If this were Chaos difficulty then fine I'd understand, but just....wow this is a bit much for normal difficulty. I could also do without Mobile Armors all having this annoying AoE attack they do (be it a ground pound or a jump and slam) as they already hit unreasonably hard to begin with on normal difficulty as that makes wanting to melee attack them undesirable and that's kinda unfair to all the Melee focused Mobile Suits.... That all being said, I do enjoy the game, just they really need to dial back the damage boss enemies do. Incidentally it is always the Mobile Armors that are dumb like this.

I’ve been playing the demo and, while I like it so far, it isn’t perfect and IMO isn’t worth $60. To keep it relatively short, probably my biggest problem with the game is the lack of an English dub. Normally all Japanese would be fine, but the main story characters talk throughout the missions (full on conversations, not just quips) and reading all the subs and playing the game well at the same time is very difficult, if not impossible. So you’re likely going to end up missing some story, directions, and sense of what’s happening other than “fight robots”.
i enjoy it alot i think one of the best gundams so far is the f92? i think it is called the very fast boi that can heal itself (twice 1 going in speed mode 1 going out) whit its hyper, but that psycho zaku or whatever it is called is hella fun too
The problem with story is that a lot of dialogue/homages happen while you're fighting. And unless you're fluent in Japanese, you're gonna be focused more on fighting rather than reading subs.
exactly. thats y when i watch Anime i always go for dubs. as for this game i had to turn down the sound cause of the voices despite me actually grooving to the music
The AI partners are stupid as hell and they get down so easily they can't heal them selfs and every time I heal them they get half health back they should get full health back and they should use a heal pack to revive themselves or use it when they're really hurt bad Bandia needs to fix that problem
In a review I would like to see the full UI and how easy that is to navigate, the crafting you mentioned, the in-between parts which are not combat focused. This review was largly useless to showing what the game is in all its parts.
If you're familiar with gundam as a whole the SD style isn't really that odd a choice. There's an entire universe that's SD. I got used to the style playing ms saga on ps2.
I don’t know why they went with the sort of Funko Pop toddlers toy aesthetic but I do know this, if I catch a plane and go slap them for it they’ll say I’M the crazy one and throw ME in jail. It’s a crazy, topsy-turvy work-a-day world I guess. But seriously WHY?? Is it because the idea of piloting a 30 story mobile gundam suit in to battle against equally humongous opponents isn’t fun? Did they change what ‘fun’ means? Did the pitch meeting end with “Ok guys that is great stuff! Fantastic! But just one adjustment appearance-wise, before we ship just take all the awesome out, ok?”
The chibi style has been a deterrent for me up until now but the gameplay looks so good i think i need to try. It upsetting that bandai namco keep trying to make western releases of the gundam IP and we never bite. Gundam Evolution sadly didnt last long. Hopefully they give up on us.
Never really cared for the anime. I always skipped it until dragon ball z came on the tv. But this game is so fun. Just finished playing the demo and im definitely buying a hard copy.

Mine has to be barbatos 6th form I named mine angry boi
I hope they remake zoids after this
They did. The last zoid game was 2 years ago on switch. It was sub par.
@@ashmanchester2611 probably why they didnt try it again
I enjoyed the old Gundam Wing series with Heero and all his friends. Rolena was some prominent girl.
If you don't like the SD art style, GB4 is out now so you can just switch over to that game.
Like how actual gameplay wasn't used but used trailer footage instead.
No he used gameplay??? What are you talking about
@@markspc1285 all the footage was from the trailers for the game. There was no footage of him playing the game himself.
@@ashmanchester2611 he showed parts throughout, majority was trailers though
@@markspc1285 No, double checked. All of it is trailers.
Game blocks video recording lol
so its a xenoverse story copy
The AI partners are stupid as hell and they get down so easily they can't heal them selfs and every time I heal them they get half health back they should get full health back and they should use a heal pack to revive themselves or use it when they're really hurt bad Bandia needs to fix that problem
So, is this a new SD line game series or is this taking SD Gundam G Generation series place?
I heard that the gundams/mobile suits from the wing series is not in the game except for wing zero. I really want to play with heavyarms .
It's like that G Generation Genesis game but without the RTS stuff.
In a review I would like to see the full UI and how easy that is to navigate, the crafting you mentioned, the in-between parts which are not combat focused. This review was largly useless to showing what the game is in all its parts.
Hope they fix it and the weapon hope they can do something to costuming it
This looks very fun!
Huge Gundam fan but like you said I can't get into the midget robots fighting I'm going to skip this one and just stick to Maxi boost for right now
I originally was disappointed but just play gundam battle operations 2 if you want full scale gundam and this for more, it's really fun!!
The game looks amazing. I’m excited about a game finally lol
im pretty sure sdgo came out before monster hunter
I am on the fence with this game….Feel like I should wait for a sale but that could be awhile
I'll happen bamco wants this game to do well
@@Matanumi bamco?
I think we can all agree when we think about it deep down in our heart of hearts...
The Principality of Zeon did nothing wrong.
The chibi style has been a deterrent for me up until now but the gameplay looks so good i think i need to try.
It upsetting that bandai namco keep trying to make western releases of the gundam IP and we never bite. Gundam Evolution sadly didnt last long. Hopefully they give up on us.
GOOD REVIEW
1 thing that botters me is the small sise of the gundams but after this review i have put that aside game looks pretty cool
Not a bad game but not worth $60 for what’s on offer
They should team up with that other game thar made action figure shooter and make a gunpla shooting game.
SD gundam stands for super deformed, It isn't disconnected from the gundam art style, because SD gundam is an established part of the style
nice review!
Never really cared for the anime. I always skipped it until dragon ball z came on the tv. But this game is so fun. Just finished playing the demo and im definitely buying a hard copy.
loser for buying physical
Is the hard copy better than the easy copy?
Guess I'm not normal. Game does look cool though.
The combat is just straight up fun. Unlocking new gundams with various different fighting styles keeps it fresh.
Free on game pass, definitely get it.
Him explaining some Gundam fans might be disappointed in the chibi style shows he doesn't know what his talking bout.
Ima get this physical on playasia I wish the price was dropped a bit I just got splatoon 3
Nintendo is for losers
You know nothing of monster hunter if you think these are similar..
Hmmm so jp dub is a downside? Personally i think anything that's jp dub is amazing.
Thanks to this video, I discover I am "normal" LOL
I love this game so much!
After having experience playing dynasty warriors Gundam, this game lacks a lot of stuff for a next gen game 😅
wish we could get something like this without the SD theme... 😞
Thats basically gundam breaker isnt it?
Looks very similar in terms of gameplay except this game seems like less of a chaotic fuster cluck
@@ApenBaard pretty much what I meant
@@Wolves437 if you meant that you are a cluster fuck then i agree
Wow maybe if i stream this some of my clips might copyrighted i guess
They gameplay reminds me the dynasty warrior gundum game
Can you make your own suit to play through the game?
I even put this game on my wishlist, wishing it'd be free after its release but eh. Guess I'd be waiting for that other free game instead.
Good gundam game but want full size gameplay
gundam games in short: besides the graphic, nothing had improved.
So, story wise it sounds kind of like Dragonball XenoVerse. Just an excuse to put characters, in this case mobile suits, that don't belong.
Love Gundam, but that art style, I just can't do it.
I went ahead and played the demo...yeah it is a geegolly NO until the price drops. Though I can see it being fun in the long run.
The story is rubbish. But the game loop is tons of fun. Really having a good time unlocking the suits
like the combat
