Such a beautiful woman with such an underrated and under-appreciated voice. I loved this song even before her remake of "Unforgettable" with her father in the early 90s. I was born in 1985 mind you and this song was always so beautiful. One time when I was dating this one gal, every time I was away from her for a certain amount of time, I'd sing this song to myself a lot until I saw her again. Obviously an octave lower lol. But man her voice was so amazing. I always thought of her as the adult contemporary R&B polar parallel to Aretha Franklin's in your face traditional R&B soul, both equally worthy of queen-type of classifications. Natalie always has been more easy on my eyes though. She's just gorgeous. Has the same lulling effect with her eyes and smile as she does with her voice. She didn't have to do much to give you that serenity you needed as a listener when you watched her sing. You see her face and you know you could trust your ears and heart with her talent. May she rest in peace. Now she can be with her father for eternity.
I had the great honor of seeing Natalie in her Unforgettable tour. What an incredible show...and I was with someone who I loved 'like crazy." Sadly the relationship didn't work out, but I have the wonderful memory of that concert.
