  • “Blessings” is a documentary by Bayer about the power of partnerships and collaboration and the resilience of smallholder grain farmers in South Africa. Through the Grain SA Farmer Development Programme, thousands of farmers have graduated to different levels of success - each reaching new goals as they learn and earn. They are not only building their own wealth but also contribute significantly to rural economies and food security for themselves and their communities. “Blessings” is a tribute to farmers and aims to be an inspiration, especially to newcomers to grain production in rural South Africa.
Bayer is one of several industry partners that supports this initiative by Grain SA. Through the stories of farmers, this powerful documentary showcases the benefits of partnerships in the agricultural sector between agricultural companies, parastatals and organisations such as Grain SA. Most of all, it celebrates the commitment and grit of farmers.
The documentary was funded by Bayer and produced by No-Line Productions.

The Mthethwa story must be shared…. It is impressive how the father left the legacy for his children.
