There is one more krithi in Dhanyasi composed byveena kuppeiyer 'Evarunnaru nannu brova' in adithala which song taught by my guru sri MS shelvapullai iyengar who was sangeethabhushanam from Annamalai university .(First Bach :1932to1936).This is just for information. Thanks for loading .
The story of ragas, the stellar selection of compositions, interspersed with some of the narratives that led to the songs and the emphasis on what are the interesting features to listen out for (like so many examples of swaraksharas) - well, Vande Sangeetam is back in its full glory! I really get goosebumps when I listen to some of the unexpected but amazing ways in which Dikshitar used to string multiple phrases side by side to incorporate the ragamudra ( Rangapura Vihara, SriKalhasteesa)...the explanation of "Dhanyasi" in Mangaladevataya invoked the same feeling. Beautiful rendition, equally beautiful explanation! All in all, I am in bliss that this series returned. Thank you for the mesmerizing presentation.
Namaskarams to your knowledge sir. Your rendition of Mayura natham has been one of my favorites. Thank you for giving us endless hours of joy through your singing and this beautiful series.
Wonderful capsule of Dhanyasi spanning multiple composers, including anecdotes and highlights of outstanding phrases. 👌 Thank you sir 🙏 namaskarams. Best wishes to continue this series and enlighten us this year as well.
There is a popular belief that two women can't live under the same roof. Is this true or false... I don't know. But the financial problems faced great composers and poets make me doubt, whether Lakshmi Devi and Saraswati Devi have a similar problem to reside under one roof! KAruNya Rasa is conveyed best by dhanyasi. Maybe two hours of KAruNya Rasa is too much for many people. 🥺 Thank you for this enlightening episode.🙏
Again a wonderful post, never knew Dhanyasi had so much to offer. Namaskarams to your knowledge sir
