Great info! I’m sure the more independent you can be with your little farm, the better off you will be financially as well as taking pride in your life style. The same goes with processing your alpaca wool! You guys are doing great!
I would never have guessed that you would have done so many hours. It’s good that they are replacing the two parts. It’s great they have a good customer service. I’m not surprised you saved so much by purchasing and milking your own wood. I still recall the day you put this together. I’m glad you love it as I think it makes up for how much of a pain in the butt it was to put together.
I'm in the market for a mill as well, mainly for hobby use and to mill up the ash trees on my property that are dying, and went back and forth between the 122, 126, and 130. Since my tractor is a little smaller than yours and most my trees are under 20", I think I've decided on the 122 as well. I figure if I need to mill an occasional larger log, I can use my Stihl MS661 and get a longer bar and Alaskan chainsaw mill and do it on the ground where the log sits.
Great review, I just picked up a slightly used HM122 with only 20 hours on my local facebook marketplace for 1400 bucks !! Can't wait to start milling. We are in need of some bigger out buildings for our goats, and maybe a new chicken coop. It will pay for it self in no time.
@@OldReddingFarm just picked mine up last night !! Got for 1300 bucks in person. So I can now order up the 6 foot extension. It also cam with 5 brand new blades too. For a small mill, it’s a powerhouse for the money. And good build / design .. Its a better version of the harbor freight mill. As you mentioned I love harbor freight too..
Hi! Ive been watching your videos and I think it would be so awesome if you could sell your carded alpaca roving! noone really sels it and some people would really love to spin or needle felt with it! great videos:)
We are going to be asking from a mill for some of that so we can try to make some fiber ourselves. I'd def. be open to selling some of that but would need to do some research on pricing because I have NO idea

Chad from Adler Farm sent us over. Said you were very knowable in what you do
Thanks, that was really helpful.and very well articulated
Very useful review, you got me in the feels when you said you used WHITE OAK for fencing beams!, but I digress. Thank you Sir with extra ear holes!
You know I get a lot of comments about my ears, yours is the best of all time. I appreciate you.
Love these videos. Contemplating a sawmill myself!
You should! As long as you have a way to lift the logs I would 10/10 recommend

Save your money for a little bit longer and buy a Wood Mizer brand saw mill. Lol
