ohh really! that is so cool! Is it common for Korean people to have the 'dating' period before becoming official? Or do you guys have an official verbal consent before getting to know each other well...?
@@modernnadeshiko6200 From my perspective, we kinda have 3 stages. 1st stage is just getting to know each other but not necessarily interested in each other, yet. 2nd stage is where both kinda have interests in each other but not yet official. We call this stage 썸 (pronounced as 'some'). The third stage is after one person does "kokuhaku" and starts going out. At this stage, we use the word 'dating'. Some still uses the word 'dating' in stage 2 but mostly in stage 3.
woww!! so interesting! thank you so much for walking through the 3 stages of dating in the Korean culture🙌 It's cool to know that you guys have 'kokuhaku' to become official too!
I think dating has similar meaning in korea, too!
