    Scottie took his criticisms and worked on his game.
    Bronny just blocks out the noise.
    One important thing older players give their sons: No matter what the name, the grind stays the same

    I don’t have a problem with Bronny. I feel like he’s been set up. He should have stayed at least another year at USC and developed his game further. He’s dad saying that he’s better than half the league didn’t do him any favours either.

      him and Liangelo ball have the same problem. They need game time, they need to go to Australia. G league is a good place for hustle players not spoilt rich kids.

      Lebron did this to him nepotism only works if the parent is advocating for it if lebron didn't gas this man he wouldn't be here he prob wouldn't have even been ranked but at the end of the day he had the chance to take another year of college to polish his game but he chose the draft instead knowing he wasn't ready now we have to wonder how long will he last when Bron retires

    I’ll OVERSTATE THE OBVIOUS… had Scottie Pippen Sr still been playing in the NBA when Scottie Pippen Jr was a freshman in college he could have very well been in Bronny’s shoes. I think the ONLY flaw in Bronny’s process is not choosing schools where he could be the full-time PG to hone his skill at a future position.

      Appreciate the support as always! Yeah honestly we are uncharacteristically bad defensively, and I can’t tell if it’s coaching or us being tired but it’s painful to watch at times. But if that’s our biggest concern I’m content because we’re still missing pieces and we are a defensive unit, just need to put the pieces together! But if we lost to another cam thomas 40 ball I could never show my face again 😂

    Bronny is getting roasted so much as a 2nd pick while Bronny is getting treated like a low 2nd round pick by the lakers. I would say bronny nepotism would of been bad if it was a 1st round pick instead of a 2nd.

    I think the difference is passion. You don’t do what Scottie did to get to where he is if you’re not willing to die working out for a chance. I don’t know if brony has that type of passion. Scottie and Peyton Pritchard are cut from the same cloth I don’t think brony is respectfully

    Scottie Pippen Jr is way better than Brony because Scottie is the almost technically the grandson of MJ. Thats how great the the GOAT MJ is!!! Scottie ain't even really related to MJ but that makes him WAY WAAAAAAAAYYY better than Lebron's offspring. Lebron is literally only barely better than MJ in assists and rebounds. CHECKMATE LBJ fans. shut the hell up wit that lebron is the goat garbage. LOL
    On a serious note - nepotism is wrong and a bad thing. Only 50% of current players are related to athletes. Meaning a lot kids who shed their blood, sweat and tears to make it the NBA are being pushed aside for Bronny. Kids who worked all their life being pushed aside. Some kid who deserves that was given to an undeserving Bronny just so his dad could say he played with son. That is absolutely disgusting.

    Everything here you have said would have point if you were also taking into consideration the coaching staff at the time for Lakers during that time period and you expected them to develop a young player and give them an actual chance instead of constantly bringing up Bronny who’s actually getting chance being of the coaching alongside The other young players in the team . Relatively lazy not taking that into account or just pushing your agenda your choice

    Calling Bronny's Late Second Round Pick an easy, golden road is a little disrespectful. He was good value for a second round pick, but the guaranteed contract is the bad aspect here. I would not have done anything different as the lakers tho

    • @JaniHoops
      @JaniHoops  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Not necessarily that aspect, but the not traveling to road g league games, the hyper publicized negotiations with his agent (which may not be his fault) and the guaranteed contract as well which takes away from a lot of that real grind and fire that builds a lot of these g league players into studs. I appreciate your comment and the feedback too! 🙏🏿

    • @datboiTimAltstadt
      @datboiTimAltstadt 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      From that perspective, I get what you mean. He certainly is everybody's darling in LA thanks to his dad. He still had a lot to overcome with the heart surgery and that tanked both his floor and development. If anything, I think he actually shows fire in his own way. Growing up rich and still ending up NBA-Talent is probably the hardest way he could have chosen his path in life.

    • @JaniHoops
      @JaniHoops  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nah that’s absolutely a valid take as well! I think that that’s what I was trying to articulate in the final part of the video, but you hit the nail on the head here too. That idea of even if you do have that fire, it’s the appearance of nepotism, and the highly publicized aspect of g league proceedings and whatnot that put a target on his back, so he isn’t even able to develop without that harsh ridicule and baseless slander! But your take is absolutely valid because bronny is a dawg.

    Y'all are only complaining about nepotism in the NBA because Black people are benefitting. There's always been nepotism in the front office and in the owner's box, why aren't you calling that out?

    • @MudThought
      @MudThought 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Yeah, I'm calling that out. But bronny get into NBA actually hurting black players who wanted to play in NBA.
      And him eating a big chunk of contract money means less money for another deserved NBA / g league players. Which most of them blacks.
      Bot to mention bronnie already rich so he doesn't need to spend his own money into blacks community. While if that money earned by another blacks player, he would spend it in his own community, no?
      So cheering for bronnie could possible hurting blacks than benefitting blacks community.

    • @BmoreAkuma
      @BmoreAkuma 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      "Other people do it all the time; why not us?" is not an argument at all. Even worse, when the decision of the black wealthy doing nepotism at the behest of affecting other black people, it makes your commentary silly.

    • @blackstanmarsh
      @blackstanmarsh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @BmoreAkuma you know, I would have been inclined to agree with you a few years ago. But, then I had a conversation with my father, who said he wished he could have secured something like that for me and my brothers. If we as Black people have the means to secure something for our families through our own connections, why wouldn't we do it? In that sense, it makes your commentary silly, because that is how a lot of F6 people have secured their families for generations
