PRP therapy can facilitate a quicker return to sport.
By providing an evidence-based answer to these questions, I aim to equip athletes, coaches, and sports medicine professionals with the necessary information to make informed decisions regarding the treatment of ulnar collateral ligament tears.
Join me in this video as we dive into the effectiveness of PRP therapy and its potential benefits for athletes facing these types of injuries. Don't forget to hit the like button, subscribe to my channel, and turn on the notification bell to stay updated with the latest videos.

Great info! Thank you! Is it normal to experience tenderness and pain level of 1-4/10 while performing the rehab exercises during the strength building of the conservative nonoperative rehab process? Thanks again. Most informative video I have seen on UCL injury options.
