How was this scaled? It doesn’t make sense that the crayfish from mountaintops of the giants beat the ice dog, but lost to the brown dog from Caelid, then the brown dog from caelid lost to the normal crayfish from Liurnia.
The ice crayfish is significantly stronger than both the crayfish from liurnia and the dogs in Caelid.
The brown Monstrous Dog is probably the one from Dragonbarrow, which has much higher stats than the Monstrous Dogs from the rest of Caelid.
As for the Crayfish, it was probably from the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, which is also a lategame area with high enemy scaling.
@@777Electric that’s what I was thinking, but per some chart on Reddit, dragonbarrow is a couple tiers higher than the subterranean shunning grounds (dragonbarrow is one tier higher than farum azula), which is scaled pretty similarly with mountaintops, so if the brown dog from dragonbarrow was able to beat the the mountaintops crayfish, he should’ve been able to beat the shunning grounds crayfish as well.
Based on how the fight went, it seemed like stats had a bigger impact than just bad luck with AI
@@benthede2531 The Shunning Grounds and Dragonbarrow are about the same point in progression anyway, so it probably comes down to Crayfish just being a more dangerous enemy type than Monstrous Dogs overall. A chart of the stats of overlapping enemies from both areas would better illustrate how strong each variant actually is, but I don't know if it exists.

Man, I hope Fromsoft add some wacky ass animals in the dlc (if not the upcoming one, then a later one). I wanna see the runebear equivalent of an elephant, y'know? Riding through the next poison swamp and get jumpscared by a fuckin hippo command grabbing your ass, and if you dodge it, it's a multi-phase boss fight. Get skewered by a huge praying mantis, or a giant ground sloth. Surprise hostile tortoise boss, just something unexpected and interesting.

Maliketh is effectively a Knight and should be treated with the respect such a station deserves.

Actualy dragons, elden beast(no Radagon), beast clergyman(no maliketh), Night Cavelery`s horses are animals. And tachnically walking mausoleum is also animal.
@@user-lc9cv6th7y One could make the case that Elden Beast is a god, or the manifestation of one. So it may be in a different category than conventional animals. But dragons should be here, no question. The strongest Farum Azula dragons would stomp everything here.
